This all seems like a really bad joke. I hope it's just a way to unlock Skarletts alternate or skin. I do wonder where the partial nudity plays a role in the game.

Were you expecting them to tell the exact same story? Yes, SubZ had the best story of all the MK characters, and that story is still there. I'd personally be rather pleased, whatever the validity of these achievements, to see SubZ (and everyone else's for that matter)'s story play out differently this time around. Because I've already PLAYED MK4 - Armageddon and have no intention of paying for the same story twice, thanks.

The "partial nudity" descriptor in ESRB ratings is much milder than you'd think, DOA games often recieve it for instance and all they have are girls in bikinis.

I think people should calm down on both sides about Cyber-Zero. As I said, they wouldn't virtually take away the face of the series and most popular figure (Sub-Zero). There won't be a game made without "that blue ninja" in it realistically, so that leads me to believe that what we're dealing with here is a cyborg version of the original Sub-Zero.

Like (I believe Razor) suggested, Sektor has no soul. You don't really need a soul to be a robot, you only need a body. Hence, Noob Saibot is the original Sub-Zero's soul in wraith form, Cyber Sub-Zero is the mechanized body of the same character and the Sub-Zero we all know and love is still intact. Logically I cannot see them removing what is the most popular character in the game from future games (image wise). It's just not going to happen.

Cyber-Subzero might make some sense if you think about it. He may turn out to be the "true" subzero brought back to life. I highly doubt this list is true.

I am very down with the idea of using noobs body for cyber zero.

The idea of using his father, I thought was cool until i rembred the zero bros arnt lin kuei loyalty they were kidnapped as kids. Odds are there paps was just a farmer or sommthin that had no knowledge of his.

Then again they could kidnap their dad or sommthin, Which has a the potential to make a great sub, noob and paps story. But that would be adding a HUGE element that wasnt in MK1-3 noob wasnt even really even in these origional games ,yes he was secret, and playable but he was a MYSTERIOUS NINJA

IDK, but I see all this "Cyber Sub-Zero" stuff as being non-canon stuff. Alternate history that doesn't reflect the real events that gonna be portraied in the game ....

I know I am in the extreme minority, but I am willing to see the idea out, and just have fun with it. I highly doubt they would replace Sub-Zero as we know him, as he is one of the two main icons and selling points that are used for marketing in every single game, and I don't see a cyborg version working the same charm. It's likely just a "what if" or side character used from older Sub's old body etc. Or it could just be for fun. Either way, I definitely don't see cyborg Sub replacing the sub we all know.

With that said, and I know I am going to pick up A LOT of shit for this...but holy fuck some of you overreact way too damn much to this kind of stuff. I love MK just as much as the next guy. I've been a fan almost my entire life (3 years old was the first memory of playing the original at a neighbors house), and it's hard for me to picture a life before or after MK. I am passionate about the series, and it's my overall favorite franchise. I've purchased nearly all the games. I've played all of them except Special Forces. I've been going to this site for a decade, and have spent a ton of time discussing MK on forums since then. Needless to say, I love me my MK, and it's been a big part of my life.

However...holy shit some of you are such freaks about this stuff. A simple character added to the game, with no details yet, and you're flipping shit and getting extremely worked up. You're raging, and seemingly emotionally and physically effected by this news. I don't care how passionate you are, that's just ludicrous. In the end, it's a fucking video game. If you let a video game effect you that much to the point where you are that upset, you are taking the game way too fucking seriously. It's one thing to be a little annoyed, disappointed, or even shocked etc...but to be legitimately pissed, sad, angry, or whatever extreme emotions you can throw on there...is just crazy. Video games are a hobby, and escape from reality, their whole purpose is to entertain you. Yet some of you treat it as life and death.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to feel connected to the game. Passionate about the game. I am just saying a lot of the reactions are so overblown. You haven't even seen the character, or find out why it's there and what the story is behind it or if there even is one. Yet of course we already have people shitting theirselves and ranting over how shitty it is, when all that was revealed was there would be a Cyborg Sub-Zero in this game. When I first heard about this a little while ago, I thought it was shocking, and extremely interesting. Interesting on how they are going to explain it, what purpose they serve, and if it's just a joke character etc. Yet some of you just hear one little trigger word and act as if someone flipped your whole world upside down, raping your family in the process. Give me a break.

So feel free to quote my ever sentence and pick apart my opinion on all this, telling me why I am wrong etc. Truth is, any sane person would look at these responses and wonder wtf is going on, and think the same thing I thought when reading them. People come off as drama queens who's only interest in life is seeing MK come out the way they want it, and aren't willing to see things out even if they could end up cool.

Finally, I don't see how the Mileena 3rd costume achievement is any confirmation whatsoever of her being nude. Purely assumption.

He could appear first in story mode, then Cyborg Sub Zero would appear after (if Cyborg Sub Zero is canon). From then on, Cyborg Sub Zero would essentially replace human Sub Zero.

Don't know if anyone else mentioned this earlier, but nudity doesn't equate to an AO rating. After all, let's not forget the sex mini game in God of War. Yeah, you don't see the "act", but you do see two topless women waiting for Kratos.

And they've been pushing Mileena's "sensual" side more recently anyway. Perhaps she's topless but with her hair covering her chest, much like her character vignette video.

Basically, it's more the actual sex act that causes an AO rather than the nudity itself.

As for the "partial nudity" descriptor... who here has seen the Sonya VS Reptile video? Her top seems a bit revealing on the one side...

Overall, I'm not being "pro" or "anti" nudity... in my case, I take it as "it is what it is".

Sub-Zero is my favorite character and always will be. Pretty interesting stuff though.

I was thinking that maybe after young Sub-Zero learns that Scorpion kills his brother, he goes after him and gets beaten. He wants to get stronger to beat Scorpion, so maybe he volunteers for the first automation in place of Sektor? I dunno, i don't want that to happen because I don't want to see the younger Sub (my favorite character) become a cyborg.

I think its genius. If handled properly it could lead to a good amount of character development and depth for the younger Sub-Zero, the Lin-Kuei, and even Noob if he should somehow encounter his old reanimated body.

Though another idea I believe is that Cyborg-Zero could just be a "what if" character either unlocked after beating a scenario in the challenge tower or relating to on of the arcade mode endings for Sektor or Cyrax.
