Sub-Zero's Cold Hand of Death Grips Lawless Season of Fortnite
A cold blooded killer ready to hire!

The Lin Kuei mercenary Sub-Zero has officially sent the island of Fortnite into a deep freeze! The hotly anticipated MK 'kollaboration' puts the cryomancer's skills in your hands and offers his services in the latest season pass! Take a closer look:

Sub-Zero is available in his widely publicized Ultimate "Mortal Kombat 3" attire, as well as a Bi-Han variant that brings a little bit of the clan leader's style from Mortal Kombat 1 to the massively popular online battle royale.

Sub-Zero is your ultimate reward for completing the newest Battle Pass, but you can also unlock frozen kori ice axes, dragon logo "Kombat Crasher" glider, Sub-Zero's frosty gauntlets to wield combos and ice slide with authentic Kombat Announcer, and even a friendly "Frozen Treat Cart" ice cream emote with emoji-style cartoon art of Scorpion and Raiden on the sides that's sure to make friends.

The Klassic Kombat set also includes a loading screen with artwork by Ryan Smallman which depicts an exciting, highly stylized rendition of a mirror match in The Dead Pool. A very cool addition for a very respectful representation of the Mortal Kombat franchise!

The fun doesn't seem like it will stop here. Rumors widely point toward the inclusion of Scorpion in a subsequent update, which according to social media speculation from Fortnite dataminer, iFireMonkey, will include: another mythic weapon that may enable uppercuts, airkicks, and a toasty fatality. No official announcements have been made by Epic Games, Warner Brothers, or NetherRealm Studios to confirm or deny this.

Sub-Zero is getting mixed up in mayhem and grand larceny as he steps onto the streets in the first trailer for Fortnite's next chapter: Lawless! The MK crossover with the popular battle royale was officially revealed late last week. Take a look:

Battle Royale C6S2 brings a good old fashioned bank heist to the shooter as players are tasked with ransacking Fletcher Kane's banks and making a clean getaway across trains in Fortnite Lawless. So will the Lin Kuei mercenary be lending his specialist skills to one of the criminal sides? That's up to you when you take control of the newest collaboration - coming Friday, January 21st.

Sub-Zero makes a dramatic entry into the trailer roughly around the 1:00 minute mark, wielding iced up gauntlets and his trademark ice slide in the 2-3 second appearance. A tantalizing taste of whats to come from the first of two expected crossovers from Mortal Kombat.

Sub-Zero Coming to Fortnite Lawless Mortal Kombat Collaboration
Lawless Victory!

Mortal Kombat has played host to its fair share of guest characters in recent games, but after years of speculation and fan requests -- the legendary franchise is about to crash somebody else's fun! Sub-Zero is officially coming to Fortnite as part of the next big Battle Pass! Take a closer look at things to come:

An Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3-inspired klassic Sub-Zero, with very subtle eye scar, appears in the line-up of new characters coming to Fortnite C6S2: Lawless [pictured below].

The caper begins February 21st, bringing the Lin Kuei ice warrior to the island battle royale, where he'll be able to fight with a multitude of franchise icons, including classic arcade rivals from the Street Fighter series, familiar foes from the DC Universe, and even a few crossovers that got away - like Evil Dead's Ash and Halloween's Michael Myers.

The collaboration is a long time coming! Injustice 2 concept artist Eric "Decay" Tran imagined what a Fortnite/Mortal Kombat crossover would look like back in 2018, envisioning designs for Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Jax, and Mileena.

Although no official announcements have been made yet, a rumor posted to X [aka; Twitter] by Fortnite watcher ShiinaBR, speculates that there will also be a second character skin, and that each of them will receive "a unique mythic item": rarities sometimes obtained through boss drops that possess upgraded or special abilities. Fellow Fortnite leak analyst FNBRintel has speculated this will be Scorpion.

Mortal Kombat II Movie Releases Uncaged Fury Karl Urban Poster
Karl Urban is Johnny Cage - Coming Soon.

Mortal Kombat II is coming soon only to theatres and a mock poster hyping Karl Urban as Johnny Cage is reminding everybody of the occasion! Take a closer look at the first official image of the hotly anticipated klassic kombatant:

Urban dons a tasteful pair of sunglasses to embody the fan-favourite character for a poster playing up Johnny Cage's status as an action movie star. Uncaged Fury is apparently from the studio who brought us Rebel Without a Cage -- one of the many titles in Johnny's legendary in-fiction filmography that includes game references Ninja Mime, The Gist of My Fist, Cage Match and more.

Johnny Cage was a controversial omission from the 2021 cinematic franchise reboot -- quickly becoming a highly anticipated character for the sequel that attracted a variety of hopeful would-be actors. New Zealand actor Karl Urban (The Boys, Thor: Ragnarok) became attached to the teased role early in 2023. Series co-creator Ed Boon shared a photo with the actor from a July visit to the Australian backlot that same year.
