The story mode looks like it will be epic.

Yeah, it looks epic indeed. I think that the voice of Raiden is being performed by the guy who narrated the first trailers for MK Deception, and Armageddon respectively. I think Batman's voice is badass, and his eye to eye confrontation with Sub-Zero has me psyched. An Armageddon-like battle between the sides. Cool stuff.

Oh... My... God... That was like the coolest video ever! I was seeing the story as a little extra but now it looks great! "We have come to challenge you in Mortal Kombat" made me go yay
I love the DC villains talking together with the joker "Blow things up come on it'll be fuuuuun" lol XD

Maybe I am just being picky about the looks of the faces, because everything else rocks to a high level.

The voice acting is the best thing, cause before they seemed like just voices from the team, whereas this seems like they got professional voice actors to do it.

Graphics look great, and the Joker looks like he's a lot of fun. The final battle setting looks a little too camp perhaps even for Mortal Kombat (is that possible!), I guess that just shows the conflict in my head between this pretty damn light hearted game (despite the epic scale) and the original direction for a new, dark and gritty Mortal Kombat (before they had the crossover idea).

I am so glad I'm not buying this game.

Pro:

: Well.....I love the voice acting and the music. The folks associated with those things deserve a crapload of props because they've done a really good job from the actual sound of things.

I think it may be more, that they picked the right voices for the characters. Which is great. But the downside is that things still sound scripted.

Con:

:Still sounds scripted. The difference between actually saying "Isn't" & "Is Not". Inflection is important too.

::"DC Universe with MK characters in it" should be the title of this game. Music helps drive this perspective home. Even though it's excellent music.

:::Facial Animations are convincing, but not quite good enough. More "Heavenly Sword" please.

::::Graphics aren't good enough for how good this needs to be. Maybe this is just the tone that is set in the vid. I'm not excited.

:::::"Assigned Characters" in the mode. That's a huge No-No, MkTeam.

--Other--

- There are some scenes in there that are too reminiscent of past MK games. "Everyone again running towards something like mindless tools. -- "Raiden again gathers everyone up to go fight."

Doesn't do much for changing things dramatically.

- There are some scenes that actually do the "novelty" some justice though. Like mostly Batman vs Sub-Zero. Raiden vs Superman doesn't do it though.

- Overall I'm still supremely underwhelmed.

Sub-Zero and Batman squaring off made me shit bricks.

So other than that, yeah, it looks amazing. lol at how dark and gritty the MK side is, and how colorful the DC side was when they were about to fight. Still, it looks awesome

The last scene was the best with Joker deathstroke and Lex.

And yeh, this actually hyped me up for the game.
This story actually seems to be a lot stronger then the crap midway have been throwing out the last few MK games.

I am actually more hyped about story mode and seeing what happens then playing the actual game.

Wow that was epic. However it appears that most of the blood only remains in klose kombat, freefall, and fatalities.

The voice acting (minus Shang Tsung) sound amazing! Also, I'm starting to think Quan Chi could be a Super Unlockabkle, due to the fact we've seen no other "NPCs" from either side, and quan Chi had more screentime then other characters in the vid

So it looks like magic explains why Superman doesn't just flick your head off with his finger (in the video Scorpion kicks Supes into the car and Supes says "magic?"), but what weakens CM and WW? Is it just the merging of the realms?

I liked it a lot. Everything was looking great, joker was awesome.. everything just seemed.. really awesome.

Bingo, Pred, bingo. That's what's actually quite jarring about the final battle scene.

I do like Joker's line in the end to Deathstroke and Lex;

But this has got me stoked even more for MK vs. DCU! :) I can't wait to see the finished product and how fun it's gonna be. I got a good feeling about it, and once I learned more, I began to see that regard of the fact the game wouldn't be much like previous MKs...

I started to see the game would be better than it appeared from the start.

Either MK is really getting into NPC character models or they are still hiding things from us.

Perhaps they have already created the DLC characters and will release them later for some more cash.
Sounds like a viable thing Midway would do!

Captain marvel flying at 1.00 is also pretty sweet
Kinda odd though seeing him fly around, Iv gotten used to watching him among others fighting on ground and not using their ability to fly (Especially during free fall)

This game has officially become baddass. The only thing I saw that sucks in this video, is the fact that it has the same old crappy MK voice acting (only in some cases though, such as Superman and Shang Tsung.)

I honestly can't believe people are saying the voice acting is bad or horrible.

Are Shang Tsung's and Superman's voices really that bad? The voice acting is no doubt one of the strongest parts of this video, and frankly, it just HAS to be one of the main concerns of the mk team because they need to sell us the story and convince us.

They can't afford to have bad acting no matter what, that's why they hired professionals.

And I think it rocks.



I'm guessing that is the answer. The merging of the realms could had provoked many more varied consequences and effects.
