Game looks flipping sweet! Gonna end up getting it on PS3. Everyone looks great and the action looks badass. Not to mention the Fatalities and X-Ray's. Can't wait to pick this up down the line.

Kitana is absolutely perfect. I mean, wow. Kung Lao looks incredible. Everything about this game is making my jaw drop. If we have around 12 left, I hope at least five are new. Give me Reiko, Fujin, Reptile, Tanya, Frost, Shinnok, and Smoke. Then I also can't wait to see the new characters.

Ps. The Goro design shows me that NRS is not fucking around. It looks so amazing I'm just in awe of it.

Agreed. I was not a "fan" (see what I did) of either MK9 Kitana outfits. I always played her in the klassic kostumes. The crotch cloth and the horribly animated hair never worked for Kitana in MK9.

Kitnana in MKX is a flawless combo of Edenian princess and assassin. She looks royal, but deadly. Now, do the same for Tanya!!!

Am I the only one who thinks Boon hyped this trailer a bit too much? It's good don't get me wrong but the way he was tweeting I was expecting to be blown away.

What's with the negativity, Kitana is great for the story and looks awesome. Goro looks crazy scary and Kung Lao also great!! What's most exciting: the hint at X-Ray Brutalities! At the end point, you see the skull :D

Something I just noticed is that it appears Kung Lao is missing his left arm?

It's just the pose the pic has captured. In the trailer he's moving quite fast and he has both limbs.

Right? And Mileena disguised as Kitana as the plot of MKD and the actual character was still Mileena so uh no.

Definitely loving her costume and style in this! I agree with many when I say she looks the best she has in a long time.

I'm starting to believe that we will see a lot more MK9 revived characters than we thought... Well, if this game does have a roster about the size of MK9's (let's just say 27 since I don't believe they would give us less), that has 10 confirmed so far (6 returning) and by the looks of the comics... . That's still just at half the roster, and I really do hope we get more MK4+ characters. In the comic, also seeing makes me think there's hope for them yet. But I still think with even them and roughly 10-14 potential spots for how large the final roster may be, and more than enough spots for fresh characters (although I wish announcing them would pick up the pace...)

Looking forward to faster reveals and announcements since the new year has started!

So I've just watched the trailer in it's 1080p magnificence. A few thoughts that didn't occur before -

The MUSIC. I like the backing track a lot. Dunno whether it's just for the trailer, or if it's a nod at what's to come in the game, but I hope it's the latter. Good stuff.

Kotal Kahn...that's NOT his win pose. At least not for a round win, but maybe a victory pose for a match win. He also drops his friggin' dagger. Doesn't anyone find that odd? (If it's not a match win pose)

Details, details, details! I mean you can see the sweat gleaming on Cassie's face!

Earthrealm stages. Yeah Earthrealm got boned...and hard. Loving the dark, post-apocalyptic feel of these arenas.

I'm still confused about Kung Lao's "Fists of Fury". That can't be a normal attack, and it doesn't seem like it would fit with the other tidbits of his X-ray (lookin' good btw) that we've seen. Throw?
Also, he paid homage to Liu Kang's MK1 fatality with that cartwheel kick!

Okay I'm done. I'm just usually so FAR off base with my guesses that it's ridiculous. This one felt gud.

I'm loving her design. The intricacies! I'm glad she's not slutified, and I'm relieved that she seems to have singed some of that cringe-worthy hair on her voyage through the flames of the Netherrealm. Bet that made programming a lot easier, too. I also dig the parachute leg jammies.

Now, the fatality...

Upon re-watching, I retract my earlier statement of "meh". From what I can tell, it seems to follow the same pattern as the Kano/Raiden/Quan trailers. We don't see the FULL fatality. The top of Kano's head slides off, then the mouth piece starts to...but it cuts to black. I think there's more to it than meets the eye.

So glad Kitana is back. Easily one of my favorites to play as in MK9, and I can't wait to try her out in MKX. Actually...as of now, she might be the first I go for. Now just give me Reptile, Ermac, Bo Rai Cho, Fujin, Shinnok, Mileena, and I'm set.

Perhaps it is possible after E3 they decided to add a few more MK9 characters. So who knows, we may get 30-32 characters on the roster which could still feature post Trilogy characters plus DLC. It's highly possible. They still would've had plenty of time from then to add them in, especially if they'd done production sketches on them for cameos in story mode with updated looks. We know nothing of the story mode features so perhaps they had hired the voice actors for some of the dead characters to appear there but not originally be playable, then switch it up? They've honestly blown me away with the amount of detail and content that seems to be in this game already so I'm not expecting it, but it wouldn't surprise me either.

I hope Mileena is revealed soon. If Kitana looks THIS good, lord knows Mileena is going to break the internet.

I think there may be high chances still. After all...

They have to release the common and older characters first, that way game gets hype while still keeping people wanting more. if they released all the new characters first then released these people would be like ..o sweet, but nothing like the hype they are getting now.

also I like that i don't know whose all in the game yet, going to make playing the game feel fresh and exciting than knowing everything before release. also i hope they don't reveal the hidden characters at all till after the game is released.

You can put Kung Lao's into that category, because all we saw was his hat spinning with Quan Chi's face above it. As for Kitana's, I think that was her full fatality unless she mutilates their torso afterwards? I can't really see it happening though, because he is literally dead after his hands being amputated and his head being turned into...sushi(flanks).

When we saw Quan Chi's X-ray, it cut out after he jumped off of his opponent and I thought there would have been more to it, but there wasn't.
