Drahmin is one of the most, if not THEE most, underrated characters in all of MK. He's much more interesting than a stupid myth character like Skarlet. Not too popular of an opinion I guess, but whatever.

Also, I can't wait to see Havik again. He's just awesome and I'm sure that opinion is popular enough.

Drahmin was a cool design and really interesting backstory, but his gameplay, his moves, they were really, really bad!

And that can easily be fixed! A lot of people dislike the 3D games and their gameplay entirely anyway.

If you didn't think Drahmin's Ball-o-flies was the dopest shit then you can log out.

I rember saying this back when they first showed the demo for MK9, and if I recall correctly someone told me I was "retarded".

Hey it technically is one of the most unique projectiles.

He really wasn't that bad of a character. I just didn't care for how slow he was.

Really, a lot of the Deadly Alliance/Deception characters can be better if they were just worked on a little bit more. Like Kira for instance. Sure, she had nothing original to her, but if they change her up a bit, she would be better than what she was.

Do note, I don't like Deception. Out of the entire series, I never cared for that game. And it's not because of what they did to Sub-Zero. Blah, that ponytail...

If they could revamp him a bit to where he uses something more intimidating like locusts or something, that would be cool. Mix it into a fatality and stuff. That, would be cool.

Quan Chi could finally have his living staff. Never liked how that concept was scrapped.

His backstory art had these insects crawling all over his body. It would be cool if they became something symbiotic with him.

That's funny, I see where you're coming from but personally Deception's my second favorite behind MK2. The arenas were great, the score was great, Konquest was amazing for its time (and made me spent WAY too many hours, more than I'm willing to admit, searching for secrets), the side games were fun (definitely better than Motor...) and the fatalities were great too. Oh and can't forget Onaga, dudes a beast.

But other than that, yes, Deception had some rather odd character development issues (like Subby).

I hope that level of detail that went into Deception goes into the next game, though. Innovative arenas, more amazing fatalities, character potentials, an amazing boss and an even better story mode, something I can slip into and get lost for a while.

I thought Deception was by far the best of the 3D era. I liked Deadly Alliance, but it was really like a prototype for Deception. Deception expanded upon everything it had and made it better. It had a much better atmosphere too. The whole game was just really creepy.

^^^ All of this. Deadly Alliance always had an incomplete feel to it, while Armageddon just felt too rushed and very "everything AND the kitchen sink". Deception had the perfect balance of everything, even if the gameplay still felt a pinch on the sluggish side (at least compared to MK9).

Yep. Armageddon always felt to me like an MK fan's wet dream. While interesting, the Kreate A Kharacter often fell flat for me. It added maybe a week's worth of amusement and then I stopped using it completely, same with Motor Kombat. Konquest, at least compared to Deception's, also fell flat and wasn't as interesting to me as a beat-em-up. The whole aspect I loved about Deception's was the exploring and having to find the different characters and secrets.

What MK9 did that I really appreciated was bringing back the dark atmosphere (though not as much as Deception and MK2) and the hidden stuff. All we need (or all I want) for MK10 is more of that. They're already on the correct course, now they just need to keep raising the bar and stop getting side tracked by goofy mini-game ideas. Where MK4 failed, this game needs to rise up and be the dark game it should be. The Netherealm and a fallen Elder God waging war should (and needs to be) incredibly dark, it is basically Hell after all.

Was the ball of flies really the dealbreaker for people? I liked his other moves. His version of a Shoryuken and that move where he spins his arm really quick. That could work well as an overhead if he keeps that move.

I don't hate Drahmin, but I have yet to find a reason to like him.
I think the problem with the flies was that it's kind of a dumb projectile. They're just flies. But it didn't stop there they were contantly buzzing around annoying you the same way bo rai cho's farting after every movement change.

There isnt even anything special about the flies themselves like..maybe they're flesh-eating? Nope just flies that he throws at you.

In his defense though it could be improved rather easily and his projectile isn't as dumb as Rain's lame water pushback which for some reason takes health away confused

I loved the shit out of the character select music. Deception IMO, is the only good 3D MK. DA was good back in the day but now, eh. Armageddon was just plain lazy.

I go on my Vita and play Unchained every now and then.

If that meant 18 days, then from today, that'd be June 15 which I believe is after E3. I wonder if it could mean something else then.

I'm sure we'll get the next MK game. Boon and co. must be more than aware that fans are much more interested in a new MK game than anything DC related. I just want the gameplay will be more fluid, responsive, and balanced while the game itself has a longer shelf-life.

It could mean June 18, which is exactly three weeks from today.
