Actually cables from the original Xnox won't work on the 360, it has a diffrent plug shape. It really doesn't matter though since the premium package comes with it's own compontent cables. In addition Moster is making their own Xbox 360 cables which are white to match the system. Also they have 2 compont packages. One with A/V audio, and anouther one with Fiber optics.

That list you have is also correct. Something else you might want to add to that list at the bottom is HDMI, which are supposed to be better than even component cables. Unfortunetly there aren't any availabel for the 360 at this time, but maybe at a later date.
Also is anyone watching G4Tectv's countdown to the 360 launch? There are 400+ people lining up outside of Best Buy's, and other stores across the country to try and get a 360. The majority of stores are only getting 50 systems!

My question is if you already have a registered xbox live account on the original xbox, does that mean you can play online games on the xbox360 when you buy the new console?

Xbox 360 has upgraded the Live service to two separate branches: Xbox Live Silver and Xbox Live Gold. With Silver, you can get certain content and do things to a limit. But you need Gold if you actually want to play against other people. Silver is free, and Gold is exactly the same as the original Xbox Live membership.

If you were a subscriber to Live before 360 came out, you're automatically upgraded to Gold. You'll verify, with your Gamertag or something So to answer the question, yes.

On a secondary note, Its being widely reported that the x-box 360 is having problems with disk read errors and stuff,,,people have been reporting it....what do you think about that...is it a bad start for the 360, or just a fluke>>>

Well it is a new system, they introudced alot of new things that no system has been able to do so it is acceptable for there to be a few problems.

So...

Anybody know what I should do since my 360 keeps freezing up EXCEPT sending it back to get it repaired. Take into consideration that I don't live in the U.S. and sending it and getting it shipped back to me here in Honduras would cost me A LOT of money.

Well, after searching on the 'net, I found a solution, and it DOES work (well, at least I say it does, 'cause I played for 2 hours straight with no problem whatsoever; the most I could play before was 10-15 minutes before it froze up).

If you're having problems or you know somebody that has problems with the Xbox 360 freezing up, the problem is with the PSU (power supply unit). The 2 simplest ways of fixing the problem are:

1)Hanging the PSU on a string (should be a rather strong string, IMO).

B)Placing the PSU on the edge of an open box (this is what I did, and if you need to see what I'm talking about, go here .


Basically, what those 2 solutions offer is maximum air-flow/heat-release for the PSU.

I'm willing to bet that the PS3 won't be out until Nov. 2006. A lot pf people fail to take into consideration that even though everyone is saying the PS3 will come out in the Spring around May 2006. That that is most likely only the Japenese market. You still have a few months delay between when they will release it state side. Also I don't think store will start taking pre-orders until E3, unless Sony announces the price of the PS3 at CES in Jan/Feb. when they show off the final design of the controller. I'm getting my pre-order in early to avaid what happened to me with the PS2. I may also conider placing a second pre-order at another nearby store as well.

I'm also curious of what the final controller design will be.They're safest bet would be the same controller,but have all be wireless.

Well a lot of website, and other people that cover the video game industry have said that your not going to get something considerably different, than what has already been shown off in the "boomerang" controller. Just mostly likely some minor changes, and tweeks to the design. They'll probably just shorten up the handles to make it look more like the PS2 controller.

i have a 360 and the graphic and games are awsome. I think that the playstaion 3 is going to be awsome also. I am suspect about the nintendos controller. I think all video game systems are cool in their on way. I grew up loving everything nintendo so it holds a place in my heart.

Well, think about it this way. By the time you get one, maybe all the problems the 360 is having/causing will have been fixed and you won't have to ship your console back to Microsoft.
