Something very good is all that we want. I think the MK team has the time to make a great fighting game and also a mini-game. There is no discrepancy between the two. But I think the games on Wii sports are really something good, so there could be a games like they have on the Wii.

They are trying to make a "dark and gritty" MK game and people still want those stupid minigames,MK doesnt needs that garbage anymore,MK needs to focus on the gameplay and nothing else....but the Mk Team rarely listen to the fans who want the game to improve,they listen more to the fanboys who always are crying for fatalities,minigames,costumes and why his favorite character is not in the game...so is very possible that "minigames" will make an appearence in MK8.

They can add mk1,mk2,mk3 and mk trilogy.
Anything else will be WASTE OF space and TIME.

I'd rather have an upgraded version of MKT, with new moves, fight system etc.

Something like what these guys are making.

Going off of what these guys said, the MK team has always maintained that there are secrets that still haven't been uncovered in some of the previous MK games. I'd like to see MK1 and MK2 specifically, but revamped with crisper 2D visuals and anything/everything that didn't originally make it into those games as well as things that accidentally did. Yeah, I'd like to see Ermac as a real playable character in MK1. I'd like to see Reptile playable as well. Jax was supposed to be in MK1, so put him in there as well. Then maybe put in a few characters that ended up on the cutting room floor due to time or memory constraints. No, I'm not asking for Zebron (though I think he was later anyways).

Anyways, I'd think of it as like a directors cut of each game. Put in any and all content that the MK team would have liked to have put in those games but for any variety of reasons was unable to. I mean, for all we know, maybe the MK team had a completely different idea for a character, but had to make them differently because of memory constraints. Maybe they wouldn't have done all of those pallette swapped outfits if they had the time and memory, who knows.

Along with sprucing up the graphics to make them more up to date with the better looking 2D games currently out, Give us a little more like multiple costumes per character, some extra arenas that may have wound up on the cutting room floor etc etc. Oh, and for God sake, if there were ANY secrets that people failed to uncover in those games, maybe clue us in on them??

Just an idea...

Oh, and this is about all I would want to see from minigames. I really do hope that they focus on the gameplay first, make it fun and easy to get into yet complex and difficult to master. Then focus on making cool and unique characters and an engaging story. Then I'd like to see more fighting modes like a dedicated 1 player story mode (complete with cinemas), an arcade mode, versus, 2 on 2 tag, 3 on 3 tag, team battle, survival and online play.

Then I'd want to see a greatly expanded kreate a kharacter mode. Give us a TON more special moves and weapons and clothing options. Allow us to make our own plotlines for our created characters begining, middle and end. Let us make a versus screen picture, a character select picture, give us a sound option that lets the computer figure out how to phonetically pronounce our characters name. Give us our own select screen and the ability to make an entire Mortal Kombat tournament. This would be the big mode for me.

Then maybe a small krypt for unlocking alt costumes and new characters. But don't make us have to pay for pictures of the MK team. Kreate a kharacter stuff should be earned through playing the fighting modes, but maybe packages of stuff like (Johnny Cage special moves, clothes, fighting style, signature movements like victory poses etc could all be packaged under "Johnny Cage File")

THEN, after all of that, is when I'd start thinking about minigames. So to me, a revamped MK1 and MK2 would be pretty low on my wish list, but hey, at least it's there at all...

Wow Bleed and Baraka407, those are some fantastic iterations of relevant "mini games".

I wanna go in a different direction though, and say that I don't want any mini games at all...The only thing I could see right now that would make sense is a chess type war mini game that symbolized MKAs' opening movie.

This gets too complicated to explain completely, but the basis of a "mini-game" like that would suffice for me if they felt the need to put something in there.

I'd run with something like you guys suggested, or nothing otherwise...

Yo bleed, booN said that they'll include versions of classic MK games that are different from the originals.Maybe we'll get upgrade for MKT or atleast UMK3.

i actually liked MKD konquest. i hated the real time fight mechanic in mka konq.

id rather see more put into the fighting game.

more stages, more moves, deeper fight mechanic.

If they want to bring back mingames, just bring back Test Your Might. Other than that, they shouldn't. Takes the fun away from MK if its not TYM

Mortal football, similiar to the nfl street and blitz series. It has tackle fatalities for every male. Scorpions is he would lash his spear in the receivers back, and sub zeros tackle would be the freeze shatter, reptiles acid bath,etc. the football arenas are scorpions lair, subzeros tundra, noobs pit, and some are in the realms of mk those would be unlockable in konquest. And the field goals are the portals. i love this idea.

I say chess and puzzel fighter shold return those were the best games beause i dont think they rushed those miny games like the stupid motor kombat in my mind motor kombat was a big faliur

Hopefully they will. I like MK because it's fun, I don't want it to be a complex realistic fighting game, that would suck and make it boring. I love MK's mini games and little features, they're a lot of fun.

And God forbid the MK team listen to the people that will actually bring them money.

I hated the Mini Games...Puzzle was okay.'
But Then it all got old.
I think Test your Might and Test your Sight, O r add new stuff like, Test your Strength, Or Test Your Aim. I don't know. Just some Random Ideas.

I honestly haven't cared for any of the mini-games. However, I do kinda miss "Test Your Might" from MK1 and MK:DA.

I think that in MK8 they should forget about mini games (except test your might) and forget about konquest mode and just focus on having a solid fighting system, great fatalities, great multitiered levels with uneven ground , a great story and some crazy graphics.

Oh and flawless online play.

No Mini Games should Return other than Test your Might and Test your Sight.
Because The mini games take to much of their time and to much of the Disk. And therefore make Crappy Kombat Gameplay.

It would depend what kind of Mini-game they're making.I don't think they should even have a Mini-game for their next game (MK8) unless it's 'dark and gritty' like they said the game is going to be.
