You know how those PS3/Nintendo Wii gamers keep saying that the "Red Ring of Death" is the 360's absolute weakness?
Bullshit.
I just got the elated "Red Ring", and all I did (honest to God) was turn off the console, wait a few, and turn it right back on.
Did it work?
You bet your fucking ass it did.
And so here I am, the "depressed assassin", strolling along the streets of Jerusalem while listening to Diana Krall, informing my fellow MK-mates that the Red Ring is a fable, and can be overcome by the simple push of a button (quite literally).

I've had the red ring of death 3 times so far on the same console and did the EXACT same thing you did and it recovered fine. No red ring of "death".
Seems to me like maybe people are doing shit like that to get a brand new free console out of it.

Whenever you get a power outage or power "blink" when you are playing on the 360 you will get the "red ring of death" and it's easily solved by just powering off and then on again. It's nuts how people aren't doing this, but then again they likely are just freaking to get a brand new console for nothing. :-/
