Here you can post your rating of the game from what you have seen until now.
I know it's an early build but you can help MK team to see the weak points of the game and make it better.
My score:
Presentation: 7 Dark and rediculous at the same time
Graphics : 8.5 Beautiful, detailed HD characters and stages
Sound : 7 Repeating voices
Gameplay : 5 Choppy and robotic animation
Lasting Appeal : 8 story mode and online mode
-------------------------
Final score : 7.1

My Score:
Presentation: 8 - Dark and strong characters
Graphics : 9 - I very much love the graphics and the utilization of UR engine
Sound : 5 - I haven't heard much and no lasting memory of any soundtrack
Gameplay : 5 - It looks a'ight!
Lasting Appeal : 7 - Online mode only for me, I still hate the fact that it's a crossover.
-------------------------
Final score : 6.8
But I believe this will change as we see more trailers.. Mainly Gamelay and Sound.
Trax
MK vs DC:
Presentation: 10/10
Excellent stuff guys!
Graphics: 9/10
very very good! I loved the details and the realistic effects. Special moves look wicked! (again thank you so much for listening to all my Sonya bitching, Ilove you guys)
Sound: 6/10
I know its early, but I do hope that characters have more varied and distinctive voices. They sounded repetitive.
Special moves also needed cooler sound effects imo. Much more dramatic!
Gameplay: 6/10
Again, I know its early, but it doesnt look fluid and smooth...it looks a bit too much like the one in MKA, hopefully that will still change.
Lasting Appeal: (as in how much I loved this?) 9/10
Thank you guys! We love you.

Cool thread, even though it's early. I'll use your format for my post
My score:
1. Presentation: 3/10
Cons: I think this game was introduced poorly, and continued to be, all the way up until this point. Felt forced when they presented the trailer at that confrence, and everything seemed old and re-used after watching it.
Teaser Trailer itself was boring, and I feel that now, yea, I understand what they were trying to do. BUT, I think the content that they may have thought was supposed to be the highlight, didn't capture people like it was supposed to. Left me looking for the "substance" in the trailer. I couldn't really understand what they were trying to show us, because there's no way to figure out what free fall or close combat is, without having someone explain it, or without actually playing it. So, it was a questionable issue to think that we may have been captivated by those things. Felt like I was watching brand-new "nothing".
Renders needed more attention paid to them. Their quality was less than that of the MKSM renders, and there were noticeable mistakes in some of the cutouts. Some of the textures are still being re-used from last gen. It's a presentation taboo to allow these things to be seen, or even happen iMo. Why would they miss these things knowing how critical we are of their work?
The way they introduced the game is acceptable now, because how else could they have done it? However, I felt that a better teaser should have come first. One that was positively a gameplay teaser, or a graphics teaser. There was nothing innovative or even really different shown in that trailer, and there's still not in any of these videos that we got yesterday.
Well, actually let me rephrase that to say that the only thing new or innovative are the character designs. But where was the pride in the product in that teaser? Just saying they didn't show it effectively enough for me to get it. I'm pretty general guy, really reasonable, and quite perceptive. This should not have been a problem for me.
It was like "wtf!?" because of the concept of the game, and then "wtf was that??!" because of the trailer.
The interviews were fine except for divulging why this change was so dramatic. Fans don't really need to hear that the games' premise is sorta based on sales. I personally don't care about that unless the conversation pops up and I look for the numbers on the games. Fans just want the game to be awesome. So tell us as much as possible about why the game is awesome.
Novelty should be warranted. Not proposed and "sold".
Pros:MK Character Designs are all good. Shang Tsung looks the best. The hues from the early games and the movie//T.V. series is an excellent route to travel. It is a fan service that has been asked for numerous times in the past, and I think it gives more of a reason to buy this game rather than just some completely new designs. Offers a "fresh familiarity". I am extremely pleased with this compliance, although alone, it's not enough to sell me the game. Arenas look good as well. The arenas look "next-gen" right off the bat so, that was great.
Being this close to release is a good idea. I think that this is also a fan request being honored as well as just being a good decision on the marketing team after seeing what happened with MKA.
This game is not cannon. THANK YOU.
Neutral:Gameplay looks like they went back and examined parts of MK2 and UMK3 to me. Which is EXCELLENT! BUT it looks alot more like MKA's gamplay with some upgrades. Which has a bad notion attached to it, so it neutralizes that excitement to a considerable extent. In particular, it's that things still seem really predetermined, and robot-like in some of the animations....hm maybe they're not letting physics and the opportunities that it allows as much as they probably should be? I know there's no lack of physics, but maybe a part of the engine should be dedicated to action in order to allow us to do "whatever whenever"...idk if that's clear. "Have options based on the opportunities that physics allows"? We covered something like that in school last week.
Another thing that's pretty neutral right now is the atmosphere. It looks fine, but I'm not impressed with this games overall look so far. This honestly, could change dramatically though once I play it. Music plays a part in this, so it really still up in the air. When MK starts looking like a Horror//Fantasy Movie//Fighting game, THEN I'll drool. hahah... Doesn't look "scary" enough right now though.
That's all for presentation though...I'll edit if I notice I missed something.
2. Graphics: 6/10
Renders look bad, In-game looks good. Yea, one does matter more than the other one. But it didn't bolster faith that they could deliver quality, it deteriorated it for me.
3. Sound: 5/10
Haven't really heard enough of the game quite yet to tell. Although I will say, I wasn't impressed with the little sound bites in the podcast. The little voice captures y'know? Definitely do something different with the voices, and let everyone have their own voice finally.
Don't do all the males with just a deep voice. Make some of them raspy, wispy, throaty...let different guys in there and capture their real voices without really altering them. Some big, scary people sound like nerds..ect lol Same for the females.
But anyway...
4. Gameplay: 5/10
Looks good enough to definitely go rent it, and play it. I'm not really interested in the gimmicks(free fall & close combat) though. Those things seem like more of a deterrent than an attraction to me. Makes it seem like they were trying to over compensate for the lack of other, better but tougher to implement ideas. I'm more interested in how gameplay will generally feel for each of the characters. How inventive they got with everyone individually. How special moves work in real time, and all that.
"Looks fun" is the only criteria I used to get the score that's there. I'm still pretty apprehensive as you can tell.
5. Lasting Appeal: 4/10
There isn't a real appeal to this game besides it being a MK game. I want to know about the MK characters, and the other MK stuff. Don't really care about the story, don't really care about the DC characters, don't really care about the gimmicks or any of that stuff.
I'm now only really interested in how they'll make things work, and if it'll be fun to play or not. Oh, and Raiden(of course).
Would've been 5/10 but this game is T rated, taking away a part of MK's already thin integrity.

