I think it's too thin to be a gloved hand. I just don't see where the thumb would be if it were a hand. I still see a blonde or white ponytail.

Guys, guys, it's definitely Sonya, end of discussion. This is her look from Shaolin Monks, same hair style as that image:

Now in THAT picture, I have to take back my theory of a raised hand. In that picture it certainly looks like a pony tail, while it seems to me that her left hand is lowered by her left side by her hip.

The theory of the dog tags hanging by her right side torso are even more confirmed in my mind now. In that pic you posted, you can see a shadow between the tags, showing two dogtags hanging down.

I'm pretty convinced it is Sonya now.

Whoever it is...it should NOT be Sindel.....no way i want Sindel with ponytails.....she is a Banshee...not a Barbie...and also older than the other females, so it won't fit a silly-girl look on her....She should be sexy as usual, showing more skin (not all wraped or fat or whatsoever), and Hairs as she always had it....a sexy Queen in fact...actually that's why i didnt like her 2nd costume on MkD.....which if i compare it with that picture, the colours are quite the same, and she had kind of a hair back-styled also, that i hated.....

Every single game the design team seems to up the female chests a couple of cup sizes it seems....Sonya won't be exempt. I don't think they know how to model a female any other way

I'm really curious to know if this is the MK Team playing with the fans (on purpose) by giving us little "easter eggs" or hidden "cryptic messages".

Did anyone else notice how they once again featured both MK2 Baraka and MK1 Sonya fighting already revealed characters? All the other footage from the classic games reveal already shown characters.

Might be nothing considering there were absolutely no hints about Jax and BOOM, he was revealed, but it's cool to think that they'd take the time to do this kind of stuff for the fans. It's fun.

In all seriousness, I still wonder how in the world she can stand up with her back straight in Shaolin Monks and DC Universe...but specially in MKSM. Those have got to be the biggest boobs in MK history (and her MKDA canons are a huge honorable mention).

PS: Yes, the pictures were absolutely necessary. And I still think MKSM has the most exaggerated ones, like, ever. I mean, look at the tiny size of the girl's waist!! How is this even possible?

It's gotta be Sonya. While normally this would be good news from what I'm seeing in that image she looks to be in her sluttiest incarnation yet :(

It really looks like she's just wearing a vest or just black ammo straps and no shirt underneath... I really hope it's just because it's a really crappy image that it looks that way because it would be absolutely ridiculous for an outfit. Really pretty immature character design in my opinion (even moreso than usual from the MK team).

On a side note can the MK team also not come up with unique versus poses anymore?? Both Jax and Mileena have the same exact versus pose and Sonya's isn't exactly the same but it comes close to looking like theirs as well...

Actually, I would love to see the portraits return for the vs screen like MK2 had. If they can't be original with vs screen poses, maybe entire portraits would be better.

If that is Sonya, then I'm pumped. It's too bad we can't make out any details of the look and costume. I can't tell what she's wearing at all, other than a headband.

I was hoping for a mix of her MK4 and MKDC look. Judging from what little can be seen in this pic, I suppose that's still a possibility. It seems they're going for a darker palette for her this time around? MKSM-ish, maybe? I hope she gets that game's belly piercing back

The black hair part is Sonya's black head band from MK:SM and not the hair OR the front curved hair shadow. I think this is Sonya from her MK:SM model. And if you look at the front hair it's blond.

Another clue, is her posture that looks similar to Jax, both are posing with their fist which means Special Forces similarities. Whereas Mileena is posing with an open palm.

I'm pretty sure now it's Sonya.

This is kind of bugging me lol.

Everytime I look at the picture the thing that people are calling a ponytail looks less and less like hair and more and more like part of the outfit.

Keeping in mind that the pose is the same as Mileena and Jax's below it and I think it's safe to say she has some kind of criss-cross design thingy on her her arm/shoulder. Or maybe some kind upper arm guard.
