I am probably the only one that absolutely loved Kitana's MK9 primary outfit. My favorite to date. Beauty + elegance + assassin all in one.

Or her and Kung Lao were two prisoners that just weren't meant to escape from the Netherrealm, making them "the hunted". Which makes sense for Kung Lao to appear/disappear. So it's balls to the wall, kill or be killed, "time is of the essence" kind of game for Kung and Kitana.

But forget that for a sec, and let's indulge in the God Quan theory...

The more I thought about it...the only way (that I can think of, anyhow) that Quan Chi could achieve godhood is with Shinnok's amulet. Or maybe the Kamidogu (competition factors: Onaga, Shujinko, Kotal, Raiden?), but has Quan ever shown a particular interest in those artifacts? From what I recall, he's just always had a raging hard-on for that amulet.

So if he's got the amulet, what does this mean for Shinnok? Did a Quan Chi controlled Shao Kahn revenant kill him? Just as foreshadowed in Quan's MK9 ending?

I'm wrackin' my brain thinking of all the possibilities with this.

Even with the comics excluded, I feel like the depth of MKX already outweighs MK9...which was one of my biggest gripes with that game.

with that sad, i was impressed with her. I like her voice. Her costume is fucking werid, to be honest. I dont know how i feel about it. its not bad, but just weird..

Her fatality was nice. although slicing body parts off with her fans is always the go to.

Looking good. And of course there will be alternate costumes I am sure.

However I will say, for next gen, I am highly underwhelmed by the graphics. I do not notice much difference between these graphics and MK9 for the character models. At least so far.

So anxious to just find out the final roster and hopeful huge list of DLC characters!!!

The upper half is weird to me. With those strappy things going from the pants to the chest. But it's still nice.

Did you watch the video in 1080p? There is a MASSIVE difference especially in regard to textures. I mean jeez you can see the serial numbers on Cassie's pistol.

Maybe they're even plotting some way to "kill two birds (Raiden & Quan) with one stone". They could also be secretly nursing Liu Kang back to health, because (correct if I'm wrong, I haven't read them yet) Liu is still MIA, even in the comics. But the more info we get, the more it seems to me that Raiden is indeed fucked.

The top half has grown on me, I think i would just prefer if the bottom half wasnt a jumpsuit/pants but instead a sash or something.

but its pretty much princess at the top and assassin on the bottom. Although i doubt kitana is playing the assassin role anymore.

Ive seen a few people saying the fatality was meh. I actually thought it was near perfect. Kitana is an assassin. That's exactly how an assassin should eliminate someone. Quick and direct. The hands thing was unnecessary tho. Maybe if Kano had held his hands up to stop her it would have made sense.

But yeah, this is favorite kind of fatality. I dont really like the flashy, drawn out finishers. It becomes silly when that happens. But like Kitana's here, she pounces, stabs, then quickly leaves. Shit is serious.

Also shout outs to NRS on the backgrounds. I like how the backgrounds dim and desaturate but dont completely dissappear during fatalities. The Kove actually looked way more forboding during the fatality. Also the depth of field effects are really nice.

It's shit like this that give Kitana...fans...a bad rep

I'll jump on the bandwagon of people who, want a few mk 4-8 a characters.

Fujin, Bo rai cho, Nitara. Maybe Reiko. They promised new characters. I'd like to see more of them then returning characters

It's a late Christmas miracle that the MK team have finally realised how ridiculous it looks.

If this costume lacked a mask, it would look like something Talim from Soul Calibur would wear (hairstyle included).

I hate Talim, but Kitana slay with this look.

Barring the ninja tabi I think the bottom is more princess. I like the pants a lot actually but I was hoping the pussy cape from MK9 would make a comeback maybe with a proper back this time. Her little tiny one is okay though.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Kitana's eyes looking human could be an indication that she actually isn't Mileena in disguise:

But if they are going down that route, it would have been cool to see Kitana(Mileena) wearing a veil instead to hide her glowing monster eyes.

Really disappointed, nothing against Kung Lao or Kitana as characters per se, I'm glad for their fans, really, but it made the reboot in MK9 utterly worthless, looks like another fan favourite circle-jerk, foreshadowing that decent writing might be off the wagon again.

NRS succumbing so much to fan demand is disheartening, just how many characters from MK9 are we going to have? where is the fresh new start? It's times like this when I really wish I could enjoy MK just for its gameplay, I really do.

They're obviously not going to put Mileena in the game and have her disguised as kitana with all of Kitana's movesets! ^^^
