None of these characters have been confirmed or de-confirmed. It's pretty much just bogus leak-list hype.

So far the list I have has predicted every character accurately. So until it's proven wrong, I'm assuming it's right

Now I'm curious as to which list you have. I'm almost certain it's the one Kensk called bullshit on; the one with Mr.Fantastic and no MODOK, maybe?

I actually really like that list for the remaining characters.

Still crushed at no Phoenix Wright, but it sounds like a lot of old-favorites are returning.

Though we'd also officially have girl Hulk, girl Wolverine, and girl Spider-man in the roster as well... and I just can't help but think we could have used at least one of those spaces for someone more unique... like Squirrel Girl.

If that list is legit, my only real issues are with C. Viper (I prefer Cammy) and Howard the Duck. But I am liking Venom and Ms. Marvel.

I figured it was that one. This image apparently came from Capcom Europe but no one knows anything beyond that. The problem I have with this list is that it came out after a majority of these unprecedented choices were, for all intents and purposes, already confirmed. S-Kill pretty much confirmed She-Hulk and Storm, C. Viper had a silhouette, one of the Marvel writers used the phrase "Capcom's villains are so mean" which gives away another bad guy for Capcom's side besides Wesker, S-kill said MMX fans would be happy which gives away Zero, and Megaman was a guarantee.


Then there's the more murky, speculative side to it:

S-kill or some Capcom PR guy confirmed that the first leak list was in fact a very early roster. Chuck from Dead Rising was on that list. So why would Frank West be in rather than Chuck. Capcom wouldn't miss an opportunity to promote their latest game.

As for Shuma and Venom-Niitsuma said that they couldn't put any more Darkstalkers in the game because their moves all involved transformations and such, which put to much strain on the consoles. Shuma and Venom's moves are almost nothing but weird transformations and animation intensive. I mean, Human Torch actually had a model made but the fire was to much for Xbox and PS3's puny 512 MB graphics processor.



The list just hasn't made any guess that would really validate it. I'd like for it to be real because Howard and Shuma would be great. But the fact that it only came out about two weeks after the second latest reveal doesn't really inspire confidence in me. If Red Arremer or Shuma or someone equally as surprising is confirmed then I'll believe it.

The choices they're making for this game are just abysmal.

Are you kidding me? Its awesome. On the marvel side they have every character that matters in Marvel comics. And the capcom side is looking just as great. Spencer, Viewtiful Joe,Chris Redfield, and Zero. So far the roster looks better than the last game and its only a little more than half the size. This is one of the few fighting games where I don't know who will be my main, and I still have two other characters to add. Very rarely can I find a back up character that I truly like, but in this game it's going to be hard to choose because the character choice is so good.

The only Capcom character I really want is Haggar and its looking like a good possibility that he'll make it in. I'm also glad that a lot of spaces aren't filled with b list x-men characters, Street Fighters, and Dark Stalkers. I honestly don't know what other good capcom characters to add. They have all of the heavy hitters except Megaman but that;s kind of their mascot so yah he's in.

She-Hulk is just a terrible choice. I know they said no Fantastic Four, no Ghost Rider, so how are all the characters of importance on the Marvel side in? She-Hulk is more important than all those characters? Daredevil? The Marvel side is awful. X-23 has to be the most ridiculous choice I've ever heard of. If you're going to put in some X-Men, at least put in the right ones instead of female clones.

Tron Bonne needs to go also. What a waste. Capcom needs to represent Onimushu and Breath of Fire.

So because your characters didn't make the cut you want to cut Tron, a character with, you know, interesting gameplay? Riiiggghhht.

Edit: Jill and Shuma are the first DLC characters?!

To me Hulk, Spiderman, Ironman, Wolverine, Thor, and Captain America are the biggest characters and the characters I would like to see the most. They also added Deadpool who is insanely popular with comic book readers. I don't really care about Daredevil that much. Even if he was a good character I wouldn't use him. The FF4 is a big name but the only one who I'd have a little intrest would be Mr. Fantasitc. I like the Punisher, but whats the point? Chris, Deadpool, and Dante are all gun wielders. The movie kind of killed Ghost Rider for me and I don't think the public would care to see him again. She-Hulk and X-23 play differently than their male counterparts.

Don't care about Onimushu except Jean Reno. Tron Bonne is a waste.

No Marvel females except for those 2 rip-offs of male characters. WTH? It's baffling.

And too many stupid characters like that dog and octopus.

The choices they've made for the roster so far are odd (MODOK, x23, wtf?) but this is Capcom and they won't be putting in the obvious characters. Right now I'm pretty content with the roster. I would trade Spencer and Tron Bonne for Phoenix Wright and a Monster Hunter rep any day of the week though.

And Statue, I hope that list isn't legit. Sentinel, Akuma and Phoenix? Should be Clops, Bison and Blade.
