If they want to make it so that there are more females in the game then I think that this pretty much guarantees that Maya will make an appearance. Which I'm glad of cause she's one of my favorite K I fighters. There's not even a question about Orchid. I doubt there'd ever be a K I game without her. Also, since Kim, Maya and Orchid are the only females of the franchise... I'm betting we'll see quite a few new female faces.
I can't wait to see some of the updated designs of characters. Most looking forward to seeing Maya, Orchid, Tusk and Spinal.

That's the best thing to do with whatever he says. Always. No exceptions. ^^

If DH plays their cards right, they can pull in a whole new generation of fighting gamers AND keep the old fanbase who are in it due to nostalgia.

Nope. It has beautiful graphics, awesome soundtrack and interesting cast of characters.
While gameplay was somewhat lacking and confusing, visuals and audio in this game is still very remarkable. It is a game with RARE quality, and this means, that much like all their other bestsellers is doesn't afraid testament of time much.

I can't agree with the graphics. The game doesn't even look Next-gen in that regard.

I agree with this, I wasn't expecting KI3 ti even surface but I figured if one did the first thing it would have is something akin to MK9 in graphics but better.
I can get over it by the end of the day if everything else is up to standard.

I can tell you that from everything I've seen, you are mistaken.

Is there any video that you can give a link to that might prove me wrong? I've seen a lot of videos of the game and nothing says next gen. Tekken Tag 2 had graphics that looked better and that's a current gen title.
KI was praised for it's graphics in it's hay day. But these graphics really aren't anything special. They look pretty standard for current gen titles.

Max's KI graphics break down

Not bad, but it doesn't really say to me that it's graphics are next gen. Just that it has good lighting and effects as well as physics. He may have a point about people not seeing it for themselves though.

Looking up videos of KI on youtube is futile because the player runs at 30 FPS, not 60 and most of the footage is shot off screen. So you won't be getting a good idea of what the game looks like in person. And the lighting in KI is actually next gen. Everything is rendered in real time, not baked. When Jago fires off his Endo-Kyuken and the background goes dark because of the lightening change, that's not being done in any fighting game today. Same can be said for the amount of particles that are rendered if his fireball is blocked.

That's basically what I'm saying. Since none of us have seen the game up close for ourselves we can't really see the game's full graphical nature.

Maybe not, but it isn't difficult to see what's possible on this generation of consoles and what KI is doing on the next gen. The guys have discernable nipples now. Clearly a giant leap from what we have today.

I said that, I want to see him however. I'm happy to say KI is coming to my city come July via Evo, it'll be the first time I've gone to Evo so needless to say I'm excited! :D

I'm afraid that, barring a ridiculously exorbitant increase in dev times and budgets that could be seriously damaging to the way the industry functions, video game graphics have pretty much peaked.
I mean sure, there'll be little things like particle effects, animation code to make Lara Croft's ponytail wobble around more realistically, more games will have a better draw distance or less frequent framerate dropping, whatever... but most next gen games are going to look barely discernible from what was possible on the 360/PS3.
That's why, personally, I'm completely against there even being a new gen of consoles coming out so soon, I don't think the shelflife of the current gen is truly over.

I got to disagree with you. Games like Halo 4 and the upcoming GTA5 come on 2 disks on the Xbox 360, and had a mandatory install, so that gamers don't have to swap between disks. Skyrim on the PS3 can't even support the majority of it's own DLC because there isn't enough RAM to run it. When the 360 launched, the system was praised because games like COD2 where on par with their PC counterpart. Now games like BF3&4 aren't even on par with their PC counterpart and are criticized because they don't even support as many players.
This current gen of systems have had a much longer cycle than any previous gen has, and developers have also felt that because this cycle carried on for so long, gamers have moved on to mobile. So I think its more than time for next gen systems.
