Netherrealm Studios Release Nightwolf Gameplay Trailer!

NetherRealm Studios have released the next in their line of official character gameplay montages, this time featuring the Shaman Tribesman, Nightwolf!

Nightwolfs signature moves including his Bow and Arrows and Sprit Knives play a prominent role as he duels with the likes of Sonya, Scorpion and Ermac with his Shoulder Charge, Lightning Strike and features his prowess with his spirit knives incorporating them into some devastating combos. This trailer also showing some of the enhanced variations. His gameplay showreel finishes with his Tomahawk embedding X-Ray.

Nightwolf is one of the most FORGETTABLE characters in the series. He goes unnoticed because hes not very outstanding in the first place which is why hes the least talked about on these forums. Hes just here to be the token indian of the MK franchise and thats it.

MK thought "Well Street Fighter has a goofy looking indian named T. Hawk (his original name was "Geronimo") why don't come up with one ourselves" and here Nightwolf is with us today. A bland stereotype and cliche game character.

MK should have made "Watches You Pee" a character as well.

If they are gonna start killing off characters in the new "time line" why can't one of them be NightWolf. part of me likes him but NONE of me loves him. He was all Shamman ish and we already had enough characters that were spiritual......great game play but sheesh he is EASILY replaced in this game with Ermac.

The thing I don't like about nightwolf are his tomahawks. The fact that they just glow green makes them look like glow in the dark plastic toys, which kind of defeats that feel of, "Oh, I just stabbed this guy in the back and cracked his shoulder blades."

About damn time they did something on Nightwolf.
I'm planning on maining him but I fear that it won't be possible for me. He looks like he doesn't do much. It's just nothing but Tomahawk attacks into a shoulder charge :(

Anyways. I have never really cared about Nightwolf. Something about the stereotypical "India" has never attracted me.
