if liu returns i think he should remain a zombie...or maybe have the zombie as an alt costume....another idea i was thinking to give him a casual attire like from the first movie. a storm riders kinda look would be cool too.

the butterfly kick idea for a combo or special move sounds kinda cool.

the dragon morph fatalities were my favorite,as for a second fatality i would like to see him do a close up fireball to the opponents chest and it completely explodes the characters blood, guts,an body parts all over...example: it would resemble the move that liu used to send shang to his death in the first movie but with more flare to it.

Liu Kang

The Moves and Pain Effect
-When liu Kang does a Flying kick, it has gotta be like BANG!!!
-Liu Kang is like a chinese fighter, so he has to have like flips every where like over the opps shoulders,

New Move Ideas
Throw Move - a spin-a-roooni trip up and backflip kick
or two punches and a tornado kick for a combo

Fighting Style
- Jeet Kune Do or Junfan

Weapon
- Obviously Nunchaku, but its gotta be like being able to swing it around your body to show off to your opponent, like a taunt

Attires
- the same but for a alt costume, should have more of a summoned warrior, and NO more Zombie, I hate the Zombie Liu Kang

Storyline
- Liu Kang is a Legend and inspires a boy who trains very hard to become the Next Mortal kombat Champion, when the boy fights and is losing, Liu Kang comes as a spirit and inspires him to fight on,

Storyline
I think Liu Kang is one of those characters whose storylines have been underrated and overlooked. While I'm not a fan of him, I realize and understand that despite him once being the main hero and Champion of Mortal Kombat, he's no Gary Stu-ish character. In fact, he's a character who I'm sure has regrets as he has gone through tough times.
I think that it's time for Liu Kang to finally go. His spirit should ascend into the Heavens and rest in peace there.

I agree with both of the things you said here.

Liu Kang may be the champion, but it's almost not even worth it from what he's been through. Due to his status, he has become the primary target of almost all of the top villains. Through out the years, he has lost his "brothers" (shaolin monks), Kitana, and even his life. Not to mention his biggest battle is up ahead of him with Raiden.

It is a good time for Liu Kang to finally be at peace after MKA.

Sonya Blade

Fighting Style
- Tae Kwon Do or Judo
(Both used for training often in the military.)

Weapon
- Double Bowie knives
(I believe many special forces agents carry at least one of these.)

Voice
- The one from MK3, her voice at this time had much more character.

Get-Up Animation
- A push up, the version that crosses the legs so it still looks feminine.

Victory Pose
- A poison kiss to the camera, then we hear chokes and the screen falls to the floor sideways and cracks, which would’ve been the cameraman falling over. I like the interactive ones like Scorpion’s spear in the recent games, it adds a bit of their style of dark humor.

Attire
- Base her after Kerri Hoskins from MK3 again. Not so much the attire, but Sonya herself. In the recent games, her attires were good enough, but Sonya herself looked like a weird plastic.

Storyline
- If she returns, I don’t want to see her with the same played out role of “Team America World Police”. Something disastrous should happen. There are a number of possibilities, such as lose her teammates forever, have Jax turn against her, or she herself gets kicked out of the OIA. As of right now, I view Sonya as a pretty two-dimensional character, seeming to be only wanting to complete her job. If it’s dwelled deeper what her motivation is for doing what she does, then perhaps we’ll see greater meaning to her rivalries.

Moves
- As for moves, she’s had many good moves in the past, the mk team should just find a way to incorporate them into the future generation. There's not really a problem coming up with new ones.

Sonya Blade

Fighting Style
- Tae Kwon Do

The perfect style for her

Weapon
- Kali Sticks

The perfect weapons for her...so damn sexy!!

Voice
- Something with a bit more character, like her MK3 voice.

Get-Up Animation
- Slow Handstand. Sonya pulls herself up into a handstand, then slowly bends her feet down and forward until she has regained her stance. Think Tomb Raider style handstand.

Victory Pose
- Either a Salute (nostalgic) or blow a kiss to the screen. The poison kiss idea sounds pretty cool but I'd probably get sick of it after a while. Just a normal kiss blown into the camera would suffice for me.

Attire
- Use more red in her outfits. Long blonde ponytail with black cap. Big military boots. Sexy thong. Basically anything thats somewhere as cool as her last four outfits (MK4,MKDA-MKA, MKSM)

Storyline
- Darker, harder, tougher, moodier Sonya with little ties to fellow heroes. No longer in anyones shadow, no longer taking orders but still an unyielding desire to protect Earthrealm.

Moves
- The following absenses in MKA were not acceptable:

Leg Grab
Bicycle Kick
Ring Toss

These three moves should definitley be back. Along with the kiss, SWP, flying kick. Armed Forces is not really needed, the ring toss is cooler. A good throw as well, like a frankensteiner.

