Right my last post about the music. The song fits in perfectly with the video as he sings about shadows and the video has silhouettes fighting in it, not to mention this is a game about killing people with diffrent fatalities, so the song choice of "Another way to die" is quite clever in my oppinion, so you have to admit that regardless of what you think of the song, band, genre, etc... it works for this trailer.

As for the trailer itself, I reckon they should have shown this before the E3 trailer.

How does that vid prove anything mate? Just proves to me that they are as lame as I thought. Listen to tempusername, he knows wat hes talking about and clearly has some insight into metal.

One last thing, not all metal is what you think it is. For example, I listen to folk metal and I can assure you if you knew more about metal you would see that you just come off as ignorant and biased. I apologize that I said something negative about a band you like, but they simply are not metal.

Hmm... too much Scorpion.

If that trailer is in game then thats impressive detail period.

Song is meh. Cant really judge it from a minute.
The Dragon Logo continues to look cool. The area where Mileena's Shadow is shown looks familiar but I can't remember the name of it.

Lmao at the excuses for "metal" some of you people come up with. Cookie monster vocals, no rythym, no lyrical talent. Spells crap to be honest.

That kind of "metal" is underground for a reason....its sucks.

Disturbed plays great metal on the biggest stages the world has to offer while your death metal bands still play in their parent's basements wishing they got some recognition.

Instead they sing about death and destruction while not showering and painting their toenails black.

By classical standards, Disturbed is as metal as the likes of Metallica, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Pantera.

What the rest of that garbage that's out there compares to is the last shit I took.

Disturbed>>>>Your piss poor excuse for Metal.

I respect your opinion , but I respectfully have to say that you have no idea what your talking about. Underground? What is this, the 80s? I dont even like Death Metal. The type of bands I talk about shit on Disturbed in terms of fanbases, album sales etc

You cant compare Disturbed to those classic METAL bands, dont talk about something you know nothing about.

Again, Disturbed is metalcore, same as Korn. All I am saying is that they are not metal, by fucking definition.

Now go and educate yourself

They absolutely ARE metal. Korn has shat over everything metal ever stood for so do not place them anywhere near eachother because you're wrong.

YOUR bands have fanbases and record sales that top Disturbed's?

LETS SEE IT.

Im going to stay on topic and end this discussion. The point is just that those two bands fall under the same genre, just because you dont think so doesnt change shit.

Lamb of God
Children of Bodom

two examples, and neither of them are Death Metal

Peace

Back on topic, visually this trailer looks absolutely amaizing. Just how I want MK to look aesthetically :)

Both terrible bands

That is strange how they decided to use Scorpion MK vs DC attire instead of the one in game. This must have been put together months ago.

This. This should have been the first trailer. Love the use of shadows, it's way more interesting than the the last several years worth of "Look everybody, fightin'!" Disturbed has never been one of my favorite bands, but this song is pretty catchy. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Good work to all involved.

Also, this is an incredibly minor thing, but I really like the WB Games logo.

I'm laughing how so many people are complaining about the music and how it didn't introduce anything new. So it didn't stand up to your standards. We have how many months until the release of this game? We can all wait guys.

Anyways about the trailer, I feel that this should have been the first trailer. The shadows were awesome and so you could have pointed out "OOH this character is gonna be in the game!" The music, who cares, the trailer was great, I liked the way they used the shadows.

Well put.

Nobody wants to speculate who the guy who feel on the spikes was? lol those spinning spike columns that showed mileena does that hint the posibility of the pit bottom being a stage? shows raiden fighting a bit maybe he's ready now? edit: wait did scorpion just shove sub's head into his chest? lol

Oh goody, everybody's talking about their personal tastes in music. "I like Disturbed", "I hate Disturbed" blah blah fuckin' blah. Who honestly cares?

Kinda missing the big picture, folks. Which is this:

The team can AFFORD a Disturbed song is kind of an important thing. It's symbolic of the fact that WB money means a real, professional presentation for once. As in, we can look forward to even more high quality stuff like, say, voice actors who are actually in the voice acting business instead of the developers themselves getting behind the mic and hamming it up like usual.

There's nothing about that that isn't good news.

This. Even if the music didn't fit (which it didn't) I was glad to hear it.

The trailer was good btw

Why is everybody getting SO upset over a single song playing in a trailer?

It's not like the song will affect the game itself. It won't be looping over and over during a match so why the uproar?

Been watching the trailer a few more times. Started thinking about how using shadows would have been a good opportunity to introduce new characters without actually introducing them. They could have thrown in a shokan, a ninja, or a female fighter without violating the information embargo.

To hell with the music and the shadows, I'm still stuck on no new playable characters at PAX. Being stingy with such a huge roster should be unconstitutional.

People need to stop complaining that they aren't showing us every feature and character of the game. If they did, you'd just be bitching that they revealed everything way too soon. It's better this way.

Great use of light and shadows in the trailer, the music is unbearable. Might as well have just gotten Dan Forden or Vince Pontarelli to do some sludgy guitar thing, maybe save our ears the pain.

I really like the trailer. Like some of you other though I think this should have been the first teaser trailer released back just before E3, and during the media black on the game until the last day of e3. It also should have been just a little bit longer, and nothing but shadows and not being able to see scorpion at all. I think had they done this originally it would have gotten the whole Mk community fired up.

I also don't see a problem with using disturbed. It honestly fits much better than the Adema song did. Whichwas just a cheesy tie into the game. A lot of you despise disturbed just because they're mainstream metal?! There 1 of the best rock/metal bands around today. I've seen them twice live and just so much energy at there concerts. The only other band I can think of that might rival them is maybe Slipknot. People simply dislike them because there mainstream, and they have a cleaner sound to them, and are actually trying to promote messages with their songs. Like the real meaning of this song.
