I got to watch a bit of MvC3 in action today at Comic Con. It looks really smooth. I didn't get to play it though, I'll try to get on it tomorrow when I go back.

One of my pet peeves right now is that there are too many short characters in the game, especially on the Capcom side. I still think that they don't fit in this type of game very well. They need more characters like Magneto-sized. On the other hand, Capcom are the ultimate trolls. Instead of getting the Bionic Commando from the psn/xbl hit, we got the one from the huge flop. What a bunch of dicks.

Still not sure what to think of MODOK. Such a weird choice, and not just because of obscurity. I'm looking at his pics, and I can't even muster a reaction. In few days, I'll know whether I like the choice or not.

Spencer is okay I guess. I would have rather had the older more established version from the original, but it's kind of a "whatever" issue for me. Moar Psylocke.

Don't hate M.O.D.O.K. He is badass character with a lot of potentials, and we're talking about the kind that sentinel had! I judge characters base on their gameplay potential and not popularity.

But blackl0tus wanted M.O.D.O.K. so what's the point? All this comes down to is people wanting their favorites in instead of others. At least ya got your boy Arthur up in MvC.

I guess...but they would have to at least fit the character design with the moves to make some sense. Maybe Professor X? I'm fine with M.O.D.O.K. though. To be honest, there is actually more hate for Arthur on SRK surprisingly. People actually like M.O.D.O.K. since he is looking to be the next Sentinel or at least a very solid keepaway character.

Well, if we're going for artistic diversity, I don't know if they could have gotten more unique that Modok. I'm still undecided if I like the character or not, but visually, he emanates this Big-Trouble-in-Little-China humor which is rather pleasant. There's already quite a bit of silliness in the MvsC franchise, and I think Modok will compliment the atmosphere in the same way as Felicia and Viewtiful Joe.

I've never liked Baraka in MK, but I can appreciate the sort of ingredient he adds to MK's aesthetic soup. If all the characters looked sleek and colorful, there would be a sense of unbalance.

Time will tell, but if nothing else, at least he's not generic.


Agreed, but the number of people who want Modok is still kinda pending. People may complain now, but I have a feeling we're gonna see this guy quite a bit online.

BTW, I'm guessing Modok's inclusion was spurred by his presence in Marvel's comedy series of youtube videos released last year. If you guys haven't seen them, they're actually kinda funny.