Anyway, that's my take generally speaking for right now. We'll see if that doesn't change a bit since it's still pretty early and we still haven't seen that much.

well using the unreal 3 engine it will look great. Just hope the rest
isnt a flop. The eye candy should by far be the best looking of any mk title.
I am still worried about the over all setting though mk vs dc they will really
need to bring the story home or it will probably not make the mk fans keeper list.

Presentation: 4/10.
Renders weren't that good but the teaser was okay. I find it stupid though that they changed Sub's mask from what it originally was.
Graphics: 6/10.
So far they are pretty good but the hair needs some work and the facial expressions are a little silly in Klose Kombat when people get hit
Gameplay: 5/10
Based on looking at it, the game play looks good. This is subject to change however.
Sound: 5/10
Need to hear more but so the voices sound like they do on last gen. The other effects aren't bad though, like wall breaking and special moves.
Lasting Appeal: 2/10
I hate DC. I have made this publicly known several times. I love MK. I hate the idea of a DC crossover and I want to know what the fuck happens after Armegeddon and what parts of Armegeddon are canon.
Overall: 4.4/10.
Add all the Free fall and the boxing you want, not much can make up for the horrible idea of Superman in an MK game. Watered down fatalities + less blood = rental.
If the game play is good enough, then maybe I'll consider the possibility of potentially buying the game.

I honestly dont really know. As an MK game it should be kinda crazy and wild but it should be a fucking FIGHTING game. Not, lets see who can spring together the most specials. I feel like they tore away from melee and its just magic. They do have combos but its like 3 punches and some uppercut. It needs to be fluid like DOA (like ive always wanted) but with a dark atmosphere like MK. Its too fuckin stiff for me, like always.
It better just be an early build. If they dont get the fighting right I prob wont even play it.

Presentation-10/10, looks great and dark...anyone who thinks otherwise must have been watching something else honestly, this is one thing most people surely can agree on lol.
Graphics-10/10-EASILY on par if not better then other fighters coming out, the detail looks amazing, from Scorpion's skull to Supermans fucked up, ripped costume details are insanely gorgeous. The bruising, blood looks very realistic. Liking that a lot! Very dark, gritty looking despite the "none M rating" which is trivial at this point anyway.....
Sound-8/10-considering that the game is FAR from done, I'm taking and judging this at this point with a HUGE grain of salt....the sound will improve I'm sure, but sounded pretty cool from what they're done so far.
Lasting appeal/replay value-9/10-I'm sure this game between the "openminded MK fans" and "DC fans craving for a game with DC characters this and online play, hopefully downloadable content etc will have a very high replay value
Gameplay-9/10-looks indeed like they're going back to the MK2/UMK3 route with customizing hot combos hehe, can't wait and now that dial ups are officially GONE, this game will be a lot more interesting with players creating interesting, unique combos themselves with special moves and juggles etc. I love the whole grab and smash someone thru 6 walls, that's great and realistic in a more "comic book way" yet has the MK vibe going on too with their specials.
Overall-9/10 for me, graphics, storyline, mixed MK and DC characters, online play and newer gameplay all sell me and I'm very much looking forward to this game, more so then MKD and MKA.
