Per usual, I'm late to the party. I like Jade's look, so I'm not going to waste my time praising her. I'm curious to see her playstyle and how they'e going to implement her signature moves into this installment. I personally hope that her energy Bo Staff makes a come back; I truly do miss it. For her X-Ray, I think Jade should in corporate her Bo Staff (which is a no brainer). Maybe she could bash her opponents throat and/or spine? I don't know, I'm not in a creative mood at the moment.

As for Goro, is he launching the fireball from his hands or mouth? Can't really tell.

There is a 'Tower of Power' - they mentioned it in an earlier interview. If I remember correctly you can pay to skip fighting certain characters.

The only thing that looks original is her new hairstyle and the gold trimmings. Good to see she was finally let loose here though. Sheeva remains to be pondered.

Regarding the Goro green fireball:

In MK1, Goro's projectile was to shoot a copy of his fist, with a green flame trail, out of his fist. Kintaro was the firebreather and Goro basically stole that move from him when he came back in MK4.

Seeing Goro do his original projectile gives me hope that Kintaro will in fact show up to breathe orange fire once again.

Was thinking the same thing, actually.

Her top reminds me of the UMK3 look.

Not too much setting her apart from Kitana and Mileena but still a good look. At this point you can't expect anything super-duper spectacular from the MK team looks-wise especially for the female characters so just take what you can get...

I'm always late on these things too. Just saw the pics. Jade looks absolutely stunning. She is basically an updated version of her UMK3 look. I like the hair and the gold trim around her mask.

The best part to me is Goro. I know we've known what he looks like for months, but it is awesome to see how big he is compared to Subby. The effect may be slightly enhanced by the angle since Goro is in the foreground, but there's no doubt he's much larger than the normal characters. His character model is amazing compared to Armageddon. Can we just pretend that game never existed?

This isn't an emo exclusive feature, in fact is MUCH older than the emo stuff, a lot of "mysterious and exotic girls" are depicted like that. She is exotic not emo. In fact probably edenians doesn't know what an emo is.

Before somebody takes it wrong: I'm not going against social groups, I'm against directly asociating common and old traits with something that is new like if it just absorbed evrything with this traits. Like when the girl of a friend said "hey look, this is the one who just copied the twilight books" when she saw a CLASSIC and OLD Dracula book. I couldn't believe it.

Short hair would ruin the concept of this girl as a sensual and exotic woman. It would look good in other type of character, but not Jade. Kitana is the classy girl, Mileena is the psycho slut and Jade is the mysterious and beautiful.

I'm happy Jade has been confirmed! I cannot wait to see what she looks like. I'm not a big Goro fan but it'll be good to see him back as well.

Out of all the subboss and monster characters in Mortal Kombat, Goro is the coolest one of them all. He's not just some typical, mindless, beastial monster who only seeks destruction. He's got honour and poise, he's royalty of his race, and he looks unique. Simple, yet interesting. So I am glad that he is back as well. His new outfit is still quite simplistic though not as much as his original looks, but it still reflects on him that he doesn't need a whole lot of armour to be the (former) champion of Mortal Kombat and (former) general of Shao Kahn's army. He's just THAT powerful!

And that he appears to have his green flames back instead of typical red/yellow fire just gives him that extra oomph! It's still fire, an element that many other charactes use, but just that it's green makes it his fire!

Man.. I subscribe to Game Informer... and I got cheated like Crazy... They resent me the January issue with Lara Croft on the cover.... I might have to go up there on Monday and bitch to them about this...