Sonya Blade

Fighting Styles

I think Sonya should be one of many characters with two unarmed styles though it wouldn't bother me if she had the Kali Sticks. For her two unarmed styles, I'd like to see her use Tae Kwon Do and American Kenpo. Tae Kwon Do will be her speedy, long-ranged, kicking-specialized style with decent strikes but weak in throws and grapples. American Kenpo will be her more well-rounded style.

I'd like to see her with different fighting stances for Tae Kwon Do and American Kenpo. I'm not sure about the stance for American Kenpo, but I'd like to see her with this as her Tae Kwon Do fighting stance.

Throws

I think the throw Kung Lao had in MKA should've been given to Sonya. It seems kind of TKD-ish to me. Her other throw could be something like Baek Doo San's Swordfish throw, which is kind of like something out of Judo.

Special Moves

Energy Rings: This is basically her projectile from the 2D MK games. It's a fast, linear, high-hitting projectile that should be somewhat slower than most other high, linear projectiles in that it should make the opponent stumble a bit.

Kiss of Death: This is her stun move from MKDA. I like it, and I think she should keep it.

Square Wave Kick: This move is basically like Kai's Flying Punch move from MK4/MKG, except that she does a Side Thrust Kick instead. It's of course meant to be a long-ranged, anti-air special.

Leg Grab: This is her well-known special from MK1-MKG. I think it'd be cool if she could do different moves from the grab itself, not just slamming them on the ground. I don't really have any ideas for the other moves, but I think there could be 2-4 different moves from the grab.

Front Flip Kick: This is her knockdown move from MK4/MKG. It should be a mid-hitting knockdown attack that covers some distance.

Overall Gameplay

Overall, I see Sonya being a speed-based fighter who plays more on the aggressive side.

Storyline

To be honest, I never really cared much for Sonya's storyline. I think it would've been interesting to see exactly how bad Sonya was when under Onaga's control and also to learn how those experiences have affected her. During Armageddon, I think she should be the one to slay Kano and make sure he stays dead.

I don't really want her to return in the future MK games as I don't find her story interesting enough. I think the main problem lies within her lack of character development, something Johnny Cage and Jax have had problems with for a very long time until recently.

I want Sonya to live and retire. She's had her run, and I think she's overdue for retirement. And no, I don't want her and Johnny Cage to get together, much to dismay of some.

Appearance

I think in general, Sonya is a very good-looking character, and that is one thing I do like. However, that's of course not enough for me to like her as a character.

Anyway, I like her MKDA/MKA primary and MK4/MKG attires the best.

Fatalities

I don't have any ideas.

Voice

Her MKA voice is fine, I guess. *shrugs*

Get-Up Animation

I'm not exactly sure. It should be something either gymnastic-like or something TKD-ish.

Victory Pose

I think her blowing a kiss like in her Kiss of Death would be just fine by me, and it'd be something different from her other victory poses.

Fighting Style
Tae Kwon Do and/or Kenpo

Attire
Something like The Old Mortal Kombats. She is too thick now(or her clothes make it seem so).If not I would like Something like Mortal Kombat 1 The Movie. Have The Clothes Bridgette Wilson. So it would be kinda like MK4's outfit.

Throw
Do something like, Get the Opponent into a Arm Submission real quick. Or Knee Them in the Gut and then Bang Their Head into the ground and taunt the opponent.Or Throw the opponent on the ground and Do a poison Kiss attack.

Weapon(s)
Maybe something like The Kali Sticks. Or A knife.

Voice
MK3 Voice

Victory Pose
Do a salute like The Old MK's

Moves
Get rid of her blast. GIVE THAT BADASS A GUN! She can shoot like Jax does, and also do the kiss. Actually Re-vamp her blast into something different.

That is all for now...

Raiden

New Move Ideas
Fully Charged
- Raiden grabs and holds the opponent next to his lightning staff, as a lightning bolt comes crashing down sending the opponent flying. This is what I had in mind, on the 35 second mark.

Shocking Experience
- Becoming pure lightning, in the form of a lightning bolt Raiden forcefully goes through his opponent’s chest causing them to smoke temporarily. A glowing burn mark or singe should also remain a short while after.

Dark Energy
- Raiden teleports off screen, as the sky darkens and loud thunder is heard, a barrage of red lightning is being wailed at the opponent.

Blood Effect
- Raiden shouldn’t bleed, showing his status as the god of thunder and protector of Earthrealm. An interesting effect that could be used is every time Raiden is struck, small amounts of electricity come out of his face also causing a buzzing sound to be heard.

Fighting Style
Nan Chuan
- (Due to his status, Raiden could practically own any style, but Nan Chuan is one of the many that fits his origins.)

Weapon
- Lightning Staff, with red electricity spiraling around the pole.

Throw
- I like his throw from the recent games, an upgraded version would do fine.

