One thing I don't get. These are secret characters right? Boon and Co. want them to be hard to find. If there are no super secret characters, then why in the fuck would Boon tell every magazine, you can unlock them by using keys!! Yeah.....wow.....not so secret anymore. That's not hyping up the game. Thats giving away stuff they claim they want to be hard to find.

They've done it many times. They told everyone hiddens would be unlocked with UKKs. They told everyone hiddens would be unlocked in koffins.
Almost anything you hear from Midway is addressed to the average fan. The kind of person who gets info from magazines. They're not taking into account the internet and how fast word travels here.
Again, it's hype. You're not going to see "oh man MK is going to change the face of gaming! We've added in these secrets and they'll be found and all over the net within days! It's gonna be huge!"

It's like, what exactly does "way after" mean? you finish Konquest then just do a couple extra missions? Or is this a 4 month long process? It could mean anything. You can already tell this is going to be another "final secret" debacle where 2 years from now people will still be insisting Sektor or Bob Hope or whatever is hidden in the game because "Ed Boon it'd take way after!".

I mean if reviewers, game developers, testers and etc. are nerds and we all read reviews, play those games, posts on messageboards and read what other people say about it, and go into buying the merchandising of those; what does that make us, mega-nerds or nerds^squared? lol. Yeah it will be interesting to see people hounding on this secret still if the characters aren't really there.

Sure Boon has promised crap to us before,but fell back on his promise for who the hello knows why,but Deception won't be without secret characters

I've got no problem with the content in this game now. There's a shit ton of stuff. My gripe is, along with many other peeps around here, don't say something such as, "There's going to be a torrent of hidden stuff and some super unlockables after you complete konquest mode"
Boon is famous for promising things then half-ass delivering them or not even delivering them at all. Like I said, I've got no problem with the game itself, but now that the good 'ol super unlockables were mentioned, its got me all torqued up.
If you aren't going to put them in the game, fine. But then don't say you are in an interview then don't deliver the goods. That's fuckin bull.

Hype makes you want to buy the game. He doesn't really count on us over at MKO to be speculating this. He just thinks we'll say..."Deh...Okay, Must buy game. Oooohh Shiny disk!"

That's silly. First off, you can't tell for certain who they are from the sillhouettes. If you could there wouldn't be so much speculation over the past few months. Even if you can tell who the hidden character is it still "counts". It wasn't a big secret that Smoke was hidden in MK3 but nobody is going around saying it doesn't count.

I don't understand why there is still so much speculation over the blanked out characters on the select screen,but I can see them just fine on a certain image I've seen before.Why would there be speculation when Boon confirmed the other 12 characters,and you just fit even the outline of their heads and BAM you know which one fits in what place.

I think they've always said you can give your Shujinko different moves. I remember a video posted that showed him doing Raiden's superman thing, Liu Kang's bike kick, and a telekinetic slam.

middle row-across from left side=Raiden Li Mei Noob/smoke Tanya
bottom from left to right=Shujinko Hotaru Kira Liu Kang
here are my explainations.....many are obvious
Kobra=hairstyle is the same exact one I've seen in numerous gameplay vids and images
Kenshi=you can clearly see the tip of his nose and blindfold
Sindel=while not 100% sure on this,her hair looks like no other out of all the deception images I've seen so far......this image looks like Sindels hair
Havik=haviks head in the original first image of him had this same exact shape and size....you can also see in the bottom right part of his face,all you see are large teeth(from no skin over the mouth)
Raiden=look at the damn hat
Li Mei=same exact headpiece we've seen as a second costume for her.......it's 100% obvious that's li mei
Noob/smoke=it takes a retard not to see this
Tanya=same width of hair as seen in all gameplay vids and renders...same shape face and size also....clearly a female anyway
Shukinko=the shape of the head and pony tail looks 100% like him
Hotaru=the flags,hello
Kira=the hair is 100% the same as in all renders and gameplay vids of Kira
Liu Kang=you can clearly see that he's wearing a bandana by looking at the bump at the top left of his forehead....also same exact hair shape as Liu Kang

I could have sworn they mentioned (or at least some site did) taking that out of the game before it was released. Either way, there was still facial damage and torn clothing isn't something that's going to sell a game. Still though, if they didn't retract it, I'll give you that one, but it's hardly that big.
