I'm actually concerned about the state of this contest. The deadline is approching, and so far I have only receive 2 fakes. That's not a good sign.

So for what you were asking about the cloud effect. Basically in Photoshop you can start with a clouds filter.

That will give you the base to start from. Once you have that, just tweak the shape however you need to. Paint, smudge, dodge, burn, use the Liquify filter....

Play with different layer styles and add color with different layers.

Bahhh...this is too complicated. I like what was posted on that thread I showed you since it had a step by step procedure with pictures. Thanks for at least replying back unlike some people on this board.

School did start for some users, perhaps that's interfering with their work schedules. Hope that this doesn't come down to being between 2 pictures only...

Fake 1:
I like the concept of the fake and the punishement Cage is enduring, but it is not that well made. I dig the effort put into it but you need to improve on the shade when coloring the sprites.
Thumbs up for originality.

Fake 2:
Nothing really going on.

Fake 3:
The background is the best part of the fake.
Illusion's character is just like a cheap version of Noob Saibot. Nothing original. The fatality is original though. But the blood should be thicker. Illusion's as an weird position, kinda like he needs to use the bathroom urgently lol. You should have chose another sprite pose imo.
The energy bar on Kahn should be empty and I don't see the shadows.

I almost choose number 1 but Number 3 gets my vote. Simply love that background. The Fatality is good too. My only complain on this one is Illuision's character's originality and weird pose.

I can see how the timing of this contest being a little odd and difficult for students and people with full time jobs. Realistically, I would suspect the best time to probably start another one of these would be Thanksgiving or something. Post the information early in the month and set the due date the Sunday after Thanksgiving to give people the best maximum possible time to get something together.

Though, I have to say that I figured that THIS contest would have more entries, but oh well. I was going to enter, but yeah I couldn't pull anything together.