Voice
- Of all the Raiden voices, I liked Christopher Lambert’s (The Highlander) the best. The raspy sound of his voice and his dry humor was an excellent touch for the thunder god, imagine if this was implemented into the game.

Get-Up Animation
- Once again, great how it is. But I’d like to see a more serious approach with it. Instead of him kicking the air like he’s thinking “bring it on”, I’d like to see something like his eyes crackle with electricity like in the first mortal kombat movie.

Victory Pose
- Deception’s/Armageddon’s was great.

Attires
- The dark Raiden attire is awesome. 100% pissed off thunder god. I’d like to see him stay this way.

Storyline
- Something is definitely going to happen to Raiden in a short while, and nothing is going to be the same. Whether it’s confronting Fujin, Liu Kang or Shinnok, something big is about to happen.

Raiden

Fighting Styles

Raijinken: Raijinken is my made up style idea. I picture him using his MK1-MKT fighting stance while his techniques are largely derived from various traditional styles of Japanese Jujutsu such as Tenjin Shinyo Ryu, Hontai Yoshin Ryu, Yagyu Shingan Ryu, etc. He'll be more about striking, grappling, and throwing than kicking. Btw, Raijinken is Japanese for "Thunder God Fist".

Lightning Staff: The Lightning Staff is his trademark weapon. One thing that annoyed me about MKD (and also MKA) is how they listed Jade's weapon style as Bojutsu when it's really Raiden who is using Bojutsu due to his stance and moves. One thing that also annoys me is that they need to make sure Raiden's feet are in an L-shape as that is a Japanese-type stance. I'm talking about the lead foot pointing directly towards the opponent while the rear foot is perpendicular to the lead foot. Anyway, the techniques of the Lightning Staff should be derived from one of the Jujutsu styles that teaches Bojutsu, such as Yagyu Shingan Ryu.

Throws

He could simply have his throw from MKDA-MKA as one of his throws while his other throw could be his throw special. Or, one of the throws can be his MKDA-MKA throw while the other throw can be a throw from one of the Jujutsu styles.

Special Moves

Lightning Blast: His classic projectile....not much to say here...I think he should have the old animation from MK1-MKT. It should be a fast, linear, high-hitting projectile.

Reverse Lightning Blast: This is his projectile from MKT. I thought it was kinda cool, and I'd like to see it return.

Torpedo: This is his classic move from MK1 and up. In MKD and MKA, it was a useless piece of shit. It should be a pretty fast, mid-hitting, distance creating move that can be done in the air like in the old MKs. I think the startup should be a bit slower than before, but on the flipside, the safeness should be a bit higher as it was a pretty unsafe move in MKD and MKA.

Static Teleport: His teleport needs to have a faster recovery.

Ethereal Bomb: This is a move that's kind of taken from the MKD intro. The Ethereal Bomb is a charge-type special that can deal massive damage. Yes, it can do 100% damage. The drawback of this move, aside from the time to charge (which has to be done by constant rapid tapping), is that it damages Raiden as well. The damage done to Raiden is half of what is done to the opponent. One good thing about this move is that it's unblockable. The more you charge, the bigger the explosion.

Overall Gameplay

Overall, Raiden is more of an advanced fighter, but probably not to the level of advancement like with someone such as Sub-Zero or Bo' Rai Cho. He's a pretty linear character who plays a bit more towards the offensive side. One downfall will be that he won't be quite as fluid as most other characters, but his power will be pretty good. Speed-wise, he'll be pretty decent.

Storyline

Raiden's storyline has definitely improved since MKD. I like the dark path he's taking, and I hope we'll get insight into how exactly he became that way. I see lots of potential for Raiden in the future games, and I think he should be built up to become one of the major villains. He should be different from the other villains in that he is fighting for what he believes is right. His presence in regards to other characters should be very shifty and elusive.

Appearance

Both his costumes in MKD and MKA are fine.

Voice

His MKD Konquest/ending voice, not the in-game voice

Get-Up Animation

His get-up animation should be a lot like his MKD/MKA one, except that when he slams his fist on the ground, there should be electricity surrounding the fist with a clashing sound. And instead of kicking, he should look up while getting up, with electricity in his eyes, kind of like what Drifting_Ravage said. Then, he of course gets back into his fighting stance.

Victory Pose

His victory pose from MKD/MKA plus sparkling in the eyes at the end

Okaaay....Guess I could put my two cents in for this one...*takes a deep breath*

Don't know enough about martial arts or their origins so not going to try to think up some new fighting style for Raiden. I did enjoy the Jujutsu style from MK:DA and seem to fit him to an extent, but seem a bit on the slow side for someone with the speed of lighting. Then again could have been the game itself.

His weapon I would like to see changed back to the war hammer, if he stays the 'Dark' Raiden but if he goes back to being a nice guy bring keep the staff. The staff is a more peaceful item which can be used for other things than just fighting and does not shows as much hostile intent. The hammer on the other hand is a little more war-like in appearence and threat.

