All about REBIRTH ( Just some ideas)
Just chilling when I started to get these crazy ideas about MK Rebirth. As I'm sure most of you have geussed, the new webseries will most likely be like the games. (Raiden... Do I have to say more? Are they gonna make him the cable guy who gets in a freak accident? Or is he going to be a thunder god? Which one sounds more likely?) and also... (Directing STYLE. Directing: This scene should be very moody and dark, and then we will get a shot of baraka running in from here. Writing: And then we could make Baraka a doctor, make Jax a cop, and mak Kintaro a furry-type character...)
So, I was thinking we will probably never see this REBIRTH concept again. One short, and that's it. So me being one of the people who was OKAY with REBIRTH, I thought: Wouldn't it be cool if the fans continued to develop this concept? I think it would. You could do fan art, you could do short stories, and so much more. I know I will, I've already started on a short story (and I can't draw for sh**, so oh well.)
While I'm posting, I also thought I should post on here that while I was thinking I was like: What if they made REBIRTH a game? With that thought, I started to think of some fighting arenas, so here they are:
The Sewer
The Rooftop
The Street: just a small section of the city, but have police barriers all around and stuff, cause in the short, they made it sound like the city had been dealing with killings and crime all over the place.
Reptile's Apartment: Complete with dead headless bodies and destructible, well everything, walls, tables, sofas, and when you knock someone into the fridge... Heads go flying everywhere.
Cage's Apartment
The Warehouse
Shang's Hideout: Kind of an asian mob boss hideout type place
The Police Station
Scorpion's Hideout: Just a place where, as an assassin, he would store his weapons and suits and stuff.
Baraka's Hideout: I'm pretty sure we see this in the REBIRTH video.
and now some REBIRTH takes on classic arenas...
The Graveyard
The Bank
The Subway
Well thanks guys, and tell me what you think. And Please read the title, 'cause if you don't like REBIRTH don't comment saying you hate it. Sorry about the furries joke

