I'm having trouble finding exactly what I wanna say, but I'll give it a try.

I have been waiting for this game for a very long time. What I mean by that is an MK game that I firmly believe will be the best of all time. As a man in my 30's, I remember vividly when MK1 came out. When MK2 came out, I thought that it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. I was a lil disappointed with MK3 through MK:DC. I firmly believed that Ed and the teams he had assembled, along with Midway were completely incapable of trumping MK2, no matter what they did.

Boy was I wrong.

I would like to thank WB Games for saving this franchise, and giving Ed and his team an ample amount of time to put out the VERY BEST product they can. NRS, from what I have seen, you have done an amazing job with this game. I firmly believe that this WILL be the best entry in my favorite fighting game series to date.

You have made an old fan, and most likely, many old fans very happy.

I still tell my friends about the first time I ever laid eyes on MK in the little pool hall next to my high school. Something tells me that I will be telling a similar story about THIS game for years to come!

That was the version we already saw, the one at sunset. At least that's how I perceived it. It could very well be night, but the stuff in the background lights it up to the point where it seems like dusk. It's still great, just wished for a dark version like the original.

I can not help but wonder if this will be playable online...that would be friggin sweet. Even if not though this was a bigger announcement than Noob was. For some odd reason I get this feeling that Motaro will be in the End Game.

I typically wait to preorder until the day before the game is released, when I'm 100% sure of what all the sales/deals/bonuses will be at every store, and I can make the most logical, informed decision possible. I know alot of stores tell you that if you wait that long to preorder you won't get the game or the preorder bonus... but yeah... they're lying.


Well if we're talking about the special editions here, they actually may sell out sooner. I waited too long to get the special edition of MvC3 from gamestop and they sold out, but I managed to snag it anyway on release day from a different one. The only place I knew of that still had a special edition was Wal-Mart. Of course I'm only speaking of locally. I don't know what the demand may be overseas for something like this but I wouldn't wait if I know I really want it.

I don't know if this has been said before but at the start of the video at the 8 second point it shows 2 rows of Baraka on the Challenge tower, but if you pause it the one above is a black cyborg. Is that Smoke?

Wow...just wow. Here I was, falling asleep before chem lab, and I stumbled upon this. Brightened my entire day.
I LOVE Ermac and Sindel's stances.
The facial expressions on all the fighters are just wonderful.
I cannot wait to play this. I think all my grades are going to plummet come April 19th.

Also, the Pit Bottom opens up an idea that I have about a nostalgic easter egg.

What if, say, while fighting on the pit bottom, bodies fall during the fight and hit the spikes? That'd be cool. For instance, say Noob falls from the sky, you should be able to do a quick button input, hear a confirmation sound, and then the winner fights Noob.

Thoughts?

Good idea. But I have to throw this in there. Instead of Noob, wht not a Green Colour changed Liu Kang? Im pretty sure we wont see Hornbuckle (i was hoping we would). So that would be a Great easter egg. And It would make sense being the pit2 bottom.
IGN only said boobs because they are trying to act like pre pubescent teenagers now on their website. A whole bunch of their article are now written in what seems like a pathetic attempt to act "cool" or "hip" but it comes off as childish and an embarrassment to the entire gaming community. Just look at the title for this article

Anyways back to the challenge tower video... notice at 1:31 when talking about test your luck he says "people were so excited about this that it actually spawned its own separate mode." Im hoping thats subtle confirmation that Vs. Test Your Luck will be in the game separate from the challenge tower mode.

I like this idea better. lol

2 reasons why...

1 is, I don't like when we see canon characters die in non-canon ways in video games. It's just confusing. And disruptive to the overall narrative. I'm not speaking about fun gameplay stuff like fatalities or headless mode, but thing beyond the players control. (Shaolin Monks anyone?)

2 is, has anyone seen that Family Guy episode where Stewie shoots the two barbershop singer guys with the piano (The "play me off Johnny" guys) and after shooting them says, "There. They're dead alright. We're not gonna be seeing them anymore."

I'd like that for Hornbuckle. So people would (hopefully) stop requesting he be made a real character. "He's dead alright. Not gonna be seeing him anymore."

I tought that when they wrote him off as a generic member of the dragon king's priests, that would be enough but no... people still want that green loser...

I don't get it. At all.

This video was great, I hope they didn't completely show us everything there, I'm greedy, I want more

When they start talking about the shooting gallery, what did he mean by saying 6 characters? Did he mean you can use 6 characters to fight the zombies or did he mean you can only pick from 6 characters? Do you think you can only use certain characters for certain challenges?

Thank you NRS, for giving us the Mortal Kombat we've been begging for...and in the same breath....fuck you for making the wait 'till April 19th SO FUCKING UNBEARABLE!

So happy I took that week off.

It isn't test your strength. it sounds more like test your STRIKE.

From what I see Test your might is still the press buttons to fill the meter.

Test your strike appears to be a meter with a moving bar where you have to catch the bar in the designated area. The closer it lands to the sweet spot the more effective the strike will be. At least thats what I take away from it.

He was referring to the zombie things, 2 characters + 4 zombies at once.
