cg endings needed indeed... but i wouldnt really care for this game.

i still look forward to the slides - and while i guess in a way they are still staying true the origional mortal kombat ways of doing it - these days it seems that rather than doing it to stay true to the series they do it ebcause of lazyness to get the title out before a certain date.

It would be cool to get real endings i suppose.

i agree that ninja kata thing wasn't fufilling at all,also because of the boring unsatifying endings. I mean come on! half a paragraph and that's all we get?? so yeah... cgi endings for the win!!

Personally I'd be happy with simple endings similar to those found in MK4 using the in-game engine and such. However, if they DO go down that road I seriously hope they stop fucking around with voice acting and do it right.

On the plus side, with only 20-22 characters, CGI endings are realistic for this game. Whether the MK team will shell out for them is another matter entirely.

With this new engine, they MUST give us amazing movie endings.

I love the picture endings, but 2 pics for each character feels horribly old and unsatisfying with all the possibilities this engine provides.



Those were one of the most INSULTING things of the game (notice I said “one”).

The only reason they gave us Kata’s is because there were over 55 characters and I figure they got too...(insert obvious words here)...to create slides for each character.

It was truly a shame.

It reminds me of the silly Fatalities that were supposed to be “soooo cool”.

Assuming there is an Arcade mode in the game, then I hope for CG.

If there isn't an Arcade mode then the story ending will have to be CG.

Slides, FMV, as long as the content is good. I want something significant to happen, and hopefully canon. The idea of a non-canon ending is absurd, unless it's A) a stab a humor, or B) formatted tournament where your character MUST defeat the final boss for something like an ending to be even possible. Condition B hasn't applied for some time now.

I'd take slides for this game, put the FMV's in the next M rated, MK-only MK game. < < -That sounded ridiculous...

Anyway, they should be able to work casually on 10-20 of them between this game, and then. Go in, and touch things up right before that game comes out.

Well the characters in gold sure didnt look like actors.
It was very animated u think. So to me thats cartoonish.
I prefer the slide show.

Since Midway can only afford one FMV per game, maybe Warner is bringing some dosh and/or facilities to the table, eh?... Marvel's recently been peddling it's video game CG scenes not only online, but as DVD extras!

FMV's are the way to go. I'd be extremely disappointed if none were added. Hopefully DC will help fund the costs here and allow the MK Team to work some magic and perhaps we may even see FMV cutscenes telling the story of the game during the single player mode. Super Smash Bros Brawl did an amazing job in that respect.
