I love how it appears that every stage will in fact have a night and day stage. The sunrise / sunset (evening) Pit 2 stage looks beautiful

I hope they speak more on the day/night feature.

Finally .....
I'm having trouble finding exactly what I wanna say, but I'll give it a try.
I have been waiting for this game for a very long time. What I mean by that is an MK game that I firmly believe will be the best of all time. As a man in my 30's, I remember vividly when MK1 came out. When MK2 came out, I thought that it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. I was a lil disappointed with MK3 through MK:DC. I firmly believed that Ed and the teams he had assembled, along with Midway were completely incapable of trumping MK2, no matter what they did.
Boy was I wrong.
I would like to thank WB Games for saving this franchise, and giving Ed and his team an ample amount of time to put out the VERY BEST product they can. NRS, from what I have seen, you have done an amazing job with this game. I firmly believe that this WILL be the best entry in my favorite fighting game series to date.
You have made an old fan, and most likely, many old fans very happy.
I still tell my friends about the first time I ever laid eyes on MK in the little pool hall next to my high school. Something tells me that I will be telling a similar story about THIS game for years to come!

They have gotten so much of this game so close to the old games that I can feel what you're saying here too. hm...
While watching and pausing this video at different spots, but particularly at the retro part with Sub-Zero and Scorpion, all I could do is shake my head. What I was doing is toggling the tabs on my browser between the youtube video and mortalkombatwarehouse.com, looking at the old sprites vs the new 3D models. It's freaky in a way... uncanny is probably the best word to describe it... causing what I recollect is a sense of surrealism as a result I think.
Some of our younger forum siblings may or may not understand (no offense is meant by that really) just how unfathomable it was to see such a game as MK1 back then. Back in those dark halls of the arcade, where everything else looked like a cartoon, and where every other fighting game didn't really take you beyond punches and kicks. The game didn't just capture you visually, it stunned you artistically, and then gripped you emotionally with the story element, music, and other attributes of the game like realistic looking humans. Who, from what I remember, really seemed to be in trouble during a fight.
You anxiously awaited your chance to control the joystick, and when you finally got it, you frantically fought for your character to survive the match, not just "win". This affect wasn't something that existed in most other games and I think, it was unheard of in a fighting game. So, to see this game exemplify alot of those same qualities really does take you back...
I've been waiting for this game for a very long time too. While I seem to have been a bit younger than cpleck when I first saw and played MK1 (I think I was in jr high, and not high school like him), I remember the experience quite vividly as well.
Sorry about the euphoria speech (lol) but... this game is turning out to be insanely familiar, amazingly new, refreshing, and wildly appreciated all at the same time. Great time (again) to be an MK fan...
Highest kudos to WB and NRS, btw.

Note at the top of the tower. There's a skull with Kahn's helmet garb attached to it, then two clearly non-human skulls that are clearly of the same race
End-Game has 3 opponents from what the screen suggested, Goro and two more. If you make a connection between the two things, it suggests that you fight Kahn, Goro, and another Shokan
So...I'm calling it right now. Kintaro's in, it could be Sheeva but that seems a little anti-climactic.
I haven't been sweating Kintaro's inclusion, but I'm certain he's in now.

I really thought Kintaro would not be included in this game or Motaro for that matter purely because I like the simplicity of one sub-boss. I also don't want Kintaro to be a playable character or any of the other sub bosses like Goro. There should be an increased difficulty when combating a boss or sub-boss. Having more than one male shokan in this game is overkill I believe. Sheeva's cool with me as a playable character but she shouldn't be at the top of the 300 tower with Goro and whoever else he's accompanied by (Kahn most likely). While I think it'd be cool to face Kintaro, Goro and Kahn....I still don't want multiple sub-bosses or either Goro or Kintaro to be playable. I haven't been keeping up with those rumors as much as others here so maybe that's been discussed already. Plus I just don't want a guy like Kintaro taking the spot of a character on the roster who has a stronger story. I guess all this stuff can be remidied by DLC which NRS seems really committed to utilizing this time around.

That looks pretty cool, but I can't help but feel like the top of that tower is missing something significant.

BAM! An extra spice of nostalgia goes a long way. Make it happen NRS!

He's saying the Challenge Tower is single player, that doesn't mean Test Your Luck and the other mini-games such as TYM, TYSi, and TYSt won't be available in versus. He's just saying the 300 missions themselves are single player only.

I hate it. All of it. How can they release something like this knowing that after we will see it we will have to wait another 1.5 months till release? How am I supposed now to survive the wait? That was one brilliant video. CANT FUCKIN WAIT!

Not only that, but if one challenge is too hard, you can buy it with koins.

I said the same thing in the first thread. I wonder if that's where the idea came from.

Looks like my paid sick and vacation hours from work won't be rolling over into next year as I had planned.
They won't seem me until July, or August with the way this game is looking.
