Well, since Robin isn't going to be Liu Kang for this movie, maybe they should have Him play as him. In case you dont remember him, he was the Stunt Double for Donatello in the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turltle live action movie in 1989. He reappeared outside the turtle costume in part 2 as Keno. He was also the crazy guy giving The Rock a hard time in the jungle in the movie The Rundown. He now hosts a show called Final Fu.

OOOH THAT GUY!
Anyway, I think he looks a little small to play Liu. Also, they're not having Robin and they're not having Liu Kang at all.

Also, he's not that good of an actor. Last role he's had--to my knowledge--is that guy that was running from Jackie Chan and Chris Rock in Ruch Hour 2. Not leading man material in my book.

hmmm, maybe the movie will be based on Deadly Alliance and Liu Kang will have just a cameo appearance when he will be killed by Quan Chi and Shang Tsung at the beginning of the movie.

Ernie is too old and short to play Liu-Kang. Robin Shao did the perfect Liu-Kang.

What I think is that all the motion capture actors should play the people they did in the mk games.

There is only one other man that can play Liu and possibly do a better job.(in my opinion) That person is a Mr. Lou Diamond Phillips. I'm a big Robin Shou fan but Diamond is a way better actor. Just slap some long hair on him.

Donnie Yen as Lui Kang.
Never happen, but that's about as good as you're gonna get. speculatorily speaking.
Ernie could play Kung Lao. As could Jet Li be an even better selection.
How spectacular would that be?
Donnie Yen as Lui Kang
Jet Li as Kung Lao
Imagine the headlines on that.

Its not the fact that Robin isn't returning its the fact that his whole character as 'Liu Kang' in the movies isn't returning. Robin owns the Liu Kang part in the MK movies. It would be awesome to see Jet Li as Kung Lao or Bruce Lee as Liu Kang. That equals the ultimate MK movie.

Yea, Jet Li is perfect to be Kung Lao, because both defy gravity with their fighting style.
Now about Liu Kang... It'd be good having an Asian or Asian-American playing him again, huh? Someone like Jason Lee (or so I remember - that guy who was in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story)...

That I could see for Mokap, played by Carlos Pesina (Who he's based on), but no one else. Could you seriously imagine John Vogel playing Kung Lao? Ed Boon playing Mavado?

if you ask me it should be Herman Li (guitarist from Dragonforce) he looks perfect for the role of Liu Kang he maybe just needs a bit more muscle.

Obviously our Mr. HellrazerHD doesn't really have any clue what he's talking about.

Or maybe some acting ability?
How can you people expect the Mortal Kombat movies to come out with good acting if the requests are always such crap? Lets hope mortalkombat.com stays away from mk5.org, because if they actually take some of these ideas, MKD will be even shittier than it will already be (even though it will probably never even be made).
And just to remind you all once again, it's not about Robin Shou not playing Liu Kang, it's about LIU KANG NOT BEING IN THE MOVIE AT ALL.
