I'm really surprised the other costume wasn't discovered....unless it just wasn't in the build at comic-con...I would've thought after the Sub costume was found people would've gone through all the characters trying to find the other one.

Sub looks great. Nice to see him back. Still think his MKDA primary with Kanji symbols was his best. But that's a different story.

Why are people such assholes? As stated numerous times, DLC is optional. There is no need to bash other people for liking something that you don't. It's just ignorant and rude. :(

I really hope Kuai Liang's face looks Chinese as he should look and not American (mk3 subzero: John Turk).

I thought his family was white and he was abducted as a child, along with his brother. They grew up in the Lin Kuei, but were not born in China. Both Sub-Zeros have blue eyes, but I don't know if that's something to do with them being Cryomancers.

Scorpion is Japanese, so he should definitely look like it if he is unmasked. This was very poorly worded, so I apologize lol.

Bi-Han and Kuai Liang are Half Chinese, Half Caucasian and are part Cryomancer which is a race that originated from Outworld

One of the fundamental problems with people discerning Sub-Zero's ethnic make up comes from the fact that in MK2 he appeared Asian unmasked in his ending, then in MK3 he was depicted as Caucasian. His look for MK4, Deadly Alliance etc carried over his MK3 appearence from a physical features standpoint.

I read Sub-zero's MK1, MK2, and MK3 bio and endings and saw no mention of him being half caucasian and half asian. I just personally assumed he was mixed due to his contrasted appearences, if someone has a source on this, it would be much appreciated as I've always wondered this myself. It's not deafly important, but I think it's cool if he does have a mixed heritage.

Perhaps it was mentioned in the Malibu comics or in a team interview?

Sub-zeros mother is American, and his father is a humaniod race called cryomancers that orginate from outworld.

The MKM:SZ website mentions his race and that he has a sister, but that website is hard to find.

I'm hoping he looks like his MK 3 self with the eye scar included, but if he looks more like his MK2 self I won't complain.

I think I may get back into Sub-zero with this classic skin, I just don't really care for Kuai Liang's primary and the Bi-Han alternate is cool, but the main reason why I started liking Sub-Zero so much was his MK3 portrayal, so even if it's not a 100% true to form look for him, I'll take it.


I wonder why we still have not heard what other classic skin comes with unmasked Sub-zero, it's probably another palette swap, so I don't understand the cloak and dagger surrounding it.

It's probably UMK3 Scorpion, but then again MK2 Mileena and Cyber Smoke are floating around as possibilities too.

Though it's unrealistic I'd prefer MK3 Sonya, maybe we'll get her before they're done doing DLC, I'd pay for a costume pack with her and the rest of the cast that hasn't gotten retros

I too am against the notion of Freddy being in MK. Too many people simply think that the notion of liking him or disliking him comes down to the game play aspect and weather or not he's fun to use and/or play as and I simply feel (as do many long-time MK fans) that it's so much more than that. I've already protested my disapproval for the inclusion of Freddy in this game numerous times on this site and others. Now I feel like I've said all I can say as far as why I think it's a horrible idea, but my opinion aside he's coming out weather i like it or not so I've accepted that. But I've said this before and I'll say it again. Do I like Freddy Kreuger? Yes. Do I think he looks cool in this latest game? Yes. Do I think he will be fun to use and play as? Probably. But again the point I am getting at is that to me, it's about the principles. He has no place in an MK game and as such he shouldn't be included as a DLC character in favor of a stable of other mk fighters. But again that's my opinion. They are trying to combine 2 unlike things that have no correlation simply for the sake of making some extra money. To me that seems irresponsible from a creative standpoint. To many newer followers of the MK franchise, they may not see what the big deal is over the inclusion of these outside guest characters. But to me (and many other long-time MK fans) who have followed this series since it's release in 1992, who have been there at every outing along the way see this as a mockery to the MK name. And I don't want to see MK made a mockery of. To me it's the best fighting game series ever conceived and could kick street fighter's ass any day of the week. I'll take MK's gameplay and fun factor over street fighter's elegant graphics but overall lack luster gameplay any day. But that's a conversation for a different thread lol.

To be honest, Reptile's Alt in MK2011 is close enough to MK:SM Reptile.

Agreed about the Deadly Alliance Scorpion Alt though, sure the Ghost Rider skull was cool but the rest of it was terrible. I put my money on that the other costume is UMK3 Scorpion.