To be honest, Raiden doesn't really need too many new special moves. Just some fine tuning to the ones he already has. When he teleports, make it look likes he is turning into lighing (not just a few sparks but a real full size lighting bolt) and hits the ground again as a lighting bolt. Make this more more agressive as well. If done right, have him be able to hit the opponent as he 'lands.'

His lighting blasts need to be larger. Those small sparks are almost laughable. Also, enable him to be able to summon lighting from the sky to strike the enemy. Rain and Nightwolf can do this, why not the thundergod himself? The grab and shock moves are almost perfect, but more varity on how he can grab and/hold would be nice.

Electric base fatalities are difficult to make original. The shake and explode it getting old. Give him some weapon based fatalities instead. The hammer based one should be relatively easy to do and bloody enough for anyone to enjoy. If staff then follow Vlad the Impalers example and impale the oponent and leave them up in the air.

Victory stances for Raiden lately have been the worst. He looks like an action figure that someone squeezed too hard. He should be more serious type in game, and not a break dancer. Perhaps just a simple crossing his arms and turning away as if the opponent just wasn't worth the blood stains on the ground or something then walking off or vanishing in a flash of lighting.

Now I don't like the 'Dark' Raiden's look or story so far, but I can see what Midway seems to be trying to do. I am happy that Raiden is finally getting pissed off due his favorite realm always being threatened and no one else seems to be doing much else about it, but this insane Raiden is going too far. He is becoming nothing more than another Shao Kahn. It could be the whole balance thing since we do have a demon (Ashra) trying and succeeding in becoming good so another 'immortal' would have to become evil. I would like Raiden to start looking a little like those loading screen versions of him from MK:D. The one where he is in his classic colors (blue/white) but with a newer outfit. OR Go stormcloud colors of grey, black and dark blue. Whichever choice lose the hat. There is no way anyone could fight wearing something like that. Maybe do the alt outfits from any of the newer games (MK:DA, MK:D, MK:A) but in shades of black, grey, dark blue and or silver. Have him angry but not insanely so. Unless they plan to do away with the MK:A bio I don't think this is happening, but it would be the first time Midway completely changed the MK storyline in regards to certain characters.

Considering how staves have been used as weapons for a very long time throughout many countries, I can't say I agree with you. If he had the War Hammer from MK4, I'd be afraid that it'd end up like Shao Kahn's Wrath Hammer, which is total garbage.

Well, it's not exactly like he's becoming another Shao Kahn. He simply has a type of ruthlessness not unlike that of Shao Kahn's.

Actually, they could. This is from Yagyu Shingan Ryu, one of the Koryu (classical traditions) of Japanese martial arts.

Holy crap! I missed a couple characters...hm..
Well I had to notice my Fav Character..

Raiden

New Look
JAX007 Concepts
About a new Look for Raiden. I'd like to see what he looked like a few hundred years ago. Maybe an even more retro-combatic look is in order?..? Futhermore, what would he look like wearing more current attire? Raiden has only had like three significant changes this series...So I think the right hand example JAX007 gives - either modernizes him and or dates his current look effectlively.

Along with all that, the hat? I don't think he could be right without the hat...He would have to at least have it as an alt costume...If they were to take his hat away from him, they'd have to faze it out somehow..Make it is third alt or something.. And even so, his new primary would have to be so fuckin perfect anyway... So keep the hat Midway. The updates to the hat are quite good anyway I think.
=====ALT Costume---sorta:
Making Raiden look more "Godly" to our current generation of players is the toughy. Especially with all the people who don't believe in any God, religion wise now-days. "Mysticlly old" is a way I propose, almost as though he's out of place somewhat amongst the other players. Robes, Tunics, Rags, or even more "Animal" influenced clothing could be explained to us as sacrifices over the years to him. Kinda giving us a subtle insight as to sacrifices like: That's one of the things Gods do with the animals. He might even sport something that has an electic eel enscribed or stiched with-in a peice of his clothing or armor.

Now, don't get me wrong here, I still think Raiden should look very majestic and mystical, but the clothes he wears could have more purpose is all I'm sayin'.. I think alot of the reason some people don't like his Dark Raiden look is becuase of the fact that he "looks" more militant// too much like somthing an actual man might wear. He's a God, but he doesn't nessassarily look "Spiritual". He has on Armor....which is o.k., but I just think his clothing could be less human-typical. The whole Chess plate, shoulder pads ect...can go. There are other ways, he could look more aggressive than his normal state.

Ex:
1. Dark circles around his eyes,
2. black or burned fingertips: symbolizing the hostillity of the element he rules over..
3. The red lightning could be a nice "touch" for that--it should even circle around his body like the lightning did back in Mk1/2.
4. They could also make him obviously more pale. Just trying to provok a more pissed off God..Y'know?

