That's... something to notice.

I think so far this is the best costume for Sub-Zero. Just like Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil, he and Reptile are the two characters to have the most wordrobe changes.

But yet, where I heard this from, they never mentioned anything about the Original Sub-Zero, they only mentioned Sub-Zero in general, though even combining the two Sub-Zero's we have, they do have the most costume changes.

Reluctant though I am to think of it as leather, I still think it's a little on the rubbery side. It looks too solid to me. Too sculpted.

I just had a second(well 5th or something) look at it, but yeah overall I think it looks pretty good ^_^.
Errmm I think the mask is good, I think sub looks a lil younger then usual, his eyes, they should be like bright white from the medallion, which seems to be missing hmmm, so he looks younger. Also his scar has gone down a bit but who cares its still there. Is it me or does he look a bit more asian. hmm. Yeah I really like the dragon prints on the costume I think there awesome. It looks as if is arms are like actual ice now..like normally they just looked a bit ya know icey skin if that makes sense :S haha....now looks like actual ice, looks good though. : ]... errr Im glad he's wearing pants instead of tights sorta things.
Overall I think the design is awesome. Its very classic, but sort of futuristic like the things he is wearing on his legs give it more of a futureistic feel so does the mask, but its also traditional with the whole classic ninja vest thing look.
I know some wont agree but I quite like the shoulder pads, but hey thats my opinon. The graphics look good, better then last gen obviously, I think the skin texture could be better but ahh well still looking good. It looks very cut and paste, I really wanna a non cut and paste version but still looks really good = ].
I really wanna see some in game screens and gameplay to though ^_^

atleast Midway seems to be going a different way with their graphics, more detail and more matte colours, it really makes sense for the game

instead of going the Namco route and slathering everything with a high sheen that makes all the characters look like they just took a bath in KY Jelly

Sub-Zero looks great, it's a more Iconic/modern take on the character than we've been seeing recently (while I prefer the Shredder and Mongolian looks) he just looks like Sub-Zero and that's a good thing,

Looks pretty much like the Sub-Zero we already saw in MKA. I don't really see any changes.

I'm surprised that they changed the mask back to the Deadly Alliance one, but I'm glad the scar is back.
I wonder if that means they're actually reading what we say, since there was such a brou-ha-ha about the scar when the trailer first came out?
I also wonder if the background's just an image from a previous game or if the Lin Kuei Temple from MKDA is back as a stage...

I also want to chip in on the "younger look" that someone else brought up. Since we noticed NO medallion or perhaps because of the "merge" either could be the reason for perhaps him looking younger?

Remember, Subby with the Medallion makes him more powerful but in exchange ages him faster. Example, MK:DA and MKD he had white hair....

Now it looks like he doesn't given his facial youthful look.

I quite like the costume design. Its more detailed than the likes of Shoalin Monks, yet more simplistic than some of the laster games, which sometimes ahve too much going on in costumes.

I think the graphics etc look fine.

I hope the Lin Kuei Temple is gonna make it as an in-game stage also.

You know, it might be possible that you may be able to customize certain aspects of the costumes such as masks in the game.

Tekken 5 had this feature.

I really like this costue design for Sub-Zero. I don't think ther'es ever been a costume design for him that I've not liked. The render is ok and vastly better than the Superman one.

I don't think so they look almost identical. The model is probably a work in progress. Plus the render seems to have more detail in it (something the ingame engine can't do)

I think it looks pretty good, wish they would have kept the orginal mask from the first trailer, think it looked better. This just looks like a rehash of the cryo mask from Armagedon. Nothing wrong with that as I loved the design, just wish they would have been a bit more of a radical change in the design, like the one seen in the trailer.

Subby's alt. should be his alt. in Deception, that one was my favorite...But the Subby render is pretty good. I mean, it's not horrible. This is my fav

Hmm, so which is it? is Sub-Zero going to have the mask from the MKvs.DC wallpaper & teaser trailer, or the new advanced cryo mask? either way they both look cool.

This is probably not set in stone yet. Many characters end up looking a little different in game than their renders. Take for example Scorpion's render in MK Shaolin Monks, it looks NOTHING like his in-game model which was a re-hash of his UMK3 costume. Shao Kahn in MK Deception had a re-vamp of his MK2 look in the renders but in-game he looked different. It's probably the same situation for this new Subbie render, I guess I like the cryo mask better.

Sub-Zero looks awesome. I like the new costume. My only critique are the shoulder pads. I would lose those. Keep the designs simple. The more frills you add and it begins to subtract from the original strength of the design.
I like the cryo-mask and the dragon emblems. They represent both continuity and a continuation of the previous games stories. The dragon emblems go along with not only the mk dragon logo itself but the Lin-Kuei dragon medallion Sub-Zero had in mkda and his mkd "Shredder" look. I also think the Cryo-mask should become the official Lin-Kuei mask for the clan since it has now made 3 game appearances including this one.

P.S. I also think Scorpion should lose the shoulder pads too.

Well, compared to the Scorpion render, this is a nice shift. Although I think the new mask design is interesting (and kinda refeshing), I was kinda into the trailer version with the silver sides. But the snowball engraving (or whatever the fuck that's suppose to be) is rather nice. And anyways, I prefer the more neo-armor aesthetic as to the pseudo-historical look we got with Scorpion's alt.

BTW, there's just absolutely no way in hell that trailer version was his alt. Considering that the MKD armor is still hanging in the closet somewhere, a subtly different ninja outfit makes no sense. If it is his alt, then the MK team has reached a whole new level of lazy.

Also, yay for the new scar. It finally doesn't look like red/blue paint. If they had left it out again, I would have lost my shit.

No. Apart from the mask, they're exactly the same.

It's just Sub-Zero's alt from MK:DA nothing more and plus he looks cross eyed.

I can't say i'm dissapointed cause I expected this.

I don't like it at all same goes with Scorpions and Supermans.
