Yeah Mk vs Dc had trash Fatalities. No effort. Kabal's face scare was actually a necessary one though. It fits him, cause nobody would know about his face without the mask.

I agree withe rest. Definitely worst of all was quan chi's neck stretch. Runners up IMO:

10 and 7 make me angry. Those were both excellent finishers.
In fact, I've been dissatisfied with Tanya's character ever since Deception because to me, she is "the chick who puts her crotch in your face before she kills you". She had this weird "jealous of Kitana, trying to seduce Liu" thing going on in her storyline and was generally the first real seductress character MK had, before they added that trait to Mileena. And the fact that she doesn't do that move or act like that anymore makes it feel like the most interesting thing about her is missing.
And their reason for complaining about it is there's no gore and debris...but I think the way the head keeps spinning around after she stops is awesomely gruesome.

10, 9, 8, and 7 really shouldn't be in that list...at all! Specially Tanya's Neck Breaker, which is actually one of the coolest Fatalities in the series. Blood and extreme gore don't always make good Fatalities.

I thought Tanyas was like the most brutal fatality ever when I first saw it, lol. And that Kenshi Fatality is like the best one in DA, oh well. Quan Chis neck strech should have been number 1, its my personal least favorite fatality of all time.

I agree with all except Kenshi's and Tanya's.

I don't care what anybody says, I have never had a problem with the Cartwheel Fatality.

I have to admit I've never once played MKvsDCU, but the fatalities looked pretty weak on youtube. I'd still put Quan Chi's neck stretcher at number one.

It's crazy how Quan Chi can have one of the best and worst finishers in the series history.

Tanya's was one of the coolest ones in MK4!!! It was def. original to say the least!!!

Kabal's face scare was also really cool!!! I loved it! it was fun and it looked really cool!!!

Liu Kangs MK1 fatality was cool! not too violent but it was awesome nontheless!!!

And in regards to Sindels Hara Kiri... there where def. waaaay worse ones.

The reason for it was a story thing. Liu Kang 's a monk, he had a vow not to kill people. That's why the screen doesn't even go black, it's not real a fatality, it doesn't kill the victim.

In MK2, he abandons the vow because of the temple being wiped out and decides to get revenge, so that's why he has "real" fatalities now.

I can understand why someone would not give a shit about all that and still think it's lame, but personally, I like when a character's stuff fits their personality. Also, I like that it was changed to a regular special move in MKvsDCU.

Tanya's crotch-killer was very memorable, and I loved how the totally disconnected head flops around like a bobble-head after she's done.

Kabal's scary face is less ridiculous than the balloon head. It at least has story-related significance.

Kenshi's eye-popper was a great, over-the-top violet finisher, I thought.

Didn't mind Sindel's Hara-Kiri. It's a suicide so it made sense to me.

I'd have replaced one of those with Jax's giant boot-stomp, Darrius's body-swapping finisher, Scorpion's penguin animality, or Rain's "inverse" uppercut. That's just me.

I think a lot of us can find fault with this list. I felt that the toned-down-ness of MKvsDC actually caused the team to have to be more creative, since rehashing old gory fatalities wouldn't simply be enough. Even the Heroic Brutalities seemed worse than Fatalities, in their own way, because you could see that the loser survived, a fate worse than death. Liu Kang in MK1 had the noblest, purest motivations and so the screen didn't even get dark - that added a touch of uniqueness and spoke to his character, I thought that was a decent touch. Oh, I didn't mind Raiden dying in his own either, it was a neat throwback to the intro where he sacrificed himself to kill Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, and Onaga. It makes sense that his energies would just re-form again as they had already done since his death in the intro.

Babalities, some of the unfitting Animalities, and Rain's Uppercut Fatality from MKT probably should have been added to this list instead.

Motaro's head rip shouldn't even be considered for the list, it was a programming afterthought, a recycled animation.

Kabal's scary face was f***ing awesome, I don't know anyone who didn't love that one. It was ridiculous but it knew it and played it to the hilt.

I agree, Reptile turning into a chimp was kinda off (although funny), but seriously, no mention of Scorpion turning into a penguin???

Probably the same reason Johnny and Scorp both still have their MK1 finisher in MK2 too, they figured it was iconic enough to leave it in or they couldn't think of anything better.

Seems like Liu's really hard to design fatalities for. He's been in almost every game and yet only ever had like three good ones, tops.

Not counting MKSM, of course. They really went to town for both him and Kung Lao in that one. I really hope the "Shaolin Soccer" is one of his MK9 finishers.