6. A cool little effect I was just thinking about kinda resembles that of Ares in The God Of War. Speaking about his hair...Instead of a full head of firey hair like Ares had, Raidens hair could show in his alt costume, and slowly singe or burn-- of the red lightning during battle. BUT, since he is a god, it would "heal" (so to speak) itself as it singes, giving that cool white hair//red lightning contrast and making apearent that "I'm pissed off" vibe even while he stands still. Not the "Bun-and-Mullet" like his alt kinda makes him look. I hated the beads and the half robe, the whole thing only pissed me off...lol

7. One thing to toy with is maybe face paint or a tattoo of some sort. Maybe as he becomes more and more ruthless, or does more ungod-like things, a symbol of his taint can become more apparent. Some kind of ancient insigna relavant to the birth or death of a true God. Just a thought..

Move Ideas(new and or improved)

1. Lightning Shield- From the MkDa Opening vid- It should look virtually similar, and have the same effect. I think part of the rave about any character, is being able to use the things you see they are cabable of in animation or in film. It was a fantastic idea and we should be able to have fun using it..

2a. Lighting Blast- I feel like Raidens' lightning had the best overall effect between Mk1&2. It should return to that, just updated using the latest technology and 3D platforms.

Or

2b. He could throw the bolt differently. One way could be quick, kind of like Jaxs' wave blast back in Mk2. Instead, a bolt of lightning from the sky quickly blasts the opponent. A Pop-up or a simple shock to the opponent.

Or

2c. As I know I've expressed before, give Raiden that pop-up that either Rain or Nightwolf had...It used to erk me eveytime I saw that from them and not Raiden.

3. Teleport- I always wondered why Raidens teleport couldn't have an attack tied to it. Why not have his teleport shock the opponent breifly? The catch would be...well catching your opponent standing still. Otherwise it would simply perform as a teleport.

4. Body Shock- Simply put, it should remain his throw. An improvement on it could be a one handed shocker-and-throw that embodies his Mk1 and MkD throws.

Fatalities

Shocking Experience
Drifting_Ravage Wrote:- Becoming pure lightning, in the form of a lightning bolt Raiden forcefully goes through his opponent’s chest causing them to smoke temporarily. A glowing burn mark or singe should also remain a short while after.

Dark Energy

I really like these ideas D_R...alot.
=====

1. "Shocking"- I like what they did with this fatality in the last 2 games. I think the only way to make them better or change them significantly would be to make them more realistic. More..."actual"-looking

2. "The Rath of God"- In this new fatality, Raiden performs a type of mini kata cinema summoning lighting through a kind of full armed -- circular manuver around himself. These look alot like what I mean...just different1:20 and 1:28 into the vid 1:06 into this vid

3. Puppet Master- Could show us the fatality Raiden performed on Shujinko in his MkDa ending. To where Raiden uses bolts of lighning to violently raise his opponent into the air...not to high, maybe 10-20ft from the ground..
In this cinema, you'll focus on what's happening to the "looser". Lots of crackling and popping...small peices of burned blood and flesh escape the body..ect.. Away from the focal point, but still clearly viewable, you see Raiden doing his thing to not only kill the opponent, but also keep the body suspended in the air...."Puppet Master".. This could be one of the only fatalities that explodes the opponent to end it, OR, he could slam the corpse into peices when he's done.== The ending angle not nessasarily on Raiden in his vicory pose, but from the ground towards Raiden, looking at the skeletal skull. Maybe even still bleeding from the eye(s)--other skeleton peices skattered about the immediate floor.

Drifting_Ravage Wrote:Blood Effect
- Raiden shouldn’t bleed, showing his status as the god of thunder and protector of Earthrealm. An interesting effect that could be used is every time Raiden is struck, small amounts of electricity come out of his face also causing a buzzing sound to be heard.

Agreed...
=====

Fighting Style
Nan Chuan
- I don't know martial arts styles well enough to sufficiently change this about him. But I didn't like alot about the style itself to tell the truth. It looked o.k. I guess, but I think Raiden should absolutely reek of "Mastery". Maybe his in-game fighting stance would teeder between a Nan Chuan type stance(Mk1-T essentially), to standing "Straight up" as to hint that "I've Mastered all...circles and straights"....The effect the two stances provok. Pai Mei:50sec is an example of the Straight up stance.

Raidens' style should be "sensibly odd", having a base, but not so definate in any one style. You should be able to tell "he made it up"....His stances should really only signify where/how he's comfortable standing to tell the truth.

I also don't think the stances should be so "stiff" or "strickened to" if that makes sense. I mean, at the beginning of a round there should be a "Ready Stance", but while you're playing and in motion, the stance(s) you recoup to should depend on the last hit delt or taken.... teedering between a "confident" stance, and a stance that sorts says "anticipate".

