Did anyone realize that MK1 and MK2 had two different directors? Paul Anderson directed the first one. He directed movies like ALIEN VS. PREDATOR, the RESIDENT EVIL SERIES, and SOLDIER (with Kurt Russel). John R. Leonetti Directed movies such as HOT SHOTS PART DEUX, SPY HARD, and was once featured on 2005's CARTOON LOGIC. Now. So all that was said in the Ultimate MKA Rant website... you wanna know why all that stuff happened? This is your answer. Shoot the directors. Blame Threshold Entertainment for pushing the product out, KNOWING full well that the movie was going to bomb. Remember folks... After MK1's successful debut, the money that was made off of the second movie was based on the HYPE. MK1 naturally HYPED us to go see the second one. We were just in for a bad suprise that would have us hating ourselves for spending our money on the feature. The third movie promises a new director, who goes by the name of Mink, who directed the Steven Segal flick "INTO THE SUN." I wonder how this is gonna turn out.... Threshold knows that they gotta redeem themselves with the public after that bullshit in 1998. Will Mink make them, or break them? That is the question asked by many.

Mink seems alright, he actually reads and responds to peoples suggestions, comments and queries about the new film on IMDB. That is the problem with video games and movies these days it isnt about if it is any good its about the hype to get good money. Look at Spiderman 3, HOW CRAP WAS THAT FILM!!! since when does spiderman turn into a sweaty little emo i mean ffs. How much commercialized was that film and how much did it bloody make.

I liked "Predator vs Alien", but wasn't "Into The Sun" B rated?

Though, I only saw parts of that movie, I hate the large majority of B rated movies.

Go get the whoever directed Doom....or Silent Hill....or Resident Evil....or fuck it even "Advent Children". Give them a good(not just decent).....a Good sized budget and let them go crazy.

What about experienced martial arts choreographers? Special effects teams, Art co-ordinators ect..? How dated are the programs and systems they're gonna be using?

How about screen-play and most importantly at this point in the game series Story and Script writers.

That's the kind of stuff I'm, looking to know concerning "who's making the thing".

You're right... complaining now is "usefulness." Hopefully it will gain the people's attention. The movie is gonna get a total make-over, maybe they'll do the movie right this time. And if they are gonna B-Rate the movie again, at least get the fight coreographer and director of the movie DRIVE, (starring Marc Dacascos and Kadeem Hardison) to direct the third film.

I thought Into the Sun was the best Seagal flick of the past few years.

And I don't know where you got your info but John R. Leonetti didn't direct Hot Shots Part Deux or Spy Hard. I'm a huge fan of those movies and the only time I remember seeing Leonetti's name on the credits is on Hot Shots Part Deux, as DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY which is really nothing like directing a movie. Annihilation was Leonetti's debut as director after he had been director of photography for Mortal Kombat (the first movie, I mean).

John R. Leonetti DID direct those flicks. The director of photography is John's brother, Mathew. Check that name out in Steven Segal's "Hard To Kill." Where ever John Directs, Mathew is behind the camera.
