I'm actually glad Stryker's cap is not backwards. I think that look added to the feel that MK3 Stryker was just a filler character playing cop in the wrong sandbox. The forward-facing cap makes him look a lot more serious, professional, and in his game.

I think I know how to help this...

Go find a "friend" that you like to pick on a lot that never really gets the hint at times and ask him to help burry you into the snow of a mountain.

Wait until some strange creature from the year 5526 comes and rescues you. These people are at war with these strange Ligers who happens to know where you can find the very last copy of MK2011... There you will befriend them until you get your hands on the game itself, causing you to betray them completely and teleport back to your friends.

There they are going to try to help you play your new game but unfortunately the technology they have is so advance you cannot play it. So you're searching frantically for it until you see a commercial talking about a phone that you can prank call people in the past. So you're going to try to buy that phone and successfully owning that toy after you disguise yourself as a cleaning person.

You call yourself in the past but your past self doesn't believe you and calls you names. So you try everything you can to get yourself to stop him from freezing himself.

Then some war shit takes place, changes everything, and soon the two factions are at peace and they teleport you back home... Only to be teleported right during the announcement of MK2011.

I agree with both of these gentlemen. I'm one of those guys who didn't care for him in the MK 3 era. But after that screen-shot, and the voice leaks, I'm slightly more interested in his character. I actually want to see a little more on where they go with this.

Stryker looks awesome. As for his hat, it does look a bit weird but maybe the screenshot was taken just as the hat was about to fall off of his head.

I love that idea of being able to turn his hat forwards or backwards!

As for roster surprises, well, obviously I'll be praying for Fujin to make it! That's the GoW I want to have in MK, not that other guy...

I'm pumped for Stryker. My main man from UMK3, but that hat better be on backwards most of the time. He looks too formal with it like it is in the pic. And Quan Chi and Skarlet are confirmed I suppose? It's probably the case.

Here's hoping we see Bo' Rai Cho, Kenshi, Shinnok or some other awesome post UMK3 characters as DLC though.

To those wondering why Stryker's "new" outfit is getting all this love:
realize that while the outfit may not have changed much over what he wore in MK3,
the man inside has.
In MK3, Stryker was an overweight mullet-bearer,
while this Stryker is clearly in *much* better shape.
The better body makes the outfit look less ridiculous... just look at MK2-3 Jax,
or try to imagine Shao Kahn with a bulging pot belly.

Stryker was always fun- now he's just easier on the eyes!
