GiNHT, we've seen the pre-order information for the collection appear on separate websites. Its existence is almost beyond debatable.

It just isnt a real product.
As for the stage bio, it was awesome. I look forward to learning more.

I know, Temp. It just seems too good to be true. Especially since WB refuses to acknowledge it.

I hope there is more content like this in the Krypt. I hope this is the kind of thing to look forward to, but...
I'm getting tired of seeing Reptile get worked over by everyone. It even says in the video, Reptile was there to finish them off... so why not actually have him off someone? Come on Boon

No. I don't know what you were looking at but that was no where near any sort of HD resolution.
Also remember if they're re-filming the characters it won't look exactly the same.

Ok so the developers said that this new Pit is the one on Shang's Island when it clearly looks like the Pit II, and that it didn't had spikes so they added some.
So if I'm right, the one without the spikes was the Pit II which is in Outworld and the Pit they're talking about is the first Pit: the one on Shang's Island, in EARTHREALM.
Conclusion: I think the team just screwed up.

That's what I understood as well. Pit II in Outworld is the original, another was made on ST's island that added the spikes + reptile.
It does seem the team has either got carried away with the design and mixing up elements of both, or there is possibly a reason story-wise.
Either way, i'm not worried, so long as it looks good.

I don't understand why people keep saying that footage might be from the HD collection. I mean what are you? Blind? Do you know what high definition is?
And with the way WB has been acting towards the HDC (very secretive) and the way no one in the MK team wants to confirm it and say we are not supposed to talk about it and you should just stay tuned, do you really think we get a few crappy images like that, unanounced, in a video titled "Mortal Kombat - Environment Bio #01 - The Pit"?

It could be, but I'm guessing it's the EX version of his hat throw, requiring 1/3 of the super bar to use.

It would be absolutely brilliant if you could hold down the punch button to keep it spinning in the ground, and release it to make the hat pop up.

Does anyone else get a Darth Vader vibe from the announcer? It's like a Darth Vader/Shao Kahn combo. I'm loving it. I think Im gonna go to McDonald's now...lol Edit: Oh yea and has anyone even thought of the idea that maybe the MKHD Kollection will be released with the Kollector's Edition of the new MK or maybe even a super unlockable after u beat everything in the game??? Just a thought that I can't believe no one has thought of yet...or at least posted yet.

I doubt that would happen. Why would they pack their collectors edition with a game that will have already been out for months? Plus, it would make the Collectors Edition around 100 dollars, which would suck. And there's so many better things they could put in it than a game that was available to us 4 months before.
I'm 100% certain it will not be unlockable in the game, either. That would drastically decrease the sales of the actual HD collection and could possibly even exceed the amount of memory a disc can hold.

I agree with u on all of that but I'm thinking it's not going to end up being released as it's own game. Im thinking that it will only be released with the Kollectors Edition because, seriously, if it was coming out in a month or so like everyone thinks then it would have already been announced. And realistically they wouldn't release it any later than a month or so from now because it would be too close to the release of MK 2011. As far as the memory on the disk goes...remember the old games don't take up much memory at all compared to nowadays and the disks have alot more space now then they used to...especially the blu rays for the PS3.

Well, for what it's worth - a thus far credible source has said that the announcement for the HD Collection is going to be "very soon".
And as far as the space of the titles goes. It's the the programming of the game that will take so much space. High definition sprites take up an extremely large amount of space. Considering there's 3 games worth of them, that is nothing to gawk at, size wise.

Oh I'm loving this! Great job on filling in some of these everlasting blanks.
It gives good weight to part of what Shang Tsungs responsibility, or where his power//enforcer jurisdiction is//was. I mean we all knew the big parts about him (he's a sorcerer, has an island, hosted the mortal kombat contest..ect) but, it's little details about the game and it's characters like this that build up excitement for me 17yrs in.
Razor sharp demon blades? ....o-kay... Shang Tsung was agitated of people surviving the fall, hu? Al-right..lol
Thanks for the fan fodder. Can't wait to see if they do the same sort of thing for character building. Keep it comin'...

Is it just me, or does the narrator seem to refer to Repitle as if it's not his name, but the name of his species? I'm not saying anything, as it's more than likely he's just calling Reptile by name, it's just something that caught my attention.

It's not an Enhanced Special Move. Kung Lao's hat throw is structured like this so far:
Hat Throw: Looks just like his hat throw from MK II. He throws the hat in a horizontal position and it just hits the opponent and bounces off.
Enhanced Hat Throw: Resembles the MK 3 hat throw. He throws the hat in a vertical position and the hat spins into the opponents chest for a small amount of time.
The ground throw is a completely new move and based on this video
http://www.giantbomb.com/pax-2010-mortal-kombat-interview/17-3266/
it is not an enhanced version of his normal hat throw because you can see the Kung Lao player throw it multiple times in a row without using up the Super Meter.
Also for those of you wondering if you can hold in the button and keep the hat spinning (again, based on that video) it looks like yes indeed you can hold the hat on the ground for a certain amount of time.

Good eye. You're definitely right. It's a new move, and it does seem that the player was able to stall the hat in the ground. That definitely increases Kung Lao's kick ass factor.
