I know we need to take this with a grain of salt, but if this is an april fools joke how would Gamepro get there hands on concept art for these three characters? I doubt Warner Bros. would supply them with that, since its just bad business practice, and theres no way they made those themselves.

Well apparently one of the Admins of TRMK forums claims he has the entire roster Screenshot. Just wish he'd share it with the rest of us.

Tell them delusional kids the truth!!!!!

Would you rather NRS set the release date a month later than it is now to balance out Kintaro and put him in the game, or rather have the game on the current release date to later download a finished Kintaro?

Ok

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
If he wasn't meant to be playable then why was his bio and ending found on the leaked data? Why wasn't he left for development after the game was finished and instead focus on Motaro who was not going to be playable anyways and wouldn't have went through the trouble of balancing?

Anyways, I'm not taking this seriously, because... Kintaro dislikes lolcats? Yeah right.

Why are you asking me this? How should I know?
I doubt NRS would delibrately hold back finished characters from the game just to have some DLC. So I am giving NRS the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not even sure what your argument is. It sounds like you're trying exceptionally hard to justify having to (potentially) pay to play as a character that is already in the game. If anything, Kintaro is worse because he's in plain sight and they would make us pay for him anyway.

Nah, I hate paying to play as things already on the demo. But they way some people on this thread are acting makes me think that Boon killed their parents and crapped in their cereal. Again, I hate paying for shit I already payed for.

BUT a playable Kintaro is something I didn't pay for. What I paid for included Kintaro appearing as an NPC. Yeah it has his data. So what? MKII had Shao Kahn's data and no one felt cheated that they couldn't play as him.

Also, we don't know if NRS has just started or just finished developing Kintaro. We don't know if he's balanced or broken. Until the game comes out and someone hacks the game to find a balanced/broken Kintaro, neither of us can really say whether or not he's ready for the public.

And how is it worse that the character on the disc is in plain sight instead of being locked away?

Wanderer Wrote:
Having to modify damage parameters is probably one of the dumbest excuses you could have come up with for why Kintaro is DLC. The demo build is at least two months, and you're really going to sit here and try to spout that Kintaro may be such an unbalanced mess of a character they can't change his damage output in two or three months? If that were true, I fear for how the rest of the game plays since they can't tweak a boss character in a timely manner. Hell, Capcom did it for Seth before Street Fighter 4's release, and they love fucking consumers up the ass.

Again, we don't know how far along Kintaro is in development. I was just throwing out that maybe Kintaro is an unbalanced mess and that damage isn't the only thing that needs to be changed.

Because I can with ownership rights.

What I am not allowed to do is use self-modified content to infringe upon the services provided by others. (i.e. I cannot use self-enabled Kintaro play online via a third-party such as PSN or XBL because the service is not specifically equipped for that).

Speak for yourself, I played as Shao Kahn all the time. What I pay for is a complete experience as intended (which a single player ladder ending strongly implies), and if I do not get said experience and am required to make it myself to get it then I shall.

Hiding content from consumers is a rather deceptive thing to do, especially if they are virtually complete in the case of MvC3. But hiding content from consumers that many have previous knowledge of and will be able to clearly see is just being a bastard for the sake of being a bastard.

As was said before multiple times, the retro costumes are in the krypt in the leaked data file. They're unlockable in-game.

At best, the pre-order codes unlock them early. At worst, the pre-order codes negate the price of the key that can be bought to unlock them early. Neither option should violate even the holiest of morals around here.

My guesses:

Kintaro would probably be as most are saying: unplayable at first, playable after DLC. He is my favourite Shokan. I'm looking forward to tag teams vs. Liu-Kung Lao vs. Goro-Kintaro (fight of friends, one of the pairs being epic giant) and Kung Lao - Kintaro vs. Liu Kang-Goro (champions vs. best friends).

Kenshi would probably have a more raw TK as he hasn't mastered it yet (think of Hellion from new x-men) plus the sword. I can see another vertical rip fatality like his MKD ending against Hotaru. The blindfold looks long, but Subbys art design also had a long band that was cool and gave him sort of a different appeal and his ingame model lacks it.

Lady in Red: I think she is going to be a mistery agent of someone, and as probably the next game will be about Shinnok, I think that she, as Noob, has been sent by the brotherhood of shadows, or maybe Shinnok personally. As Sareena was dead and just popped out on the GBA version, I think that she is going to be some sort of brainwashed Sareena really, but most of the development will come in the next game, this time just a bio+ending revealing her true identity.

Kira doesn't make sense, not just for the age, but for wtf could her be doing dressed this way (she is a terrorist, not an exotic ninja) in Outworld when she hasn't been recluted yet by the Black Dragon.

Correction, according to the leaked data the retro costumes renders are unlockable not the costumes.

Does anyone else find it weird (disregarding the paid on game dlc) that kintaro would be one of these characters. The way I always thought of it was kintaro was the bigger badder version of goro, I dunno if there will be a nuttered version of goro thats playable, but kintaro is totally a boss character so this is weird to me.

Id see goro becoming a non boss character before kintaro, unless they went the whole orignal two armed kintaro route (which there clearly not after seeing the scans) speaking of the scans i think all the characters look good. Skarlett looks a hell of alot better in that render (or lady in red or whatever) and I dunno about you guys but I hope kenshi is cannon in this game. I hope they ditched kintaros ponytail (looks like they did)

Also sareena fans, how do you guys feel about this? sounds like this girl will basically play like sareena (throwing knifes) that or it is sareena (which i doubt, but its possible)

The bosses are probably overpowered, but the playable versions are toned down so they are balanced characters. Since Goro and Shao Kahn or more important characters, they probably put less time and effort into making Kintaro balanced and decided to make the toned down version DLC.

Wouldn't you feel more betrayed if they announced bird haired Nic Cage as the DLC character? tongue
Kintaro- I'll be happy as long as he plays differently from goro and sheeva.Excited to see how he turns out.

Lady in red- Like the other female "ninjas" she seems like she will have a weapon focus,so it will be interesting to see what else they will give her.

Kenshi- really excited for him,was a fan in the first place. Telekinesis is versatile, and with the new drive for individuality meaning him and ermac wont share too much,it leaves a lot of potential. Really hope they add some cool sword moves.

I will say, however, that I'm interested to see what they do with Kenshi. I think he'll be fun to play as, but given the point in the storyline when this game takes place, he shouldn't have any TK abilities.

He learned telekinesis before MK1.
