No, the Outworld Tower and the Earthrealm belltower are two stages you just can't fuse.

The difference is night and day (EDIT: literally; one's nighttime, the other is daytime). You can't really substitute one for the other.

I am getting a little worried we won't be seeing The Tower, though. If the Armory made it in over The Tower, I'm going to be a little pissed.

That's the Belltower not the Tower.
Edit: 'Course, I'm late.

I guess you could fuse the two together, but I would think the novelty of both stages would get lost in translation.
I'll be the first to admit that The Tower isn't that important of an Arena. Obviously, if you're writing a story about Mortal Kombat, you can't leave out the courtyard or the Wasteland. However, I could have done without the armory. Who knows, maybe they're both in there. I don't even hate the Armory. I just want my damn Tower.

I think this mode looks very fun overall, and I look forward to wasting lots and lots of time playing it...
However, what scares me is they flat out tell us that challenge 300 is a bitch, and that they fully expect it to be completed by only the most skilled of Mortal Kombat players, and furthermore they flat out tell us that the reward will be great.
As a somewhat average level player, who was never able to complete the tower in Soul Calibur IV (And I tried. I REALLY REALLY tried) but who LOVES to unlock anything and everything... this scares/saddens me.
I hope I'm just psyching myself out.
BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE...
It looks like getting there will be fun. Probably frustrating at times, but overall fun.
PS.
I wanna ask, am I the only person who never realized the bridge and the street were two different stages before today? lol... I look at them now and say, "Oh yeah, I guess they are..." but somehow my brain seemed to have... merged them. I think it's because they both have papers floating in the breeze in the background.
Now as for the NEW stage everyone is arguing about... I think it's mostly based on the bridge, but obviously incorporates elements from the waterfront. Either way, as someone who lives in Chicago, MK3's bridge looks nothing like Chicago bridges (to me at least). This new stage looks EXACTLY like any number of bridges in downtown Chicago. It IS a bridge, and that IS a river passing under it. In real life it'd be the Chicago river, but since this is a game... who knows what they're calling it. (Notice the street signs put it at the corner of Boon and Beran, lol) It's even made of metal grating, like many chicago bridges, instead of a paved road. I love it. I'm looking at places I've stood... in my city... in Mortal Kombat. That is AWESOME for me.
But yeah, it IS a bridge, and that IS water so... you guys are arguing in circles.

Hmm, for me the 300 challenges probley won't be that tough at the begining because if you see 1-7 there all practise modes, and some test your might modes.
So the actual mataches toward the end would be a B****.

Oh yeah I... fully expect the first half to be easy and completely doable... but later challenges... and that last challenge... worry me.
Because I normally don't rest until I've unlocked every last thing in a Mortal Kombat game.
But I never finished Soul Calibur IV's chalenge tower... even though I tried very hard too... I just wasn't up to the challenge. I ain'tz that goodz. :(
I REALLY hope I can finish MK's.

I really couldn't agree more. The Tower is one of the last remaining stages I'm holding out for. It's not a plot necessity but it's a personal favourite and if they leave it out or fuse it or fuck it up, I'll be very disappointed. I want my Tower and I want my Soul Chamber.

Oh, and btw...
Does anyone else think Mileena's teddy bear could possibly, maybe, educated guess, deductive reasoning...
Indicate that Friendships could be coming here?
I mean... they modeled a teddy bear....
Which scenario seems more likely: That the teddy bear was made for friendships and re-used in the challenge tower, or that the teddy bear was modeled JUST for that ONE challenge tower stage?
I'm not saying the latter isn't possible, just saying the former seems... more likely.
