Well, these are two awesome DC characters from the Vertigo series....was just wondering how you guys that (follow DC especially) would feel if either or both were to some how make it into the MK8 MK vs. DC game?
Personally, I think they would both fit perfectly.
Here's how they look both movie and comic

Don't you think they'd fit in great in MK? I do, maybe they could be "super unlockables"
V isn't really a good guy, more neutral/dark and Constantine is just a badass good guy.

It would please us MK fans more I think, but I doubt it'll happen. I'm sure they're going to focus more on their main roster. (JLA)

I probably wouldn't like it. I just can't see the Vertigo characters participating in a goofy crossover video game.
But for the sake of discussion...if they were to include some Vertigo characters, besides V I'd include
Rorschach from Watchmen:
He was cool.
And the Saint of Killers from Preacher:
He killed God.

They would both make wonderful secret characters imo.
I'd really like to see how they did voice overs and special moves for V. That's entertainment all by it'self.
I never knew about those XD84...

V would rock.

About Me
As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about.

From what im guessing, they'll have like 6 DC(JLA) good, 5 to 6 villians, And possibly 2 to 3 secret. I think having 3 of these 4 as secrets characters would be awesome. Take the same concept for the MK characters.

A little disappointed, and very surprised.
DC don't own V, and neither character is part of the DC Universe.
And since Constantine isn't traditionally much of a fighter, that would be far more disappointing an inclusion than Batman, Superman, or any of the other pantheon of superheroes, who all typically engage in some kind of combat with regularity.

What makes you think this game will be "goofy" it looks to be much of the opposite...
If you ask me personally lol MVC, SC 4 with SW guys looks way more silly then this idea.
On what mick said, you're right Constantine isn't much of a "fighter" but he could be perhaps use his weapons that we saw in the movie and some from the comics. Think of it this way, if Stryker can be in an MK game being just a cop that can fight a little with a nightstick, tazer and grenades then I think Constantine could get away with being in MK. But will admit V is a lot more appealing and is a fighter, a badass with knives
I think V would fit in perfectly.

Just about any crossover...the blending of genre, context, and/or theme...is inherently goofy.

All the characters you guys are talking about are creations of Alan Moore. And there is NO way he would let DC put them into ANY video game.
He's already filed a million lawsuits againts DC and Marvel.

You're confusing a "fighter" with someone who knows how to fight.
Constantine is neither. Stryker makes sense because he fights and has those weapons and presumably some degree of training... Constantine is a guy who smokes too much, does the odd exorcism, and generally cons his way through problems... Not a fist fighter. Put down the Matrix kung fu.
That, and comics fans probably already think they're slumming it.
After Keanu Reeves, the Hellblazer readers would probably commit ritual suicide. All twenty thousand of them... lolz
It's sort of funny to see the MK guys flipping out over a dude in a union suit sullying their game; blissfully unaware that MK is the retarded kid in the corner, to most other communities, gaming or otherwise.

I don't see how MK is the retarded kid in the corner lol, that's a bit random...
Most people on here are complaining that MK is too dark for DC, so I'd disagree on that concept...
I only mentioned Constantine because of the kind of world he comes from, I know he's not a fighter but they could make him fight with just basic fighting skills...if they wanted
@X, I see what you're saying but this doesn't look nearly as goofy or silly as MVC or Vader or Yoda in SC4 lol
Fuzzdork, that's a good point on the knives scenario....hmm he could still fighter perhaps without them V's a badass.

Have you spent anytime talking to people who aren't "MK fans"... It isn't exactly the shining beacon of the video game industry. It's no small coincidence that the likes of Street Fighter and other major video gaming franchises didn't crossover with MK -- it's the franchise everyone else makes fun of.
I'm not not being a "random" jerk.
I'm just saying; regular comic fans aren't exactly chomping at the bit to team-up with MK, but something like Vertigo, which is usually prided by it's readership as 'too cool for school,' probably wouldn't be caught dead with a naff representation of the mature rating. Vertigo's typically about a bit more than some splodgy blood spatters and nonsensical decapitations...

That, and let's be honest, because there was a movie...
(Speaking of which; I should probably correct some of my other posts, because the movie reminds me that technically Moore and Gibbon don't own V for Vendetta. Although, cramming the character into a video game would probably be a far more tenuous situation than the canonizing of the character on film.)

That's just certain peoples opinions on some of the of late MK games, everyone knows damn well that the older MK's MK2, MK3 and UMK3 tore everything up or competed with SSFII, Tekken and just killed KI all together...
And the adventure MK's are very good games except for MK:SF...that game reeked sadly but was fun in concept at least....
I know plenty of people that hate the other fighters, Tekken, SC now with SW characters? okey dokey then lol..that's just dumb IMO and way more illogical then MK vs DC any day.
So you'll find different views saying different things, I know plenty of gamers that hate SF with the alpha changes, EX attempt and aren't all that impressed with SF4 that much...

... Since my point is regarding those opinions, in particular reference to the already closed off Vertigo fanbase, that's a given. Yes.
I dare say the majority perspective from outside the MK fanbase is laughs all around. I'm not submitting it for debate; I'm just relaying one of the many factors working against most licensed crossovers with other brands -- particularly Vertigo, which is already kept on the top shelf where MK fans can't reach.
Stories like V for Vendetta, rightly or wrongly, transcend the medium to garner literary acclaim. As much as movies and action figure tie-ins have exposed the unwashed masses to the brand, through colourful martial arts and mainstream actors, that doesn't make the material any more accessible to a maligned video game franchise, infamously recognised for it's cartoon violence, and malformed fanbase.
A fanbase currently kicking and screaming about the loss of said cartoon violence; which will probably only lose the superficial conclusion of fatality, given the bredth afforded to a modern T rating that isn't hampered inhouse by the likes of Nintendo.
There's a lot of logic working against any chance of Vertigo meeting MK.
