I would be content with the site only having the 6 characters and slowly realeasing the info on them. every other character. even the ones revealedm should stay under wraps until the game is out. I would hope the actual game covers everyones stories so we only get a taste of these characters then the whole deal when the real game comes out.

Whats up with Dead man Walking Sub? Clearly the older, but how is this story working now?

Anyone else get this picture on the site? It says "Secret info about your favorite warriors is on it's way", followed by "Enter Site" below, but the enter site page just crashes each time I click it.

SUB-ZERO'S HISTORY

Clad in blue, this formidable assassin began his deadly path on a mission from the Lin Kuei to murder Shang Tsung. That's when he was killed by Scorpion only to reappear as Noob Saibot, with his younger brother taking on the identity of Sub-Zero. Now he emerges with untold secrets of the afterlife propelling him fearlessly into the bloodiest battles. Time and again, he assaults the confidence of his enemies with his resurrected strength and sense of deadly purpose. Creating dismembered bodies and broken spirits wherever he goes, he threatens the very notion of peace on earth with his awe-inspiring destructive energy.

Whoa whoa whoa... waaait a second. Noob Saibot is no more? It's a sound little backstory, but I wonder what the logic is? Scorpion changed when he went to hell, right? From Hanzo in-to Scorpion.... So whah?

I'm happy to get this kind of an update because it finally drops some of the story element. I been waiting for something like this. Maybe I missed what all the fuss was about?

ya pred i don't get it either. Maybe we will witness him turn in to noob during the story line? who knows. its too confusing and they cant just get rid of noob because 2 sub-zeros is lame.

and am i the only one who thinks the secret character image is Kang and not shang?... that rhymed

I think it's more of an affirmation of Noob's presence than anything. It's just delves a little deeper into his mindset as a wraith.

SCORPION'S HISTORY

Scorpion was killed—but that didn't last for long. He emerged from the grave to enact his vendetta against Sub-Zero, his nemesis who was responsible for murdering him and his clan. Empowered by righteous fury, the ninja Scorpion inflicts the most excruciating pain possible as he scours the earth to annihilate his enemies. He says menacingly, "Get over here!"before he wields his mighty weapon and pulls them to him. Screaming and pouring blood from their gaping guts, they stare into his merciless face as they suffer an agonizing death.

He stays the same. Under the impression that Sub-Zero killed him and the clan. What about Scorpions family? wonder if they omitted that part purposely?



Now that you mention it.... It might actually be interesting if for Sub-Zero (this is the elder brother), that this is the pre-curser to Noob-Saibot. Y'know, before he actually starts looking like a wrath. Kinda like he is doomed to turn into the Noob we know... if this is so, I hope we get to watch it happen somehow.

1. Elder Sub = Noob alt costume
2. Younger Sub = Grandmaster alt costume.

MILEENA'S HISTORY

Mileena is the mirror opposite of kindly Kitana, even showing fangs when she opens her mouth in contrast to Kitana's pleasant smile. Cloned from Kitana by Shang Tsung, Mileena was created to serve Emperor Shao Kahn. She believes that her birthright is to be the princess of Edenia. Unfortunately for Mileena, her sister Kitana is the legitimate princess. The only answer for the ruthless Mileena is to murder her sister, usurp the throne and rule with the same vicious spite that defines her life. A man-eater, Mileena uses her sexuality as one of her many weapons. She brings men to their knees in more ways than one—and then gives them the kiss of death!

She remains in tact as well. Thing is, they gave her the kiss of death again. Wonder why, when Sonya's the one that move/fatality belongs to originally?

SHAO KAHN'S HISTORY

Known for his viciousness, cruelty and intimate knowledge of the black arts, Shao Kahn strikes fear in anyone he encounters. So mighty is this Emperor of Outworld that he intimidates even the powerful Shan Tsung. Shao Kahn incorporates his incredible strength around a single purpose: to merge all the realms into Outworld. He envisions himself the tyrant ruling all that exists. And to that end, he destroys anything in his path with a lust for killing that takes the breath away from even the fiercest warrior.

Remains the same....also...Hierarchy! Makes Shang Tsung sound like bit of a badass again instead of "just another sorcerer on the roster". Scoots him closer to the top of the bad-guy hierarchy all over again the way it's written. Sweet!

Pretty good update all in all.

Them bios are fucking shit! Sounds like a fanfic.

They all have titles above their bios. All of them are pretty standard but Sub Zero's is 'The Resurrected' and then it has 'Dead Man Walking - something something into Sub Zero's future', beneath the register graphic at the bottom.

Mileena's are 'The Man Eater' and 'Eat Your Heart Out'.
Raiden's are 'The God of Thunder' and 'Immortal Means Forever'
Scorpion's are 'Revenge is' and 'Get Over Here'
Shao Kahn's are 'The Destroyer' and 'Kill Zone'

Nothing mind blowing, but I thought I'd point it out for people who glossed over or didn't notice them.

Yea, I noticed that too... I think it's pretty slick how they're putting these little labels on everyone. It's kind of telling about each character, without having to be. It's definitely fodder, but it's somn' little to think about for a sec...

They are really pushing the overboard gore, aren't they? I can't tell if this is a horror game or a fantasy martial arts game.
The characters are losing their individuality. EVERYONE is becoming obsessed with killing and leaving "blood soaked bodies" or whatever these people are writing with their impressive ninth-grade writing level.

Yeah, they are definitely nice little touches. I'm still not sure how I feel about Sub Zero's story though. When I read The Resurrected and Dead Man Walking, I kinda paused and thought "Hmm... I don't know". His bio is giving me mixed feelings. I'm definitely intrigued though to see how they choose to deal with his story. I know his bio laid out a lot of new info, but it just brought up a whole new batch of questions.

I'm gonna predict that the question mark character is J. Cage. If you look at the Twitter picture of him in the lower right corner, it has the same layout as all the other character pages. It has his render in front of the Dead Pool. I hope it's a new character, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Uh...? How are you getting no more Noob Saibot from this bio? If anything it confirms that he will die, and we will get Noob Saibot. You might want to try rereading it.

Hm, it definitely does look like it could be Lui. I didn't look at it too long, but maybe it's Nightwolf. Hopefully they reveal who it is soon.

The website looks great, I like the characters' themes and stories a lot. Also it's nice that they set for each character a stage/arena of his own.

I expected some music though and the countdowns are based on our computer clock again!
