Not really MvC related; but "Phoenix Wright Vs Professor Layton" is happening.

It's pretty much the greatest game ever created.

So basically Capcom said (translated from Twitter):
PROBABLY no more Darkstalkers; no Demitri confirmed
NO Breath of Fire characters
NO Sengoku Basara characters
NO SF3 Gill
NO Monster Hunter characters (Remember that for Rathalos, the MH team said no, but since the game comes out in 2011 there is a high probability they will make up their mind)
And for Megaman, they said to wait a little more.

I think Capcom is trolling us.

There just isn't anyway Hagger could be in this game. It's just too awesome.

As cool as that sounds, there is no room for grapplers in here.

SNK grapplers?

Sadly I wouldn't know since I had very few experiences with snk fighters. I do know that he would need combo-able grabs, special grabs out of blockstun, moves that prevent opponents from escaping, be very fast. Let's face it, xmvssf Zangief would get owned in mvc2. Not that that have anything to do with this game but I'm just saying...

Yeah, that's exactly what SNK's grapplers are like.

I'm certainly hoping he plays like them.

That would be nice. Anyways just some things I'm concerned with as of right now:

1. Hitstun decay: Remove this or change it to per move instead of per hit. I would rather prefer the damage scaling and dizzy from mvc2 though.

2. Assists: As of right now, I believe assists have no invincibility along with slow startup and recovery (faster than tvc but slower than mvc2). Defensive assists are not safe. Return it back to mvc2.

3. OTG: unrollable after knockdown from aerial combos leads to otg > aerial combo (hyper); almost everybody have this which can get very boring fast. Must add in a tech roll option.

4. Tagging: Holding a button to tag is an inconvenience. Reports from testers showed that characters do not tag when they need to the most.

I'm probably missing others and a bunch of character specific mechanics and properties.

Also, does anybody find X-factor to be stupid and would rather have a cancel type of system?

So She-Hulk and Zero is confirmed for this on SRK. You know....I usually don't really give a damn about characters in a fighting game, but a lot of the choices for this game has nothing but been god awful. I mean isn't this game supposed to appeal to the casuals, so how to these choices even make any sense?! Not to mention the scrubby controls and everything.

They make sense to Marvel.

Zero was pretty much guaranteed, though.

I think the most perturbing thing about a character like She-Hulk is that, in a practical sense, she doesn't bring a lot to the table. These games invariably paint in broad strokes and when there're already strong characters marching around, it's a bit of a diss to all the more diverse characters that could've fielded a spot. We've already got Wolverine-lite (X-23), now we've got Hulk-lite. Super-Skrull might come from a similar warm and fuzzy unexpected place, but at least he has function working in his favour.

She-Hulk's a great character, but I'm not counting on great helpings of storyline or interesting presentation in this game (She-Hulk was breaking the fourth wall long before Deadpool). There were far better choices. I'll be interested to see how they treat her, though.

With She-Hulk in the game, I'm even more crushed that they said they don't plan to include Phoenix Wright. You could have had an epic courtroom battle in the streets right there since they're both lawyers.

Zero is cool, but still no Mega Man? Even if they announce him, that's 3 Mega Man characters; couldn't they give us Strider or Regina or something?

I'm not upset with She-Hulk (she was breaking the fourth wall long before Deadpool), but the cast has been extremely underwhelming. We now have Wolverine-lite (X-23) and Hulk-lite, but no Ghost Rider, Daredevil, or other more practical and diverse characters? Kind of disappointing.

She-Hulk kinda looks like Sonya form umk3 except green.
A lot of fans are turned off by this roster. Not that I care but talk about lame.

1. Exactly as planned. I'll be excited when they announce Hiryu, but pretty bored with the rest of the cast (Frank West, Spider-Woman, Red Auriewhatever)

Like X-23, I think they are/were better choices than She-Hulk.
