Kitana's hair still needs work upon closer inspection...Why can't they get the hair right?

What's up with Cassie's neck in that picture? Is that just normal fight gore / damage? I'm assuming so, but it's strange, I don't remember seeing a lot of that yet.
As for Kitana's fans, I dig their design. I'm not floored, but still the best I've seen for her and I definitely prefer them to MKDA, MK2 or MKG.
Just an aside, but it was really nice seeing 80 people on here after the trailer dropped and a 20 page thread sprout up in about two days.

Same here! Just when I think I've seen everything in MK, they keep finding ways to drop my jaw with something awesome like that.
Really psyched to see what they'll show us in the next few months, and the crazy part is that it feels like there's so much left to see.

My guess it's at the end of a fatality, because her gun is smoking and its kind of a winning pose

Ya know, I just noticed that too. It is strange looking.
I was also shocked when I saw the amount of online users. Staggering!
I love her fans they look really deadly!!!
and idk if anyone has said this or not but i really noticed it with kitana that the females this time around don't have like over beefed up muscles like they did in mk 9!! they are still fit but in a sexy kinda way not like a bulky body building with huge biceps and a 12 pack!! just wanted to point that out.

I just realized that Kitana's hair is most likely bunned up to avoid hair physics after all that bitching about it in the last game. That's pretty funny. They really addressed everything that people felt wrong about her previous model.
With that said, I'm sure her face is just fine...but then again, they probably might avoid giving her an unmasked version for an alt.

I also appreciate NRS that they thought about a solution to fix the hair of the female fighter in MKX. I think we gonna see many bald-hair female fighter ^.^

MIND = BLOWN.
I wish i could see a slowed-down video. These fast cuts are a little detracting from all da HYPE!
I've been spending time for the past four days with my man-friend and all this happens behind my back. This always happens to me.
Were we expecting another character reveal so soon after KL? I'm amazed at how good this game looks.
Kitana: The hair, so pretty and functional. She has armour! She has clothes! Not a thing i don't like about this reveal.
Kung Lao: Fast and brutal. Dem hats!!! Looks good even aged too. Kano is still the sexiest rough basterd (yum yum)
I hope some of the other Netherrealm-entrapped characters stay dead for a while. (Stryker, Sindel, Nightwolf etc) Not because i don't like them, but to give their deaths meaning. It makes it more special for the ones that have "escaped".
Love the newly improved new characters too. Cassie looks better than ever, Kotal looks scary meaner than before. It's just small tweaks but it's really noticeable in this vid.
Uuh, what? Might want to rephrase that lmao.

Which means nothing in the MK universe. Seeing your amount of visits, I take you ́ve been a fan for a longer time. So you should know that by now ;)

That's not a proper answer, he was asking seriously. Just because a lot people like to spew that tired phrase as an excuse doesn't make it a valid explanation now and it will never be ;) Answering the original question, we don't know yet, maybe is another reboot or maybe they decided to retcon parts of the MK storyline yet again, at this point, everything is speculation, we need more info.

Have you been following the MK games at all?
Hanzo Hasashi died. Sindel died. Bi Han died. But they all found a way to come back and their resurrections have one thing in common: Quan Chi!
What did Quan Chi say to Shinnok at the end of MK9's story mode?
What did we learn about the "revenants" from Quan's MKX reveal trailer?
We do have more info, but you're like 25 years behind.

I agree. They were fantastic. Her fans, and the Scorpion/Subby fight were the best things about that movie imo, lol.

Just finished with the trailer. The game looks great, but man. Kitana is seriously boring to me. Really wish it was Mileena or a new female. Her costume and fatality is cool though so she has that going for her.
Oh well. Now I wait a couple more grueling months.

huhhllllloooo. I guess I'm not really upset whenever we get new updates, but damn. Can we see someone exciting?
I'm all for the Kitana costume. Hopefully Mileena/Tanya get the same treatment.