Weapon

I am one who, when weapons were introduced to Mk, didn't like Raidens at--all. I figured that, being the God of an element as destructive as Thunder and Lightning....wtf do you need any "weapon" for? Anyway, if he must have any weapon, it could be one of the following:

1. Staff of the Gods- It should be a particular staff, designed specificlly for Raiden. Maybe even an ensignia or special design on the staff...Not just a regular old, plain jane, wooden staff. Not "stylish", maybe just a staff forged of the steel of the Elder Gods' temple or something, a present to Raiden "long ago"....

More Staffs and such:

a. 3-sectional-staff
b. Wushu Double Headed Spear or something...It would make sense.

c. Wushu Red Tasseled Waxwood Spear". Same influence as #1 on the weapon..

Here's a couple short vids to show how I think he could look using some of the weapons I listed:
1. Staff vs Spear...
2. Three sectional Staff vs Nunchucku

Drifting_Ravage Wrote:Voice
1. Of all the Raiden voices, I liked Christopher Lambert’s (The Highlander) the best. The raspy sound of his voice and his dry humor was an excellent touch for the thunder god, imagine if this was implemented into the game.

Though I don't completly agree with Christopher Lambert, I do believe that he was the "best" voice technically. So something relative to his voice in future voice-overs is only reasonable. Raiden needs to sound like Chris in anything future...It just works.

Get-Up Animation
1. I did like the improvement that they made on this part of Raiden actually... The thing is...It was too much, and it was too "rapid". Instead, he could "manifest" up. Maybe it could hint to his victory pose but just so that it's not so dramatic in the future.

Victory Pose
1. His victory pose should resemble the #2 fatality I mentioned earlier. Just not punishing anybody. Maybe from the front angle and probably ending in the same fasion as he would have in all previous games... One, or both hands up to the sky, as though to be paying homage to a "higher" God than he. While the lightning struggles to remain in his control...we hear a very violent buzzing sound. In the end, one big *boom*. Somewhat symbolizing Thunder & Lighning....Perfect.

2. Why not this: 9sec Test

3. To add more to number 2 here: That 9 sec test but shorter, sharper, and with a more profound feeling to it. Probably 3sec long, it should have the violent crackle of thunder and lightning whenever he points his fingers and lightning is let shot out. But in the end...none other than his pose on the side of the Mk2 Arcade Machine and then he disapates in some cool lightning effect... Probably influenced by his early teleport effects(see sprite above), but I know there's better ways to show what I mean.."1(points and we hear crackle and thunder) - 2 (again, in a differnt direction) - 3 (again, but this ends the small kata and he dissapears from the screen) 1--2--3". There's enough time there and it's not too long.

4. Another victory "pose" could be that he does a little aggressive swirl of the hands/arms with a little step forwad, throw a little lightning to the ground, and then "jump" as if he's assending to heaven off screen.

Arena: "The House Of Raiden"
Comic Illustration 1

Comic Illustration 2

It could even feature the two "would-be abandoned servants of Raiden:
Wynd & Rayne. Maybe dipicted and named uniquely considering those elements are taken in Mk already. I have ideas for these two characters, just haven't gotten around to typing them out yet.

Storyline
1. Raiden should have more of(not nessasarily all of) his "Long Ago" instances exposed, exploited, and taken care of over the course of this next game or so. Along with his Probable confrontations with Fujin//The Elder Gods//Liu Kang(which might even make him evil for sure mind you, considering what he did to animate Liu...)//Shinnok//What affect he may have had on the Deadly Alliance(Shang Tsung and Quan Chi [are they dead because of the sacrifice? ect..] and vice versa.... "How they may have effected Raiden to make him act out of character for these last couple games")

And I feel, he should return to the side of good....at least eventually. Because the more experience one has about things of this nature happening to others in the future...the better a God//person you are further down the line. I think that's very important in anybodies stories actually. "Comprehension"//"What did you learn"; and having no problem sharing that information with the less experienced....future "champs and so on...So that we can see at least one of the cycles Raiden has endured to be respected as a God. I think it would cut out the rest of the disconcern for this character as well because his purpose becomes relatably evident as far as the kind of "work" he does to maintain that god status....
"This is what I go through...This is why I'm am a God...

More of what could happen with his story is that he could coincedentally become fond of the "Earths' New Champion". He could even "guide" the new character because that's just his nature...even in his discruntled state right now. It would be irony, but within the "realm" of his job description....~nice~

Fighting Style

Nan Chaun,This syle is so great to use. In MKD after his frw+1,You would be able to teleport and get a freethrow off of it. Sadly in MKA cause of wakeups,You cannot. Its a great style for him nonetheless. Its fast and has nasty mixups.

Weapon

He would have to keep his Original Lightning Staff. It has nice mixups and very good low hits. I would wish for it to have more mids though and be a little safer. His b+2 is nice,But it should be to wear to wear you have to block low twice,Instead of low high. His d+1 is a very nice move that he should still have. I hope he gets his up+4 back as well. I loved that move.

