Adder, you're missing my point. I'm not saying that my perspective is immutable and that Cyber Sub-Zero will suck no matter what happens. I'm saying that reasonable opinions are superior to unreasonable opinions. "U Mad" is not a reason for Cyber Sub's quality. "People are so butthurt" is not a argument in Cyber Sub's favor.

Seriously dude, you're accusing these people of being raised wrong because they don't agree with your opinion. You may think that cyber sub-zero is a bad idea. That is YOUR opinion, not fact. Just because the majority of people may agree with you, does not make it fact. For Christ sake, the game is not out, not one of us has a clue as to how this "twist" should it even be cannon happen. Yet here you are sating as fact, that it's the worst idea ever on the sole grounds that sub zero's current story is fine and has "artistic value". That's just hoarse crap matey. If once the game is out, we all agree that it's the worst idea after seeing it, then we can call it fact. If someone genuinely enjoys it, that is their opinion!

I'm inclined to believe "good ol' Subby" is safe. Permanently mechanizing him is a ridiculous idea story-wise. I'm sure Cyber Sub-Zero is either a what-if, just-there-for-the-hell-of-it character, or a temporary story mode character.

No, he's saying that because of the defense they're using, which basically says "my opinion isn't wrong because it's an opinion." Which, is a completely asinine method of defending one's opinion.

Sub Zero is my second favorite character behind Reptile. He was always my default if Reptile wasn't in the game, or was a t-rex. I think everyone needs to relax and wait until the game comes out. Cyber Sub Zero isn't for everyone, but it could be interesting. Also, I find it hard to believe he could be considered a canon and story changing character who possibly replaces Noob Saibot or the younger Sub Zero, when ALL THREE WILL BE PLAYABLE. Like... If he exists now... and needs one of them to disappear in order to exist.... would they be in it? Just my thought. One of them would already be gone, and we'd have him. Something else happened.

It could have been an act of defiance by the Lin Kuei. Maybe they found the older brother's body... maybe they didn't, maybe they just built this thing to represent a giant mechanized middle finger to the two Sub Zeros who left the Lin Kuei.

I also don't recall when Sub Zero actually finds out Noob is his brother... if it's when we did, it's not until Deception. If people are still unaware of who he is (aside from us, and yes even in his vignette, they would reference that because we all know even if the characters don't). Maybe the Lin Kuei programmed him as a diversion. Maybe it's goal is to find Sub Zero and get him to lower his guard. Pretend that it's his older brother and he still has memories of his former life and needs help... But it's all to distract him while Sektor and Cyrax attempt to flank him or corner him or whatever.

Maybe Scorpion destroyed his body, but perhaps they took DNA from the otherwise useless corpse and made a clone in order to cybernize him. Also a possibility. Clones aren't exactly a new plot twist to MK. Which brings me to Mileena.. Probably not naked... Maybe a very "Jack" like costume from Mass Effect 2 (if you don't know what I'm talking about and haven't played Mass Effect 2 yet... do yourself a favor and do it. I can't think of a better way to spend the time you have waiting for MK than to play this game, it's incredible.)

Hmm good thought. The lin kwui could of taken blood from sub-zero and cloned him, they make the clone a cyborg and lets him target the real sub-zero. nice!

Oh and this thread is getting out of hand. I like the cyber subzero, that dosn't mean everyone does and i am ok with that. Mainly because what i like is what i like. If someone says you shouldn't like him, well thats his opinion and i don't care because i hate people telling me what i should like.

Where did I say that there was no such thing as a bad idea? I do believe that one must actually KNOW the actual idea before calling it crap though (you know, like actually knowing why said character is in?).
