ehh, Please be fake. If cyber sub was actually in the game and relevant to the canon, that would be the ultimate buzz kill for me. I imagine that we'll soon know if this is real or not. I'll try not to worry about it until then.

I wasn't expecting that much, but they would definitely be inclined to retcon the whole automation shit in the next game. The only way I'll accept cyber sub is if it is noobs corpse. That way we don't lose noob or sub. Sub-Zero is one of the mk poster boys. The mk team are playing with fire now. I want this to be fake but I have the strangest feeling its legit. I hope he's just some "what if" bonus character.

Hoping this is fake... Cyber Sub-Zero would be a really lame character. I already hate having a separate set of Smoke's instead of just settling on one form.

IMO, Rain's omission from the game isn't because they *couldn't* do it.
It's because they realized they could extort those of us who wanted Rain and/or a complete MKT roster.
I still firmly believe Rain has been developed alongside the characters we've seen, and may even be on the disc like Shuma-Gorath in MvC3.

Of course, the only real problem here is the possibility of this character being canon. If Cyborg Sub Zero was in fact just a dandy "what-if", it would be fine. But MK isn't really the type of franchise to throw in non-canon stuff. Yeah, they'll retcon things, but it isn't often that something appears in the game and it isn't canon to the story. Given we have Kratos in this game, it might prove that not everything is canon. But just the thought of CyberZero being real and throwing regular Sub out the window is what is really giving people cooties.

It doesn't bother me. I do however find it a bit odd that they'd exclude Rain to put another version of the same character on the Roster though.

The NRS team has PROMISED us that all future DLC characters and costumes are NOT locked on disc. They asked them that already and they said all DLC will be big chunks of downloadable data and not unlock keys. Don't worry about that. They aren't Capcom...

"Better as a cyborg?" What? Sub-Zero is one of the strongest defenders of Earthrealm. If Raiden loses him or fails to recruit him into his forces,Earthrealm is FUCKED.

Also,Sub-Zero has by far and away the best story and character development in the entire fucking franchise. We're not talking about some cute little cosmetic change. We're talking about something that can completely,utterly and irreparably RUIN his whole character.

Funnily enough I notice on these forums that people don't care to much for Sub Zero or Scorpion (Except their fatalities and Alt Costumes) because they are the face of the game, but as soon as soon as you ADD something, NOT CHANGE it, fans go berserk, there's no pleasing you guys.

I've been a sub-zero fan since the first mk back in the 90's, have to admit am not happy bout this either . Hope it's just a what if scenario and not part of the actually story.
