The arena I want to see most is the MK2 Portal.

I also wanted the Rooftop a lot but they kinda messed it up by making the portal a dinky little doorway-type one beside the fighters instead of a giant awesome one in the sky that looks like it's trying to swallow the whole world up.

Least wanted would probably be...I dunno, UMK3 Waterfront? It's pretty much the most boring and non-Mortal Kombat-y stage. But they did originally intend there to be a monster octopus in the river in the concept art, so maybe if they did that, I'd like it.

I want the pit bottom from mkt. You know the one with the dead bodies and Random heads on spikes. When i was younger the dead body on the pilar used to creep me out.

I would like to see the return of the Kombat Tomb or else a similar stage Fatality worked into Goro's Lair a la MK4.

My most requested arena would have to be the Portal from MK2. My least requested would probably be the Pit 3. I've always found it to be the weakest of all pits.

I want to see The Bank the most out of the 2D stages, assuming it retains its uppercut properties for The Rooftop. That poor stage never gets any love. There are a few I'd be interested in seeing from a sixth gen MK game like Beetle Lair, but those levels can be saved for the next game or so.

Going to have second Razor's remark on Waterfront for least interested in. It's just not particularly appealing for some reason.

Oh man... Why did you have to remind me of The Waterfront... such a useless and boring stage. I remember when UMK3 first came out in Arcades I thought it was a stage fatality at first cause it looked like a "Bridge" type stage.

I would like to see what they could do with it if they remade it in MK2011.

Yea i remember when I was little the heads used to creep me out too with that music...I also meant the pit bottom from mk trilogy....it would be kinda cool if there was a brutal move you could do on the bridge to knock the opponent down And miss the spikes so you take a long jump down to finish the battle....kinda like a enhanced mk vs dc stage fall mixed with an opposite version of the mk3 uppercut through the ceiling??? By the way I hate the waterfront as well..and I've always loved the bank

I seriously want to see the Kombat Tomb back. It's a great arena, nice and atmospheric. I remember the first few times I saw it, it was one of those stages that, along with the Wastelands and Living forest, that made me think "Outworld is s a very fucked up place."

Least...well, Waterfront's definitely one. But I don't see too many people requesting the MKII Tower either. It never made that much of a mark on me.

.. I mean c'mon.. It already looks awesome and I'm sure we've gotta go there at least once during MK2011. Plus, this stage would look incredible with the new stuff they're using on the environments. Lightning, clouds, wind, and all that... yes please.

The Waterfront

It was a dull arena, but bring it into 2011 and design it just as awesome as the other arenas and we have a winner. There's so much they could add. Like maybe have a bridge collapsing with cars falling into the water while drenching the two people who are doing battle. Stage fatal could involve an opponent getting knocked into the water and getting crushed by some of the crumbling bridge.

Wind World

I always thought this arena was badass. Would love to see it back along with a remix of the kick ass music.

The Bank

It's been gone way too long. Time for it to come back. I have a strong feeling it will, but they're keeping it quiet for now.

Ying Yang Island

Another awesome arena. I think NRS could knock it out of the park by re-inventing it drastically.

The Kombat Tomb, The Kave, and The Tower are at the top of my list. That being said, I there is no arena that I would rather have left out. Bring them all back.

Actually, I love the Tower. it has the most animated sky, a shadow priest, and that cool window's shape was so memorable it even made it into the movie.

The one weird thing about it is that it's got a blue sky.

Now...maybe there's an explanation, like the usual red and purple colors of the Outworld sky are some sort of magic pollution caused by Kahn's evil and since it's a really tall tower, if you get high enough into the clouds, things clear up...but fuck that noise.

If they brought back the Tower with the sky turned purple, and gave it a stage bio to explain what the building is for (It was renamed "evil monastery" in Shaolin Monks, so maybe it's the HQ of the Shadow Priests, or the place where assassins like Kitana and Mileena are trained to fight?) it would be badass.

I got nearly all the stages I'm hoping for. I would like to see the Palace Gates, Warrior Shrine, Pit, Kombat Tomb, and the Tower, but I'm very happy to know we got more than just a handful of classic stages on disc.

In my opinion, the Kombat Tomb would look fantastic in the new game. I can only begin to imagine the kind of creepy atmosphere NRS would give it. That, and I would love to see those flying dragons from the background in action too.


As far as a stage I wouldn't want to come back, I'm going to agree with the people who said the Waterfront. I always thought that it was a boring looking stage, and there are several others that I prefer to be included before it.

Can't we just have all the stages from MK1-3?

But the clouds have to speed by the way they use to in The Tower! I loved how much movement was in that stage. You really felt like you were abnormally high in the air.

I was never a big fan of the pit 3, but I really want this back! And I loved the waterfront too!

But I think neither one of these will return.

Waterfront > The Desert.

While Shang Tsung's Garden is beautiful I really wanted the Warrior's Shrine from MK1/MK:SM celebrating the original magnificent seven + Goro (well I guess I could also include Reptile and sort of Ermac since in the Klassics the ninjas share one costume and so one statue represents them all in one, although I would like it better if because they look different now, give them each their own statue to honor them).

Instead we get something more reminiscent of Tsung's Warrior Shrine/Garden from the first MK movie. lol.

Still would have preferred an overhauled original with more statues (separating Scorpion and Sub-Zero at least... although Reptile is awesome he wasn't "officially" part of the tournament as a secret character so neither he nor Ermac really need a statue. Just the original mag-7 + the then reigning MK champ: Goro). Possibly with a hidden way to fight Ermac like you did in MK:SM.

And I haven't seen much on Scorpion's Lair... it had better be really really f'n badass this time like it was in UMK3 and not that watered down crap like it was in the 3d games.