Throw

Raidens throw should be completely changed. I believe it should be a pop up,and able to do atlest 15% to 20% damage. I believe it should also be an unbreakable throw. Raiden is a good character, but he definitely needs this kind of throw. His throw now in MKA doesnt have really any priority its weak, and id rather not use it.

Voice

I think his voice is good. As long as it sounds very wise and has more of a deeper presentable voice. I mean Raidens voice plays a big role. He has to sound intelligent,Who would listen to a unitntelligent person? lol no one. Therefore his voice is fine.

Get-Up Animation

His Getup Animation in MKD was awesome. The way he did sort of a Kata type fighting style. That would be awesome if he got that back. I would also like to see something like with his teleport move he has but as a getup, kinda like he teleports then does the kata moves but ends up behind you. I would want this teleport to be more like his MK1 teleport. That would be awesome.

Victory Pose

Well I loved his Victory pose in MKD. I think something along the lines of that would be great. How about using his lightning,it creates like a forcefield and the camera zooms in on him. I think that would be good,Or have him float up with electricity all around him,Then shock the ground,Kinda like MKD.

Attires

Well his Suites he has now arent that bad. I love the black suite from MKD though. I dont really like the costume with him with his hat off though. I think they should lose that. I think he should get like a alternate with Electricity going all around him kinda like MKD,while you are fighting with him. I hope the animation be alot more in detail cause i didnt really like the cartoonish look. It would be cool if it was kinda like MK 1, 2, or 3.

Storyline

In all honesty,I have never really paid attention to his storyline throughout the different games. I just ussually play to see what is broken about it and who has better combos and or moves to be better than the restr of the chars. I mean i know he is the eldergod,That was looking for a champion and he chose Liu Kang. I honestly would like to see a new champion and or new God to compete with Raiden.

Keep in mind that i always have played MK for combos, and never really paid attention to there storylines. I think ill check it out. Thanx for your time. wink

Kano

New Move Ideas
Escape Artist
- Kano jumps to the side avoiding any type of projectile thrown at him. Due in part because of his storyline of escaping the OIA grasps, surviving the red dragon, and convincing Shao Kahn to spare his life. It’s a literal “Dodging the bullet”.

Bladed Cannonball
- Kano quickly pulls out his double daggers (making a clinging sound), and performs his cannonball spin with his daggers vertically extended out in two opposing directions. (almost like a giant version of Kung Lao's hat throw move.)

Other moves I would like to see return
Knife Throw
- Sareena’s MKA knife throw would’ve been perfect.
Chokehold
- This move showed just how crazed this guy was.

Voice
- It’s cool they gave somewhat of a tribute to Trevor Goddard (Kano in the 1st movie) by making his voice more Australian. I think it should stay this way, giving him a more distinct character.

Get-Up Animation
- This doesn’t really need to be complex, because Kano himself isn’t. Getting angry punching the ground or something showing he’s mad would fit him just fine.

Victory Pose
- If kicking the camera fits anyone, it’s Kano.

Fighting Style
Xing Yi
- I liked it simply because it fit his ruthless attitude. As much as I’m interested in martial arts, I’m a novice when it comes down to the reasoning of why they should have it. I'd like to see other's opinions.

Weapon
Daggers
- It doesn’t necessarily have to be the butterfly knifes, but daggers fit his character well.

Throw
- The hip toss he had in the Shaolin Monks intro. If you want to see it, it’s at second 1:36.

Attires
- I never had a problem with any of Kano’s attires.

Storyline
- I know many people want to see an end to him, but I’ve always liked this guy. If he does somehow return, I think they could do a number of new things with him. For instance, fight for leadership of the Black Dragon, become a general to Havik (chaos ahoy!), or build upon whatever happened to him in the Red Dragon head quarters.

Kano

Fighting Styles

Shootfighting: Shootfighting is a modern, mixed martial arts style that combines techniques from Muay Thai, Catch Wrestling, and I think even Western Boxing. So basically, you have the strikes, elbows, knees, kicks, and clinch of Muay Thai and Boxing with the grappling and groundfighting techniques of Catch Wrestling. This style is simple, direct, and brutal.

Tanto: The Tanto are Japanese knife/dagger weapons.

I felt that Kano should have a more external style as opposed to Xing Yi and Aikido, which are more internal styles. I went with a Japanese theme here as homage to Kano's early days in Japan. Now whether those bits have been truly taken out of the canon or not, I still think Shootfighting and Tanto are good fits for him.

Say he does wield the Butterfly Knives instead. If so, I'd like to see him with San Shou, also called San Da. It's a modern Chinese style that combines the strikes and kicks of Muay Thai with the throws and takedowns of Shuai Chiao. There are influences from other styles, but those are the main influences.

