With the dawn of the Final Fantasy movie, I actually considered this for a sec............Nawww man, hell naw.
I don't want an Animated MK movie. After all, that's what we buy, and play the game for.
The movie should definately have live actors, they just need to make the movie better. Fight scenes, script, SPEACIAL EFFECTS!!. OMG I can't stress those enough.
The story is never in question, everything else is though.

Although that would be kinda cool, I mean TMNT the movie coming out in 07 is in CGI, but I don't think that's what MK needs. TMNT is a cartoon so a CGI film is acceptable. But MK is a a video game which someone said above already is computerized, so live action would be their best route.
However I always thought that a CGI tv show would be awesome. I mean they already did live action (MKC) and cartoon (MK:DOTR) so CGI should be next in line if their ever considering it again. Just imagine a tv show like the MKDA promos of Scorpion fighting Quan Chi and MKD promos of Sub-Zero fighting Baraka. Not to mention the opening videos for those games too. I think that would be sweet as hell.

anyone ever watch garfield? they totally ruined him by making the movie computerized, his cartoon specials won grammys, and now, now its just sad...LIVE ACTORS BABY!!!!!!!! its way cooler come on, gives you hope and inspiration too, you know kids out there will be saying to themselves..."if that guy can rip out a guys heart and shove it down the guys throat then so can i!" or..."i can do all those crazy flips and jumps and walking on air stuff too!" Or even, "one day i'm going to hurl a fireball at someone too!" lol oh what the hell am i talking about...i just want the damn movie

No for two reasons:
1) It would suck. Period. Now that the obvious is out of the way...
2) Think of the production budget such a movie would have. For all of the cgi plus special effects that would have to go into making the movie, it would hover over the neighborhood of $85-$95 Million dollars (conservative estimate). And the last time I looked, cgi isn't getting that much cheaper to use in movies. At least not any time soon.
Let be realistic... no movie studio or production company will bankroll a cgi movie with such a price tag given the... outcome of it's predecessor. Say it makes roughly the same amount as Annihilation, the movie will be in the red and be a significant loss to the studio. And before anyone mentions dvd sales, the lack of boxoffice draw won't spark much interest in people going to Blockbuster to buy it. So, you have to figure that the movie would be in the red for at least 2-3 years before dvd sales finally catch up to have nearly break even. Still, it's a loss to the studio.
