Those background characters in shackles in Kahn's Arena are lower poly than the actual playable character models:

The lady in red doesn't have character info like Kintaro. A whole bio and Ending. Having Kintaro DLC is exactly like what capcom did, saying it's "not as bad or better than" is still doing it.

I really wish people could get this through there heads. Few people seem to understand.

Kintaro appears AS AN NPC until you pay to play with him. For all we know he could be a completely broken boss who needs extra time to make playable and balanced. And there are two other characters who aren't already on the disc being released as DLC.

So if Kintaro didn't appear anywhere on the disc you'd be happier? If you didn't see Kintaro anywhere in the game before he's released as DLC that would make it different from what Capcom is doing?

The magazine says "NetherRealm Studios has secret characters coming to the game...postrelease."

This kinda makes me think that maybe some of these DLC (especially those that may already be on the disc) might simply be unlocked in the game somehow, giving you a code to redeem them as DLC (the fact that it says "secret" characters. If they're just available for purchase, they're not really "secret").

DLC redeem codes unlocked within the game...I guess it's possible. Would be the first I've heard of it.

And where unfinished, just like Kintaro. And funny thing you still have to reply about retros. Boon wtwitted about alt costumes being on the krypt, not retros.

Kintaro is not unfinished. Just not playable. He's an unplayable boss character which you can turn playable with a DLC. He is not meant to be playable before!

Does anyone else find it weird (disregarding the paid on game dlc) that kintaro would be one of these characters. The way I always thought of it was kintaro was the bigger badder version of goro, I dunno if there will be a nuttered version of goro thats playable, but kintaro is totally a boss character so this is weird to me.

Id see goro becoming a non boss character before kintaro, unless they went the whole orignal two armed kintaro route (which there clearly not after seeing the scans) speaking of the scans i think all the characters look good. Skarlett looks a hell of alot better in that render (or lady in red or whatever) and I dunno about you guys but I hope kenshi is cannon in this game. I hope they ditched kintaros ponytail (looks like they did)

Also sareena fans, how do you guys feel about this? sounds like this girl will basically play like sareena (throwing knifes) that or it is sareena (which i doubt, but its possible)

Why is everyone saying what's on the disc when there is no disc yet? couldn't some of this stuff be removed before the actual launch? that demo is old right? isn't it likely there are things in the code there that aren't meant for the final release copy?

Given the denial of this being true by Shaun Himmerick on Twitter, I would cautiously accept this information for the time being. Keep in mind about April 1st. Though this is a very convincing story, it wouldn't be the first time a magazine ran an article containing false information about Mortal Kombat.

They were basically finished and just needed voice acting done. Kintaro is a boss who will very likely need to be balanced for release. The leak has shown that the Retros are in the krypt.