I wrote a little something for the IMDb forums about a week ago, trying to imagine everyone in this world that no long exists:
Tim Thomason (on IMDb) Wrote:
MK1
- Sonya Blade: in the short. Partner to Deacon City Captain Jackson Briggs and coordinator of the investigation into Tsung's activities.
- Johnny Cage: in the short. Deceased.
- Liu Kang: An inside man hired by Jax and Sonya as backup in case Scorpion fails or defects to Tsung. Kang may have an ulterior motive.
- Kano: A top Deacon City crime boss hired by Tsung to take care of the Sonya/Jax problem when he learns they are sniffing around his business.
- Noob Saibot: Sub-Zero's brother, who was allowed to be killed by Sub-Zero in order to fake his death and protect him from the assassin Hasashi (Scorpion). The memory of his dead brother still haunts Sub-Zero.
- Raiden: A powerful Yakuza crime boss opponent of Tsung's, who relies on a system of tazing gadgets and his own fighting skill to protect him, rather than a group of thugs. Kidnapped by Tsung and forced to fight in his tournament, despite being an upper-tier crime boss.
- Scorpion: in the short. Assassin released by the Deacon City police to infiltrated Tsung's tournament.
- Reptile: in the short. Skin-diseased serial killer and assassin.
- Goro: Personal bodyguard to Shang Tsung. A nearly eight-foot tall man who's been bred only for combat, and knows nothing of the outside world.
- Shang Tsung: underground crime boss, a go-to man for getting in touch with various assassins and thugs around the world. He has, of late, been organizing tournaments pitting assassins in "mortal combat" for the pleasure of unknown, wealthy businessmen.
MK2
- Baraka: in the short. Crazy, Saw-type plastic surgeon assassin-thing. Sigh.
- Jax: Captain in the Deacon City Police Department, Jax Briggs has made it a priority to take down the rising criminal element in Deacon City. First and foremost, the mysterious Shang Tsung, and those who may be supporting him.
- Kitana: A Japanese prostitute who has escaped from Tsung's employ and is willing to indulge all the details about Tsung's personal life to the Deacon City police. When Scorpion and Liu Kang go missing, they may need to strong-arm her into undercover work.
- Kung Lao: Liu Kang's relative from the old country (China). Kang reflects on Lao's teachings, before he learns that he was kidnapped by Tsung and forced into the tournament. Lao is an expert on using everyday items as weapons, and has also hidden weapons in unsuspecting places - such as the brim of his hat.
- Mileena: Head mistress of Tsung and twin sister to Kitana. After Kitana is 're-acquired,' the identical Mileena is sent out to impersonate Kitana and give false info to Briggs and Blade. She also is given orders to seduce Sonya and kill.
- Smoke: An agent of the same ninja clan as Sub-Zero, he has since left to become a leading scientist in robotics and cybernetics. His propensity to cybernetically enhance himself has received the ire of traditional ninja assassins, but he has been seen in the employ of Ambassador Khan and may be the man behind his weaponized assassins.
- Sub-Zero: legendary Ninja assassin who killed Scorpion's family. His method of flash-freezing his victims is only discovered later in the series.
- Jade: Jax's girlfriend, who he begins dating after continued failure in the Tsung case. It is only later that he discovers she was a high-end assassin hired to kill him.
- Kintaro: Steroid-pumping head of security for Ambassador Shao Khan.
- Shao Khan: An Ambassador to the United States from Japan (or some fictional nation). He built a vast criminal empire in his local nation and is now attempting to build one in the United States under the guise of diplomacy. He employs diplomatic immunity to keep him safe from the police, and has many field agents, such as Shang Tsung, who grab all the headlines for what are really his actions. He was later discovered to be the financier behind Tsung's mortal combat tournament.
MKIII:
- Chameleon: A master of stealth from Khan's native country. When Khan makes his move and attempts to subvert Deacon City politics in a last-ditch effort, he sends for Chameleon to take out Governor Muldoon and have martial law declared.
- Cyrax: A weaponized assassin of Khan's. Cyrax is a near-unstoppable machine sent to take out rebellious assassins.
- Ermac: Khan's official messenger. A small, meager man, many don't realize until it's too late that Ermac can be a threat.
- Kabal: A former lieutenant of Kano's organization, Kabal was disfigured in a drug deal gone bad and has recently become an informant with the Deacon City police.
- Nightwolf: A former drug kingpin in Deacon City, Nightwolf has joined to forces opposing Khan's attempted takeover of the city, going so far as to introduce weaponized hallucinogenic gases to take down Khan's forces.
- Rain: A senior lieutenant of Shao Khan's, Rain is actually a long-term informant of the FBI, and is constantly in fear of his cover being blown.
- Sektor: Like Cyrax, the Sektor project is another weaponized assassin, this time fully artificial, but has gone beserk killing both Deacon City officials and Shao Khan's men. Even its creator, Smoke, does not know how to stop the creation, and a portion of the city has been cordoned off to hold Sektor.
- Sheeva: Revered as a goddess in her native India for a congenital disorder (she has two non-functioning arms from a deceased conjoined twin), Sheeva was kidnapped by Tsung several years ago and was raised as an oddity for his tournament. She was later purchased by Khan as a bodyguard and is assisted by several loyal Indian henchmen.
- Sindel: Shao Khan's drugged-out wife, Sindel is detained by Jax Briggs and the Deacon City Police in a desperate move to arrest Khan, which instead spirals out of control and leads to the assassination of Governor Muldoon.
- Stryker: A down on his luck former security guard, Kurtis Stryker sets up a citizen militia when it is believed that the police have abandoned the people of Deacon City. Stryker's ability to take down Khan's forces is lauded in the media and he is awarded with respect and kidnapped by Tsung.
- Khameleon: A young girl once kidnapped by Reptile and raised in his underground lair, she has grown into a deadly, twisted assassin, similar to Reptile.
- Motaro: Noted Russian equestrian, Motaro was head of operations in Japan after Khan's exit to America. He sends for Motaro to take his place when his capture or exile from America becomes increasingly likely.
MK4
- Fujin: Raiden's replacement as Yakuza boss, Fujin goes to Deacon City to consult the retired Raiden on matters after the arrest of Shao Khan. His death while visiting Raiden's home is a sign that a new evil is in town.
- Jarek: In the wake of Kano's death, Khan's arrest, and Tsung's disappearance, Jarek returns to Deacon City to take over the various factions vying for control of the criminal underground. Some say that he is merely a pawn, and Kano is in fact alive and in hiding.
- Kai: A mysterious monk who trails Quan Chi wherever he goes, although it appears he opposes him and Sareena.
- Meat: The deformed carcass of what is left of Shang Tsung after Shinnok's butchers finish with him. He is injected with pain-numbing drugs that also help with his reflexes, but his skin has been almost completely removed and he is being used as the centerpiece of a new tournament to help restore Shinnok's family's name and destroy Tsung's.
- Reiko: A former General in Shinnok's employ. Reiko organizes the new tournament.
- Sareena: Quan Chi's protege. She is sent to assassinate surviving participants of Tsung's old tournament, while Tsung is kidnapped by Shinnok.
- Tanya: A personal female guard of Shao Khan in prison, Tanya is actually an assassin slowly poisoning the man who had her family killed.
- Quan Chi: When Khan is finally arrested and brings dishonor to his family, Quan Chi is the assassin hired to take him out. He has a penchant for breaking *into* high-security prisons and using various methods to kill his prey. He is getting on in years, and trained Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion) in his younger days. Scorpion is sent to begrudgingly protect Khan in prison from his now-nemesis Quan Chi.
- Shinnok: The uber-powerful father of Shao Khan and patriarch of Khan's family, Shinnok moves to bring honor back to his name after Khan is disgraced and arrested in America. He does this through various murders and thefts.

Disagree. I believe we will see the art style return since that was most popular about the short. But, the way the characters are portrayed, and the things they are doing will be different.

Tru dat, Tru dat.
But what I meant was Deacon city and all the big stuff like that wont return. Reptile will be a ninja, baraka a tarkatan , and so on. Look at the 2 new pics, it shows scorpions spear and the way it looks pretty much confirms that he is an old style ninja again.
