MKast #6 Released

A brand new MKast has just been released on the official Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe website. Once again Hans and Hector host the new podcast. Senior game designer John Edwards and MK co-creator John Tobias also join in on the fun and reveal information about character stances and game play as well as new information on the comic book and arenas.

Notable snippets in the MKast is the return to MK2 glory for Kitana and the hint at multiple fatalities per character. Rage Mode is also discussed in depth and is said to be more balanced than previously thought. To listen to the newest MKast click here.

As always our thanks to the MK team for taking the time to make the MKasts and thanks to forum member for the lead on this story. We will keep you updated as more news is released.

I'm not going to reveal everything they said in the MKast in my news post. You have to listen to it yourself to get everything.

Anyways, congrats to Predator for getting another shout out!

it's actually got some really decent nuggets of information but it's by far and away the longest MKast yet so it would be hard to summarize any better then Pink_Ranger did.

I think the biggest thing to take away from it is the Rage Mode Clarifications:

it's all subject to change but at this time:

- attacks DON'T do more damage
-your attacks ARE NOT unblockable
-a single attack will not change the Rage(ing) characters animation, but several attacks stringed together may

are the 3 biggest things I took from it, especially #2 on that list. grats to predator as well.

well, Goro is in. I just pray that Bo Rai Cho or whatever his name is spelled is not in. And another thing, Kung Lao might make the cut. but, it was a good mkast. alot of the stuff they could have kept instead of wasting time. it was good. best yet

I don't think you can say right outta the gate that Goro is in because they played a voice soundbite from em, it was more because Tobias was found of him as a character, same for Bo Rai Cho. Really the only thing I took from that, in regards to character inclusion/exclusion, is that Mileena is probably not in the game since they gave one of her move's to Kitana and they expressly said characters will not be borrowing moves. That could change of course but I thought it was noteworthy.

Well, is Mileena a one move only character? Because Jax also has lost one move (to Superman), and he still appear in the game.

Well I'm sure other sites can offer a word by word transcript. I have far more important things to do. Apparently it doesn't matter that I try to get people to download the MKast rather than giving every bit of information away. Apparently it doesn't matter that pretty much every media outlet does the exact same thing in order to get people motivated to listen, read, go to movies, etc.

Next time you want to be an ass for no reason I suggest logging out instead because it will be responded to with skulls.

Yeah, but Superman has the ground pound and Jax is in, so maybe there's that one chance...

trust me. Goro is in. I kinda hope so because who would not want to see Goro next gen. everyone from the movie I think will be in this game. Last two for mk side are

1. Goro
2. Johnny Cage
3. Kahn. Merged boss

It is. It was stated that Rage mode would play a crucial role in the story.

from the gamespot interview here

Though rage will tie into the MK vs. DC storyline, providing an explanation for why all the characters in the game are in roughly the same league in terms of power, when it comes to gameplay, rage plays a very important role

It's also stated in the Mkast

Because they said the name and played a roar? Both from Armageddon. Theey played a soundbyte of Reptile's name from the interview where he was "deconfirmed" (still not buying that) but it didn't mean he was in.

Haha! It worked again! Schweet.

And I disagree, I think it had plenty of information in it given the time-frame we're in. We got stuff on past games, some new stuff on Kitana, the process in which moves and fatalities make it into the game, stuff about Tobias and the Comic book, and alot more.

I thought it was dope.

I'll break it down later...maybe tomorrow.

It was, I just checked'. Also, the raor was Blaze's from Armageddon, I also checked taht as well.

Jack Burton must side with ThePredator151 on this one...I thought it was rather informative.

The info revealed about Kitana was great; I'm glad I've got a sense of how the moves and fatalities make it into MK vs. DC now. I think we got some useful info from this.

And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.

Of course, but for me your reply was a little rough, not like a motivating answer to listen but a "shut-up" one. Probably, only my interpretation.
