Plz make it transparent because I saw some of the renders on the front page and they dont work for me because of the light aqua background. I can't get rid of it and when I go to paint to get rid of it, it always leaves that light aqua outline.

I have a problem specificlly with cut-outs.

The program I'm using is PhotoImpact10 it's supposed to be comparable to PhotoShop 7. I can't get PhotoShop downloaded and "security unlocked?" for some reason and I've been trying to get that program or a trial or anything and this is the best I can do. This program has allowed me to make my current avatar and I'm working on my sig right now. So I know it's program capable. See?


Anyway,
I know to save as a png with a transparent background. I can save as a png, but even though I'm adjusting it to have a transparect background, It still ends up being black or white for some reason.
I've read everything that's a tip on here between this thread and the program thread and nothing really hits it right on the head for me. tutorials ect.

1. How the hell do you do it if I'm doing it wrong?

2. Is it something specific when I'm saving the picture?
It doesn't give an option to save right from the "cutting board//window" I have to finish cutting first. Then I can move the object to its own window and "save as" the object.

I pretty much got everything else figured out. Somebody Help me please.

It looks to me like you never had it on a transparent background. IN a lot of programs the default background will be black, and so even though cutting out around it, you have the original black background still visible, you need to disable/get rid of this. Am I correct, do you see it as black before you save, or do you see a transparent canvas behind your image?

O.k. Bombs-- I played around with a couple things and I figured out that the format relative to "png" is called "PSD(Photoshop File format)" on this program.

With that said, I want you to try a and see if you can get this picture of "Kirby Bullshit= Kirby BSgif" and see if it's edit-able with your photoshop program.
With the transparent background.

Predator...what? .PSD is a file format which allows you to save your file with all of it's layers. It isn't like a picture in that you can't host it on various hosting sites as an actual image.

Are you having trouble editing gif files in photoshop? Go to Image>Mode> and select RGB Color. That should solve it.

I did some experimenting based on your first reponse to me with a few of the popular saving files(gif. jpg, ect), and transparent settings, and I got it. I can do whatever I want with it now.