I thought the same thing. Which leads me to believe that Cyrax will come back, (and possibly Ermac) regardless of the Ed Boon Tweet reply. "He missed the Bus", that I used to hang onto each time someone cries about the possible lack of Cyrax.
But also, the voice actor said he wasn't doing the role again. Doesn't mean someone can't take his place. Besides, they can just get their janitor and protool his voice up and call it a day.
*edit* Oh yeah, and Reptile.

I like the music a lot in this video. Sounds very brutal and scary, yet modern enough.

I have no idea what point were you trying to make, but I was answering a question about MKX's canon story, one we have little info about. None of the returning, allegedly dead, characters has been revealed as revenant.
Besides. neither Hanzo Hasashi nor Bi Han were resurrected, they re-spawned on the Netherrealm and were transformed into something else (Scorp and Noob), non-human.
If you want to use examples of characters being resurrected or finding a way to come back to life Cage are Kang are more fitting.

I don't know why... after like, 20ish years and 10 games... people still feel the need to quibble about the how and why of dead characters coming back to life in Mortal Kombat...
Fun Fact: Nearly every single character in this franchise, except one by my eye, has in point of fact... DIED at least once.
"What? No they haven't!? When!?"
Well several of them have had one-off deaths at various points throughout the series, but lest we all forget EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM DIED, except for Kahn and Raiden at the end of Armageddon/Beginning of MK9...
And Kahn and Raiden have both been dead at least once before that. Kahn was "killed" by the Deadly Alliance, only to get unkilled in Deception. Raiden blew himself up in Deception, only to come back as Dark Raiden... in the same game. Yes, in point of fact, characters have died and been resurrected in the span of one game in this franchise.
The only character, by my count, to have never once died, is Skarlet... because she was introduced after the great pyramid culling.
Some come back as zombies
Some come back as wraiths
Some come back as Oni, Smoke Monsters, Cyborgs, Shadow Warriors & Demons, or some other sort of wacky slave to Quan Chi or the Dragon King
Speaking of Dragon Kings, sometimes they're dead for a zillion years, but their spirit can dupe a guy into collecting six rocks, which then allow them to possess Reptile and just keep strolling right along into Outworld like they own the place...
Some are already dead before we ever even meet them, yet still fully functioning members of the cast, capable of interacting with the living
Some come back exactly the same as they always were, with no wacky dark magic or slavery to show for it
I'm pretty sure some of them have been ghosts a couple of times
Still, some are killed off, only to later be revealed to have never died at all
Some basically just decide not to be dead anymore. After dying in MKII, Johnny Cage basically just said, "Huh, the door to heaven is closed... I guess I just won't be dead anymore." and ghost walked back down to earth and into his apparently fully functioning and intact body for MK Trilogy/MK4.
Some of them die, only to reappear perfectly fine and exactly the same in the Netherealm... and then just walk right out of hell exactly as they were before Death (because you can evidently do that in this universe) (Mileena died somewhere in that MKII-UMK3 area, only to then be exactly the same and working for Shinnok in MKG... because... I guess she just woke up in the Netherealm after she died and continued being an evil minion.)
Baraka may or may not have been cut in half one time and then resurrected by stapling himself back together (the rumors remain unsubstantiated. *Cough*)
And when all else fails, when anyone and everyone is dead, they all get time-travel retconned back to life in a rewritten history that's mostly familiar, but with a few fun new plot twists... most of which involve killing them again.
Does it really MATTER how they're alive? REALLY!?
They're alive because they wanted them to be in this game. Whatever flimsy excuse they attach to their resurrections this time is largely inconsequential, and should in no way have to depend on the flimsy resurrections put forth in the past.
This is one of the few franchises where, "Yeah... dying doesn't matter in this series" truthfully IS the best answer...
It really doesn't. A character can literally die, and then just get back up and stop being dead in this franchise. Should Ed Boon deem them worthy of it.
