Why did Shao Kahn poison onaga? because he knew if he fought Onaga fair and square he would get smoked. Onaga would definetly win. Unless shaokahn cheated again.

Shao Kahn. He's a lot more powerful than he was when he poisoned Onaga all those years ago. Not to mention he didn't seem a bit worried when he had three of his greatest enemies before him in his throne room(MKA Konquest).

Shinnok has no "Rites" or "Divinity" (think like having a Superman, or better even, a Jesus complex) to compare as far as I know of.

In his current state, I perceive Shinnok as an extremely experienced Necromancer....Also, if I'm not mistaken, Shinnok can actually "die" as he is, and Raiden can't//won't.

Not enough to beat Raiden. Eons of experience would make him a definate threat to Raiden however(who knows how much, or what Shinnok knows?).

Well, seeing how Shinnok killed all those Gods long ago, he might have a shot. But since he dosn't have his amulet and he's in the Netherrealm, Raiden.

I'd say Raiden because Shinny is without his amulet, but his experience would make the fight close.

well........technically, (kicked in the) Shinnok never had the amulet during mk, it was stolen by quan chi, right? but i say raiden because he cant die

Shinnok is a powerful fighter indeed, but he is not match for the thunder god Raiden; that's unless he has his amulet of course.
