Well, it is a time-travel story, so in strange sense, it is the 90s. Not saying they have to wear flannel or drink Crystal Pepsi or anything, but little details are fine.

Yes the 4 arms and the fact that Goro already has a statue which can be seen in that same screen(well only one of his hands but there are others in which he is entirely visible)

I think the tournament/Outworld/Invasion portion of the MK chronology is in fact locked to the years 1992-1995, so...it would actually make sense.

People wearing their hats backwards isn't even some sort of outdated 90's thing, it's still very common. I never get why people would be all "It's not the 90's anymore" whenever the subject of Stryker's hat comes up. You're the ones who apparently must have stopped going outside and noticing clothing styles over 10 years ago if you think people ever stopped doing that like it was just a passing fad.

When I said that his cap looks weird, I didn't mean switch it back to being backwards. Its just something about it looks a little messed up. That's all.

I never really liked Stryker, but does he deserve to be in this game? Absolutely. I don't know where all these Stryker fans came from suddenly. The only one I knew of before was MINION.

For those who don't know...

Even though Stryker's costume is an update of his MK3 look, this new look just looks better. Having his cap on backwards is unnecessary, and it kind of comes off as unprofessional. I didn't really care for him back in MK3, but I'm kind of warming up to him. I just want to see what they'll do for his character and story. Move-wise, we'll probably get the moves he had in MK: Armageddon plus the ones he had in MK3-MKT involving his Nightstick.

Stryker looks way more serious than his scrawny, backwards hat look in MK3. Lookin' hot!

Where is Rain?

I was looking at that Stryker picture and something didn't seem right, and then it hit me. There is a lot of stereotyping and racism in it.

We see the only black man in MK beating down the only cop in MK who happens to be a white male. It probably doesn't help that Stryker just said "Police brutality coming up". Is MK trying to show racial tension?

I don't really think they did it on purpose, and it isn't doesn't have to be interpreted as racist so I'm not really whining. But I do think it's an amusing thing to think about.

When you are voiced by Hellboy and Slade/Deathstroke, you command some damn respect.

Plus you know if Stryker is in, Sheeva is pretty much in. And John is a happy panda if Sheeva is in.

I like pretty much all of the MK3 newbies really to be honest. Granted they never really fitted in the series because of their designs, but at the same time I like them because they are a bit odd looking.

MK4 did have the worst collection of newbies though. I mean nothing can beat Jarek and Reiko. And Shinnok. I mean he was a bit shit. Until Armageddon when they just gave him robes and then all of a sudden: awesome. I mean no matter how average Armageddon is, Reiko, Sheeva, Rain, Chameleon, Khameleon, Shinnok and a few others looked really awesome/good in it.

Wow thats reaching. If it was Stryker punching Jax, you could just say its the White Cop beating down the black man. You can find racism in any situation if thats what you're looking for.
