So, everyone we know has either gotten an extreme makeover, or a BIG ASS belt. Which one will Baraka have? Please elaborate. grin

Well from the recent screenshot it looks like his arm is classic enough. I'm thinking a mix of his MK2 and MKD outfits.

His MK II look was good for those type of graphics, but I like his MK Deception look best!

I disagree. I think his Deception appearance looked too cartoony. I think with next gen technology and Unreal engine assistance-- they can pull off some really vicious looking Baraka. I wouldn't mind a new slate with a complete make-over, but if they were to use a rehashed look, I'd like his MK II look, rather than his Deception look.

I think it'll be MKII based, with huge belt. And I don't know about anyone else, but I find the "sunken pits for eyes" look better than the yellow eyes he's sported ever since MK went 3D. It just looks creepier that nothing seems to be there, at least to me (Similarly, I like the eyes on Scorpion's UMK3 portrait better than the white pupils he's had in other games).

He will be in Spartan armour and have plasma blades.

If Jax can seem to lumber off the cover of Crackdown/Gears of War I'm not holdin them to any standards.

I hope he has his thinner MK2 look and not the bulky MKD/MKA look. The lean, mean, blade machine is way better than a stocky monster.

Most MK characters have a somewhat classic approach to there outfits.... Doubt will see the armor this time around. I'm just glad he's in it. I like how you can draw the blades out in the newer MKA and MKD. It sounds like Wolverine.

Hopefully he looks amazing, specially because he took the spot of characters who deserved it more then he did.

But I like Baraka, I think he rocks.

The most important thing is to make him feel and look NEW! Let him retain classic elements from his classic looks like Sonya and Shang Tsung, but give him and overall change that makes him seem entirely fresh and cool, like the two mentioned above.

I hope they dont do to him what they did to Liu Kang and Kitana though. That would suck, specially because his look does have the danger to fall under the copy/paste category for some reason.

I hate the Deception version, didnt like the design or the buff character model and cartoony face.

They should go back to a slimmer more agile looking baraka like in MK2 or Gold.

To be serious, I'm liking a more MK2 look for him; I do agree slimmer and meaner looked better than his stockier look in MKD (although I think he looked okay in that game as well). As for his eyes...the way they seemed to look in the MK2 shot is by far the best I've seen in terms of intimidation factor. I think the empty eyes look suits him; other characters like Raiden, Scorpion, Fujin, etc. are really "set off" on the whole intimidation scale by their glowing, almost empty white eyes. Baraka, on the other hand, benefits from the dark, empty eyes look...hell, one of the other posters (Godzilla, I believe) on this thread explained it better than me, but you get what ol' Jack is saying, right?

Yeah that was a pretty good look but he'll be looking like yo momma! Nah I think that they should make him look like MKII with Unreal Engine graphics combined with being more vicious then I look foreward to playing him and fighting those who choose him glasses

I know you were joking man; what you stated is exactly what I was referring to. They should simply base the look on his MK2 version, not actually use his MK2 form in the game! I didn't think I had to be that specific, HAHAHAHA!!! But thanks for further clarifying my point, man. I'll be adding you to my buddy list.

And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.

his MK 2 look was the best, his MK 4 look wasn't bad either. They gotta keep it realistic, because his MKD look was too cartoony. ( goes for all the characters actually)
