I doubt it. From an interview at GamesCom last year Ed Boon had this to say about this:

ED BOON: "Right, yes. It never ceases to amaze me with the speculation that goes on. We love our fans and stuff like that and it's great that they're so into it but it just blows my mind when somebody hears 'Cassie Cage is in the game...' and then they assume that means 'well Sonya is not in the game!' and I don't know where they draw that conclusion and then they go 'Well if Sonya is not in the game that means Cassie is going to be a version of Sonya and she's gonna be skinned'. It's amazing but my advice would be don't speculate on that kind of stuff. *laughs*"

Kind of resembles Forest Fox. It's been sugested that Takeda would take up that mantle but the hair looks different from what he has in the comics.

It's all speculation, really. There are screen caps of what looks to be like Mileena, Liu Kang, Jax, and at the beginning of the trailer Sonya/Cassie is shown.

Isnt' that not the case though? Ed and the team said that the game picks up after MK2011 and then spans 25 years. The comic takes place like right before the events of the well the present time line in the game ...wait..T-Rex get in here and help me out.

Didn't the comics were like 15 years after MK9? and then MKX... I got confused with this

What's with the caps?

What you are seeing is Kung Lao. He is shown on other towers more clearly, with the same exact pose, and gold emblem on his chest.

Jax is in the background of the Special Forces blurred picture when they're talking about the different factions, just after the picture of Raiden with the White Lotus description. He's sitting down but it's clearly him.