Throws

Street Thug: This is basically Scorpion's MKD/Jax's MKA throw. I was surprised that Kano didn't have this as his throw as I felt it would've suited him perfectly.

Clinch Assault: This is a Muay Thai-ish type throw in which Kano grabs the opponent and gets him/her into a Muay Thai-ish clinch, knees them and then slams him/her to the ground.

Special Moves

Cannonball: This is his trademark special. It's basically a mid, knockdown move.

Diagonal Cannonball: This move of his from MK3-MKT basically acts as an anti-air move.

Eye Laser: This move should have a charge to it. Normally, it should be a weak, projectile beam. At medium level, it should be kind of like how it was in MKDA and MKA when it hit the opponent. At max level, Kano should shoot the laser downward then move his head up, along with the laser going up.

Grab n' Choke: This is his grab special from MK3-MKT. I thought it was kind of cool and fits him.

Knife Throw: This is classic projectile move. While not as fast as Sareena's projectile, Kano's Knife Throw should make the opponent stumble on hit.

Overall Gameplay

Overall, Kano should be very easy to master. His gameplay style should be full of simple, direct, and vicious moves that display his rage and brutality.

Storyline

I'm not really a fan of Kano, and I'd like to see him meet his end at the hands of Sonya during Armageddon. The Red Dragon experiment bit in his story was kind of silly, and his ending was even worse.

Appearance

His MKDA/MKA costumes are fine. For a third costume, he should have his MK3-MKT look.

Voice

His voice is fine, I guess.

Get-Up Animation

Um, I guess go with the generic get-up animation....I don't really have any ideas for him here.

Victory Pose

I don't know.

Kano is a character I feel should die but still be mentioned in a new characters bio. You know how in MKA's konquest Kano had testing done on him at the Red Dragon lair....well some others could have been there too and one could of befriended Kano. This character could have been genetically altered to a point where they would just barely be human. Kano along with the others that were tested on could have turned into complete monsters. The new character could have killed the others and defeated Kano as well, and also escaping the wrath of Caro. Kano could still be mentioned in this characters introduction as being their friend but being turned into a monster and had to be killed. Other than Kano being briefly mentioned in a new characters bio....i see no future for him regardless of him being one of the original 7. Sorry Kano fans.

Drifting_Ravage Wrote:
In here, you can give ideas as to what you would like to see with each character in the future if they were to return.

Sub-Zero

The Ice Effect
- Much more ice should come off of the frozen opponent once Sub-Zero strikes. The opponent is being engulfed in ice, yet it looks like only a small amount comes off them.
- As Sub-Zero strikes the frozen opponent, it should make a louder almost explosive like sound.
- If the opponent is frozen in the air, the opponent could fall directly down and receive the same amount of damage as an uppercut.
- If Sub-Zero doesn’t hit the opponent in time and they unthaw, instead of nothing happening, the opponent could burst out of the ice chamber with a fist in the air as the ice shatters around them.

New Move Ideas
Deep freeze
- Much like Sub-Zero’s MK2 fatality of the same name, except the opponent remains frozen for two hits instead of one or until they unthaw.

Blizzard
- Unleashing the full power of his amulet, Sub-Zero glows almost completely white, while a barrage of snow and icicles come charging at the opponent from the whole side of the screen Sub-Zero is on.

Blood Effect
- If Sub-Zero is beaten to the point of bleeding, to give him more characteristic, the blood could freeze over. Nothing too bulky, something like the lines on his face freeze. Or when he gets hit, it comes off in a cube like shape instead of the normal round way.

Fighting Style
- Dragon

Weapon
- Kori Blade

Throw
- I really liked his deadly alliance throw of freezing his opponent and surfing on them for a few feet. Maybe an upgraded version of this could be brought back in the future. Something like at the end of riding the frozen opponent, he jumps on it with both feet shattering it.

Attires
- I don’t really have any new ideas, but my favorites are both of his Deadly Alliance attires.

Storyline
- Sub-Zero almost has too much on his plate as it is. He's made quite a bit of enemies, not counting the ones that could potentially be against him. I'm interested in his conflict with Quan Chi, Noob Saibot and Sareena.

I like these ideas for Sub-Zero, but I would add 2 more special moves if you don't mind.
1.Cold Mist:
Sub-Zero creates a clone of himself but instead of solid ice, it is cold air in the shape and form of him. When his opponent walks into this, they become frozen.
2.Ice Clone: Now with this clone that Sub-Zero forms for himself, it is solid ice, but instead of becoming frozen when his opponent walks into it, it the soild ice clone causes the opponent to be confused. This way they can accidently hit the clone and hurt themselves or try a projectile shattering it leaving Subby out of harms way. Did you see the second MK movie (Annihalation) where Sub-Zero makes a ice clone of himself and Scorpion breaks it with his spear in an attempt to get Subby? Like That!glasses
