As far as the whole "been around for one game" thing, if a fan had been around for more that one game, and liked it enough to be an active participent in it's fanbase, than I doubt they would give up on the franchise entirely, because of MK vs DC.
One correct response to the last paragraph there, is that regardless of their stay around this game, they have lost Faith in the franchises ability to satisfy why they'd want to continue to be a part of the fan base.
And based on the parameters of the disappointments per whatever game is was, rightfully so. Just says I understand why they'd feel that way....just hasn't made me leave.
