and believe me that's one of the hardest things that a MK fan has to say. no matter how much i try to look past it, MKvsDC just looks like the same game i've been playing for years. personally, i think that MK Deception was the best 3-D MK game to date. it had a great story, the fighting was decent, and the cinematography was amazing. but most of all you could tell that they're heart and soul was put into the game. that heart and vigor somewhat faded with MK Armaggeddon...but now it looks as if they've stopped caring or stopped trying very hard all together. frankly, MKvsDC looks like sloppy leftovers to me. now, i know that it's a sin to mention StreetFighter on this board (please don't stone me) but right now i have white knuckle anticipation for this game. the visual art style is drastically fresh and we're given a taste of nostalgia with all original characters returning. but most importantly it stuck with what it was good at; the 2-D plane. this is not something i'm asking MK to completely mimic but perhaps they should return to the drawing board. we need a refresher...desperately. right now, i would love to see a Mortal Kombat I remake. retain the original formula just update the graphics. and yes that includes using photorealistic actors again. why this technology hasn't been used in ANY game recently with todays technology is beyond me. but anyway, i've rambled on long enough. just had to get that off my chest. thoughts?

If you loved MK :D very much then you would love this .Also havent you heared that the game will use MK (1-3) style .The one you loved

Other than this dont wit for anything .

Every fighting game has been the same shit since it were born only MK managed to take big steps and when they are trying to update the current system many people start to blame the team .

Yeah, the fighting mechanics are supposed to be like the 2D games. I think I even read in one article someone comparing it to MKII. That's my only hope for this game turning out somewhat decent.

A lot of the times, if you expect it to be disappointing, you'll play it, and you'll take everything critically, and point out all the bad things about the game, never even acknowledging anything good about it.

Like Klose-Kombat or Freefall mode. People say it's a gimmick, but frankly, if the game had solid little gameplay mechanics and clean little animations, but lacked the two modes above, I think THAT would be pretty boring. MK took it beyond one mode of kombat, and I think that's gonna add a lot to the game. Like I said, Tekken 6 looks more boring than MK vs. DC at this point.

you 1.that was 2 years ago and 2. he was refurign to mk8 this offer came along before mk8 was done and affter he had said that do soem reserch a good mk fan would know this! he did not lie mk8 will be there but right now mkvsdc is waht will help them found for the next gamegrin

hell yeah and sc4 for that matter i only played it for 3 days and have not touched it since to simple not enoguh and mk games allways add the perfect amount of whats needed sad thing is most the peopel that bash mkvsdc probbly wont even play it

....well you're probably right about that last part Joker. i can see myself renting this game but i can never respect it as a true MK game. that's just my purist nature.

Look, this game is 2 things.

A) A chance for a wavering franchise to get up and running with new audiences, and make a shitload of money

B) A chacne to try something new, go into untouched ground.

MK9 will be what you want, I can tell

I mean as a company, when you have a game coming out your job is to release things from and about the game to get people hyped/interested in the game so that they will go and buy it. Midway/MK team are failing to do just that. There not keeping the fans hyped and interested. Are a bunch of crappy random screenshots suppose to interest in buying their game? the gameplay vids they release never really show anything new and are always with the same characters. There advertising technique or whatever the hell you want to call it fucking sucks. Im sorry but releasing a screenshot of Sub-Zero climbing a wall is really stupid imo. How about some renders that haven't been revealed yet? Anything interesting is all I ask.

It's because of people like you that Midway feels compelled to release more and more shit about their games,up to and including the intro movies. There is no better way to completely fucking ruin the initial wow-factor of putting the game in the console and getting pumped the fuck up by the intro than to spoil everything you want to know about the game months before it's actually out. Whatever happened to leaving some things under wraps so that the gamers can discover them on their own?

Back in the 8-bit days,do you think there were any developers that gave enough of a shit to keep their ADD-stricken fanbase on a steady diet of renders,interviews and videos? The most you ever got was an occasional tiny blurry screenshot in a goddamned Nintendo Power.

I swear to god,kids these days...

Before the game is out,we are going to see all the renders,and a whole lot more. They are pacing themselves,have some fucking patience.

Not only that, but as I recall, noob.com is Ed Boon's site, and has no association with Midway and their advertising team. So whatever screen shots are released, are not a part of the advertising campaign, so it's pretty much extra stuff that Boon has no obligation to show us at all.

What the hell are you talking about? Have you not watched any videos of this game?

The gameplay is completely different. Theres Klose Kombat, free fall combat, and the dial a combo system has changed to a more custom combo style. Also, there is no side stepping, or parrying anymore.

So please, tell me how this is the same shit.

This game is a lot more interesting than some of MK's past titles. I actually think this will be one of the best MK games to date. It has a much bigger fan base do to DC's involvement. Plus it's the first MK game on the new systems. It has the look of past games, but so what. The character choices are really interesting. DLC such as Costumes,stages, and characters are endless.
To say this game bores you bothers me. If it bores you then why even talk about it?

Umm, why do people keep asking that question? He's talking about it because its his right to do so, just as it is your right to say the game is going to be great. It baffles my mind how people on these boards have such hissy fits and fanboy spazzouts when someone doesn't agree with their yes-man opinions of this game. My god get over it, there are some who like what they've seen and they can't wait to get their hands on MK vs DC, and they express that. And just the same there are those who do not like what they've seen so far, but are very much still fans of the MK brand, and just like you express your interest and excitement about the game, he and anyone else here can express how they feel about it too. As long as its done in the proper threads.
